There are multilple reasons why I chose to fly with Air Asia always, but one thing for sure is the cheapest fare. Speaking from experience, my flights from Bangkok to Manila and vice versa were always on time. Also, my recent flights to Vietnam and Bali were very smooth. And I also love how accommodating the staff were and the cabin crew. Of course just like some other airlines existing today, it also has their own downsides. Neverthless, I would still choose to fly with Air Asia because of my previous experiences.

Love flying with Air Asia
Took Air Asia from Singapore to Chiangrai via Bangkok, and the flight was smooth and comfortable.
The air fare was also very reasonable and price for inflight beverages was affordable.
Cabin crews were friendly and professional, and flight was on time.
Transit at Bangkok Don Meung international airport was also a breeze.
Will fly with Air Asia Thailand again soon.
Thank you Air Asia for the smooth and memorable trip.

DMK Airport
Don Mueang International Airport is another popular airport in Bangkok. It seems to have a lot of AirAsia flights (the budget airline for Southeast Asia). There are both domestic and international flights that come in and out of DMK. The airport is smaller than BKK, but it has plenty of shops, restaurants, a food court, and affordable massage room. We will definitely be flying in and out of DMK frequently as we travel around Thailand and Southeast Asia. There are a couple of airport shuttle bus lines from central Bangkok that will take you here.

We have got the chance last week to revisit Bangkok after so long ! And just imagine how excited we were.
We flew by Batik Air from Kuala Lumpur to Bangkok and landed at Don Mueng International Airport.
There is water cooler immediately after we got off the flight which is so very thoughtful of the airport.
This time around the airport was really clean and there is a robot in charge for such cleaning services. Do take a look in one of the pictures shared here.
Multiple banks and money changer services are available for convenience and also the duty free shops for perfumes.
Not forgetting the popular 7-11 convenient stores.
Free transfer to Suvarnabhumi International Airport is provided but you must have an air ticket at that airport, show the airport guys to enjoy the complimentary service.

There are fews options for getting from Don Meuang Airport to Bangkok city town.
1. Catch-up the Taxi matter
This is might be the common and easy way to get to town if you are traveling with a lot and large suitcases.
Price is depending on kilometers, estimated: 250 to 380Bath ( including a toll fee )
2. Take a shuttle buses+Skytrains
This is the cheapest way to get to town but might be not suitable for a traveller who travelling with a lot and large of suitcase bectou will have too many time of transition.
- take shuttle buses from Don Mueang to Khokot BTS station and then transit at Mochit bts station to heading to Sukhumvit line, and stop at Thong lo where is the city center and you can go everywhere.

Early Morning, Breakfast Choices
#createwithtrip
Today I am flying back to Kuala Lumpur on a early flight with Air Asia. As you know Don Mueang is a little far from Sukhumvit area. So I normally go early if it is early flight.
After all the documents checked and pass the immigration, I felt a little hungry. At the moment the airport still hasn’t fully back to previous glory before covid pandemic. Early morning time was still very quiet and limited choices for breakfast.
I managed to find a food area with few fast food chains such as McDonald, Subway and Piri Piri.
I ordered McD breakfast and charged my phone, then I proceeded to the departure gate waiting for my first flight back to Malaysia after Covid pandemic.

DMK Don Mueang International Airport 🛫
The airport is considered to be one of the world's oldest international airports and Asia's oldest operating airport.[1] It was officially opened as a Royal Thai Air Force base on 27 March 1914, although it had been in use earlier. Commercial flights began in 1924, making it one of the world's oldest commercial airports. The first commercial flight was an arrival by KLM Royal Dutch Airlines.[2]
In September 2006, Don Mueang Airport was closed and replaced by the newly opened Suvarnabhumi Airport,[3] before reopening on 24 March 2007 after renovations. Since the opening of the new airport, it has become a regional commuter flight hub and the de facto low-cost airline hub. In 2015, it became the world's largest low cost carrier airport.[4]
Don Mueang previously carried the BKK IATA code, which subsequently transferred to Suvarnabhumi, and was an important hub of Asia and the hub of Thai Airways International prior to its closure. At its peak, it served most[clarification needed] air traffic for the entire country, with 80 airlines operating 160,000 flights and handling over 38 million passengers and 700,000 tons of cargo in 2004. It was then the 14th busiest airport in the world and 2nd in Asia by passenger volume. Currently, Don Mueang is the main hub for Nok Air, Thai AirAsia and Thai Lion Air.

Graduation
My graduation ceremony in #bangkok #mytravelhacks 🗓️Itinerary Scheduling:9:15am 📍Address:Chulalongkorn
#thailand
The master graduation ceremony at Chulalongkorn University is a momentous occasion that encapsulates years of hard work, dedication, and intellectual growth. As one of Thailand’s most prestigious institutions, Chulalongkorn University’s ceremonies are marked by a blend of tradition, academic excellence, and personal achievement. For graduates, this ceremony is not just a formal conclusion of their studies but a celebration of their journey and an exciting prelude to their future endeavors.
**Preparations and Anticipation**
The weeks leading up to the graduation ceremony are filled with a mix of anticipation and nostalgia. Graduates, having completed their final exams and thesis defenses, turn their attention to the formalities of the event. Invitations are sent to family and friends, academic regalia are collected, and rehearsals are attended to ensure that the ceremony proceeds smoothly. Each graduate reflects on their unique journey through their master's program—recalling sleepless nights, challenging projects, and the camaraderie built with peers and professors.
**The Ceremony**
On the day of the graduation, Chulalongkorn University’s campus buzzes with excitement. The university’s stately halls and lush gardens provide a picturesque backdrop for the event. Graduates don their gowns and mortarboards, adorned with hoods representing their specific fields of study. Families and friends gather, eager to witness this milestone.
The ceremony typically begins with a procession of faculty members and dignitaries, a testament to the university’s rich academic heritage. The graduates follow, marching in unison to the rhythmic strains of traditional Thai music. This procession is both solemn and celebratory, embodying the respect for academic achievement and the joy of accomplishment.
The commencement speeches are often a highlight of the ceremony. Distinguished speakers—ranging from university officials to notable alumni—offer words of wisdom, encouragement, and inspiration. These speeches resonate deeply with the graduates, as they reflect on their past achievements and look forward to future challenges.
**Receiving the Diploma**
The moment each graduate steps onto the stage to receive their diploma is charged with emotion. Names are called, and one by one, graduates approach the podium. The act of receiving the diploma symbolizes the culmination of their hard work and dedication. For many, this moment is surreal, a tangible acknowledgment of years of effort. The applause from the audience, filled with loved ones, adds to the sense of pride and accomplishment.
**Celebration and Reflection**
After the formal ceremony, the celebration continues with photo sessions, gatherings, and traditional Thai festivities. Graduates take pictures with their peers, professors, and family members, capturing memories that will last a lifetime.

Try the Worldclass Pang Cha Thai Tea @ Don Mueng Airport
I was pleasantly surprised to find an outlet of Pang Cha Worldclass Thai Tea located inside the international flight waiting area of Terminal 1 of Dong Mueng airport in Bangkok. Their tea has a nice, intense flavour. I got a version of their Royal Thai Tea with 3 kinds of bubbles (boba, grass jelly, and Thai tea boba). This choice is their best seller and perfect for me at times when I am too lazy to decide which bubbles I want for that day. will definitely revisit when i am travelling out of this airport when heading to Bangkok. #travelanywhere #bangkok #thailand #airport
