Shenzhen Dongxiyong Observatory Cross-coastline Hiking Guide: Sea and mountain embrace, beautiful scenery and challenges coexist
It was rated as one of the ten most beautiful coastlines in China by National Geographic, and it definitely lives up to its reputation! On the left is the endless sea 🌊, sparkling, and on the right is the majestic mountains ⛰️, lush greenery. It feels like walking in a painting!
However, to enjoy this beautiful scenery, you have to choose good weather. Although you may get a bit sunburned, believe me, the beauty of the glass sea under the sun will definitely make you feel that it's all worth it! It is so much more beautiful than when it is cloudy and there is no sun!
**Travel Tips:**
⚠️Friends who plan to drive on the weekend, please pay attention! Be sure to make an appointment in advance! ! Because the vehicles will be controlled. Remember to make an appointment on "Guangdong-Shenzhen Local Life" [Greenhouse Self-Driving Appointment]
**Route Planning:**
🗺️Our route is: Chuanbiyan - Tung Chung - Observatory - Xichong. The starting point is Tung Chung Community Work Station and the end point is Xichong No. 4 Beach.
**Parking Tips:**
🅿️For parking, you can locate the Xinwu Volunteer Forest Fire Station. There is a free parking lot No. 9 nearby, but the number of spaces is relatively small and it is on a first-come, first-served basis. Last time I parked near Xichong and took a taxi to the starting point. It’s quite convenient to walk back to the parking spot from Xichong No. 4 Beach in 15 minutes.
**Backpacking equipment:**
🎒What should be packed in the backpack? Gloves are a must (really important!), as well as water, sun protection, a hat, sunglasses, and food. As for trekking poles, it depends on personal needs. I think it’s okay not to bring them.
**Warm Tips:**
❕Here is a special reminder for everyone:
🌊The coastline is basically exposed to the sun throughout the whole journey, so sun protection and heat stroke measures must be taken! This route is quite difficult and is not as easy as the one in the scenic area. You will pass through rugged mountain roads, cliffs and reefs. Be sure to wear gloves as there are several places where you need to climb. If you are a novice hiker, you really need to be mentally prepared!
⛰️But don't worry, there will be a supply point every time you climb a hill. If you get tired or can't hold on halfway, you can take a boat to your destination at the supply point 🚣, the cost is 50 yuan per person.
🚗Traffic jams are likely to occur during weekend trips! ! It is recommended to avoid peak travel times. Last time I set off at 7 am, the journey was smooth and I arrived in three hours. But on the way back, there was a 5-hour traffic jam, which was really annoying!
🏝️Let's talk about the beach. There are fewer people on the beach in Tung Chung, and the sand is clean and soft. As for Xichong Beach, I didn't go in because it charges a fee.
**One last word:**
PS: Respect nature, pay attention to safety, and do what you can. Take the trash with you and let the beautiful scenery stay with us forever! 💕
