The coastline of East and West Dapeng Peninsula is stunning. This was my first time trekking through the mountains to reach the seaside, and there were many unforgettable moments. Driving to the Shenzhen seaside for a hike for the first time, especially on a weekend, was quite an adventure. Traffic restrictions, car flow, routes, and time were all challenges that tested our every desire. Due to the need to return on the same day and the lack of time, we only managed to hike one-third of the entire route. However, this did not stop us from appreciating the beauty of East and West Dapeng Peninsula in Shenzhen. Unlike other well-developed seaside resorts, there is no noise from crowds. If you have enough time, you can even enjoy the beautiful sunrise and sunset on the shore. It was a very special experience!

The Shenzhen Dongxiyong Crossing Route is also Section 19 of Kunpeng Trail, starting from Xichong Tourist Resort and ending at Dongchong Community, with a total length of 6 km! It was rated as one of the ten most beautiful coastlines in China by National Geographic, and it definitely lives up to its reputation! However, to enjoy this beautiful scenery, you have to choose good weather. Although you may get a bit sunburned, believe me, the beauty of the glass sea under the sun will definitely make you feel that it's all worth it! Last time I parked near Xichong and took a taxi to the starting point. It’s quite convenient to walk back to the parking spot from Xichong No. 4 Beach in 15 minutes. **Backpacking equipment:** 🎒What should be packed in the backpack? Gloves are a must (really important!), as well as water, sun protection, a hat, sunglasses, and food. As for trekking poles, it depends on personal needs. I think it’s okay not to bring them. **Warm Tips:** ❕Here is a special reminder for everyone: 🌊The coastline is basically exposed to the sun throughout the whole journey, so sun protection and heat stroke measures must be taken! This route is quite difficult and is not as easy as the one in the scenic area. You will pass through rugged mountain roads, cliffs and reefs. Be sure to wear gloves as there are several places where you need to climb. If you are a novice hiker, you really need to be mentally prepared! ⛰️But don't worry, there will be a supply point every time you climb a hill. If you get tired or can't hold on halfway, you can take a boat to your destination at the supply point 🚣, the cost is 50 yuan per person. 🚗Traffic jams are likely to occur during weekend trips! ! It is recommended to avoid peak travel times. Last time I set off at 7 am, the journey was smooth and I arrived in three hours. But on the way back, there was a 5-hour traffic jam, which was really annoying! 🏝️Let's talk about the beach. There are fewer people on the beach in Tung Chung, and the sand is clean and soft. -Day 1📅 Arrive in Luohu at 10:00 am on the first day. Take Line 1 and go straight to the mall. Went to Coco Park first. At noon, I drank Narcissus's Songlin Latte and ate Chaoshan dish Haimen Fish. In the afternoon, I took the subway to MixC, had Luneurs ice cream, and bought the clothes and shoes I liked. I found that the shopping malls in Shenzhen are all-encompassing, with major brands gathered together and also specialty restaurants from various places. The mall is big and new, and you can basically find all the brands you want in Mixc World. The restaurants I used to eat at in Shanghai and Hangzhou can now be found in Shenzhen, and I can even buy cycle clothes from them! Stay at Jiaochangwei at night. It's really blissful to listen to the sound of the waves. -Day 2📅 The main task of this day is to cross the East and West River! It took half an hour by taxi to Tung Chung to the starting point, and then began a long six-hour journey. In fact, the distance is not very far, but there are unmaintained roads and gravel beaches along the way, which makes walking quite difficult and requires ropes for assistance. There was a section where you had to use your hands and feet to climb the slope, which was really a big challenge for me. But all the tiredness will disappear when you see the sea view! It really deserves to be the most beautiful coastline! It was still cloudy in the morning, but when we arrived at the Xichong Observatory around 2pm, the sky was clear and the sea became even bluer under the reflection of the sky. After coming down from the observatory, I took a taxi to the nearest subway station and fell asleep in the car because I was so tired.
