However, there is a way to stay on a local island and visit a resort island on a one-day tour♪ I visited Adaaran Club Rannalhi I was able to go from the local island of Maafushi for $105🤗 The fee includes the boat ride to the resort island and food and drinks on the island (including unlimited alcohol🍻)! As you can see in the photos, the sea and overwater bungalows are stunning✨ I wanted to stay in an overwater bungalow, but I was happy to experience the resort vibe on a budget✨ *You can stay on Maafushi Island for about $30 per night per person.

The all-inclusive package was quite comprehensive, covering meals and drinks, though the food quality could be a bit inconsistent at times. The main restaurant offered buffet-style dining with decent variety. We spent a lot of time snorkeling directly from the beach, and the marine life was impressive. While it might not have the ultra-luxury polish of some other resorts, the friendly staff, lovely natural surroundings, and good value make it a solid choice for those looking for a laid-back Maldivian holiday."

In my opinion, the beach villas are the best for value as you'll get to enjoy the same resort facilities, same dining options etc. If you don't want to break the bank, the resort also offers day trips priced at USD130 per pax including boat transfers. The day trips leave Maafushi at 9am, and leave this resort at around 5pm. Don't forget to try the amazing Maldivian cuisine, sip on refreshing cocktails and enjoy breathtaking sunset views. It's a paradise!
