Glaciers not only provide magnificent landscapes but are also perfect for ice sports like ice climbing and skiing. Parco Delle Cascate: This is a beautiful park with many waterfalls and lakes, a nice spot for tourists to take a leisurely walk and enjoy the scenery. Marmolada-Fassa Glacier: This is the largest glacier in the Dolomites and also the location of the highest peak in the entire Alps. Visitors can take a cable car to the top of the glacier to enjoy a spectacular panoramic view. Little Tips The hiking season in the Dolomites lasts from early June to mid-October, but the temperatures in June and October are relatively low, especially in October when extreme weather can suddenly drop temperatures to around 0°C. In winter (December to April), temperatures range from 0-10 degrees Celsius, with frequent snow in the Alpine region, making it perfect for skiing. Ski enthusiasts, get ready to hit the slopes!

Put on your hiking shoes and get ready for some jaw dropping views 🥹 The Dolomites are the perfect place to visit for adventurers and outdoor enthusiasts! Here are our tips: 🗺️ Places to visit / Things to do: 1. Lago di Braies: The most beautiful lake in the Dolomites which can be accessed by car. The boats can only be rented during summer and are a bit overpriced 😅 It’s worth it though 🛶 2. Lago di Braies: Due to the easy accessibility the lake gets very crowded throughout the day. Either visit early in the morning or before sunset to avoid the crowds 💦 3. Tre Cime di Lavaredo - Basic Hike: Park at Rifugio Auronzo (quite expensive) and walk around the 3 peaks (beginner friendly) 🥾 4. Cave at Tre Cime di Lavaredo: Start the basic hike and go to Dreizinnenhütte. Behind it you can already see the caves. The hike takes very long and depending on the season it can be easy or difficult (we went in May with melting snow and it took 12 hours) 😅 5. Alpe di Siusi: You can only drive up by car if you book a hotel. Otherwise you need to take the cable car 🚠 There are different ones but our favorite is the one from St. Ulrich. 6. Malga Sanon at Alpe di Siusi: Don‘t miss this restaurant with the cute lookout at Alpe di Siusi ❤️ 7. The Restaurant also has a swing with an amazing view 🥹 8. Lago di Sopapis 💙 Park at the hotel B&B Passo Tre Croici Cortina and start the hike from there. It‘s not hard but takes 2 hours to reach the lake. 9. Val di Funes 💚 The viewpoint is next to the church Santa Maddalena. Park in the town and walk up the street because it‘s very narrow. 10. Seceda 🏔️ Take the cable car in St. Ulrich (around 35€ pP, dogs allowed with muzzle). Had the most amazing time at dolomites this past summer. We were there for 5 days and everyday we saw many beautiful places. We started off going to the famous Lake di Braies and took a boat out. The water was so clear you can see the reflection of the mountains. Then we went to hike at Tre Cime di Lavaredo for a few hours. We did 10km trail. But didn't do a loop because we found another trail that led us to the small lakes and good view of the mountains. Next we drove to Secada. We took the cable car up to see the most breathtaking landscape. It rained and fogged up in the beginning. But when the sky cleared up it was all worth it. Heaven on Earth and the natural land on the Dolomites I can say in one word that this trip used up a lot of beauty, traveling to Northern Italy this time. I didn't expect and dream that when I actually saw the tourist attractions, they would be so incredibly beautiful. Northern Italy is very famous for another one of the most beautiful mountain ranges in the world called the "Dolomites". Many people may not have a picture of how to travel and whether they can travel by themselves. For me, I have a self-guided travel style by renting a car and studying where the tourist attractions are. Once you understand the places, you can plan your route more easily by taking the same route and places together, and tying other zones together for the next day. The advantage of traveling by self-driving in a country with beautiful nature is that we will gain profit from passing each route because every area will be beautiful along both sides of the road. The selection criteria were: the Dolomites are widely considered one of the most attractive mountain landscapes in the world, and their unique "Dolomite landscape" has international geomorphological significance and geological value. Today, magnificent mountain scenery, vertical rock walls, steep cliffs, and scattered, deep, and narrow valleys are everywhere. Walking through them feels like entering an ecological treasure trove.
