#2024Travel Review Daxu Ancient Town is located on the east bank of the Li River, 23 kilometers away from Guilin City. It was built in 200 AD. The ancient Dawei Old Street stretches for 2 kilometers along the Li River. The old-glossy bluestones are paved on the narrow streets of the ancient town. On both sides of the stone road are well-preserved old houses. It reached its peak in the Ming and Qing Dynasties; it is a famous historical and cultural town in China and one of the four ancient towns in Guangxi. Most of the monuments were built during the Ming and Qing Dynasties, and there are many cultural monuments to see. When visiting Daxu Ancient Town, in addition to admiring the natural scenery and cultural landscape of the ancient town, some local delicacies in the surrounding areas are also a must-try for foodies, and some ethnic souvenirs can also be purchased.

20 kilometres southeast of Guilin lies a tranquil little ancient town: Daxu. It sits on the bank of the Li River, and it’s main alley stretches to at least 2.5km long.
