Trip to Aarhus 🇩🇰
It was a trip to Aarhus, Denmark. Just want to share my itinerary that I’d highly recommend🙌
I started the day at the ARoS Aarhus Art Museum, where I explored the vibrant contemporary art exhibits. The highlight for me was the "Your Rainbow Panorama," a colorful circular walkway offering panoramic views of the city. It's a perfect spot for both art lovers and photographers 📸
📍 Aros Allé 2, 8000 Aarhus
💰 Around 160 DKK for adults.
I loved wandering through Den Gamle By, an open-air museum that takes you back in time to the 16th to 20th centuries. Walking through the cobblestone streets and historical buildings was like stepping into a different era. I also recommend visiting the bakeries for a taste of traditional Danish pastries 🥐
📍Viborgvej 2, 8000 Aarhus
💰Around 150 DKK for adults.
If you are looking for somewhere good for dinner, I would suggest you to try Mefist. It’s is a seafood restaurant where I had some of the best mussels I’ve ever tasted. The atmosphere is relaxed and charming, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploration.
📍 Volden 28, 8000 Aarhus
💰 250-400 DKK per person.
I also spent a tranquil morning at the Aarhus Botanical Garden. It's a beautiful spot with diverse plant collections and a greenhouse that showcases plants from around the world. A perfect place for a morning stroll or a picnic 💐
📍Møllevejen 10, 8000 Aarhus
💰 Free.
I also explored the Moesgaard Museum and found it fascinating, especially for those interested in archaeology and anthropology. The exhibitions on Viking culture and ancient Denmark were particularly captivating.
📍 Moesgård Allé 15, 8270 Højbjerg
💰Around 140 DKK for adults.
For dinner, I’d recommend Restaurant Substans, a Michelin-starred restaurant where I had an unforgettable dining experience. The tasting menu focuses on local, organic ingredients, and every dish was a work of art 💯
📍 P. Hiort-Lorenzen Vej 1, 8000 Aarhus
💰 700-1,200 DKK per person.
I also took a leisurely morning walk around the grounds of Marselisborg Palace, the summer residence of the Danish royal family. Although the palace itself isn't open to the public, the surrounding gardens are a lovely place to relax.
📍Kongevejen 100, 8000 Aarhus
💰 Free

Aarhus with Den Gamle By, Denmark 🇩🇰
Aarhus is look like a cultural city in Denmark, one place that I’ve visits is The old town Den Gamle By, which is the museum that makes you feel like you are back in the old-school with the Jolly Cola 🥤😎.
I had an original Danish bread, it's called “Smørrebrød”. It's a rye bread topped up with smoky salmon🐟 or beef 🥩. I super enjoyed eating there…and a pork rinds for a snacking time 😋.
You know how to get fat now??! 😁😆
Moreover the Den Gamle By, I walked around the city and found the traffic light 🚦which has a Viking sign that completely meant about Scandinavian culture and history.
What do you think about “it would be good if we have different traffic light 🚦 in different countries which relate to your culture”?

🇩🇰 Aarhus - Where the old and new meet each other
Being the second largest city in Denmark 🇩🇰, Aarhus is definitely a place that you don't wanna miss during your stay in the country! 😍 #familytravel
🏡 Make a stop at Den Gamle By - that means 'the old town' in English, to explore the history of the city from the 16th century!
Split into three parts, you can see how the Danes live before the 1900s, in the 1920s, and in the 1970s, by immersing yourself in the nostalgic shops! 😮 Did you know this museum is the first open air museum in the entire world? 🙈
🎨 Feel the modern and artistic side of Aarhus in ARoS - Aarhus art museum! The museum is full of modern art and installations, and the exhibitions are always changing... This makes your visit unique from others 😍
Make sure you go on to the 10th floor when you make your visit here! 🗼 You can have a panoramic view of the city in the rainbow bridge 🌈 and it's quite fun to see the city with color filters!
Daytime may be short during the winter here, but it won't stop us from exploring the world everyday, right? 📸😉
