The Unification Observatory is a place you should definitely visit at least once. The weather was good, so the North Korean land was clearly visible. The modern building is impressive. You can go there only if one representative from the Unification Security Park fills out an entry/exit report. I came to the northernmost part of the East Sea, As a soldier who was discharged from the front line, I was naturally immersed in memories, and this is where I came to visit. My old military days came back vividly. I couldn't take many pictures due to security regulations, but anyone can come, but I was able to see North Korea, which no one has ever seen, through a telescope, and the spectacular view of the mountains and the sea with the colors of the weather these days is indescribable and a great educational experience.

#aprilblooms 🇰🇷Soulful Seoul🇰🇷 The next place we visited on our DMZ tour was the 3rd Infiltration Tunnel, where we had the chance to walk inside the tunnel, we needed to wear a helmet and no devices allowed inside. The walk down and climb up was very steep. It was challenging to say the least. We had to crouch while walking once in the tunnel. ✨The tunnel was discovered in 1978. The length of this tunnel is 1635 meters, but the majority of this tunnel stays in North Korea and only a small portion of it stays in South Korea to be precise 1200 meters of this tunnel stays in the North and the rest stays in the South which is 435 meters. The tunnel lies 73 meters under the ground which is as high as 25-story building. We had to go down this deep using this walkway tunnel built by South Korea for tourists. This is the DMZ Museum in Gosung, Gangwon-do. It explains in detail the history of the division of Korea and the Korean War. There was more to see than I thought. The museum was large, the bathrooms inside were clean, and there was a souvenir shop. #OverseasFlightEvent #DomesticTravel

#koreatrip Gosung DMZ Museum offers a history of Korean war and the progress of DMZ layouts. They displayed escape boats used by North Koreans. This place is inside the military lines, so you have to get the clearance and pass before crossing the checkpoint. Also, they displayed the Berlin wall. It's definitely worth a visit if you're in the area! Plus, the entrance fee is super cheap. On the downside, you will need a car as there isn't any public transport that goes here.

This is the sunrise in Gosung, Gangwon-do. I woke up early in the morning and the birds were about to rise. It's nice to see the sea after a long time.

It was a very meaningful moment during my trip. The first time I saw the North up close since I was born. A place you can only go to if you fill out the Unification Observatory entry/exit report form. Goseong Unification Observatory at the end of National Road No. 7! It was a day when fine dust was severe, so the North was not clearly visible, but the coastline, which was more beautiful than any sea, and the North Korean outposts that I could see with my naked eye, are unforgettable. What the coastline is really like. It was lonely and beautiful. I think I will remember it for a long time.. - The DMZ Museum was free to enter, but it was so well decorated that I felt sorry for not being able to see it for free. I felt proud for some reason! In particular, the feeling I had when I filled out the Unification Observatory entry/exit report form at the entry/exit report office was so strange that it was hard to express. It was definitely a more fun and special time than I expected. Among the trips I've had, I highly recommend it as a Goseong travel course🖤 - - 🔺️Off-season admission fee: 9:00 AM - 3:30 PM / 3,000 won Parking fee: 5,000 won (no individual departure, waited about 15 minutes) 🔺️You must fill out an entry application at the Unification Security Park to enter the Unification Observatory!
