#timetotravel There is a small surfing town with beautiful beaches and lots of small boutique hotels and coffee shop in Dapeng. It really feels like being in some exciting island somewhere outside of China. But in reality it’s a few hours dive east of Shenzhen. We have been here several times over the years and also stayed at one of the cute hotels just at the beach. You can play with your SUP here or simply rent one. During the summer months the temperature by the beach is actually quite warm. The little town is full of streets and alleys and each time we come we find something new. This hidden cove is located in a small villa area in the Western side of the dapeng peninsula. We stayed in a villa for a night. It was huge and had everything you could possibly need for a group of people to have a grand time. There was a karaoke room, a games room, a conference room with a huge TV and a balcony. We had an amazing BBQ with steak, hot dogs, seafood, vegetables and more. In the morning we went to the beach cove in the pictures and went swimming. It was a perfect place to relax away from any crowds. We basically had the beach to ourselves. I would definitely come here again given the chance, this beach is far better than the one near the old dapeng fortress town. #beachlife #staycation

Qiniangshan Park, on Dapeng Peninsula in Shenzhen, is a great day trip from anywhere in the Pearl River Delta. The climb to the top is a good challenge and the view from the top is brilliant. The park is huge and there are many trails to choose from. Right now there are many wildflowers over the mountain. Each trail includes a steep slope for the adventurous and a gentle slope for casual hiking. Both scenes are enjoyable. The paths wind and interweave with one another. You can join your pals at the rest site and chat. Your first target should be the new wooden observation deck. There are large pieces of volcanic rock at this site. The edge of the deck is a great location for skyline photos. The view is amazing! We went hiking in the spring. The weather is cool and has overcast skies. This made for wonderful contrast photos with sweater weather styles. This temperature is enjoyable and there aren’t many insects. There are plenty of wild song birds and lovely dogs. The descent is best done slowly. We opted for the gentle slope so we could stay comfortable. We made it down from the 3rd OB deck in just one hour. With a big group it’s better to gather together near the end of the trail and travel out together. Ride the tram back to the start point at YangMeiKeng bridge. Cost is 13¥. The seaside view is marvelous. This is Shenzhen, a miraculous city that has transformed from a fishing village into an international metropolis in just forty years. My journey begins from this height in the clouds, yet I touch its most authentic warmth in the steaming vapor of a casserole of seafood congee. The Innovative Pulse Beneath the Steel Skeleton The "height" of Shenzhen is awe-inspiring. The daily rental of the Kingkey 100 building was once ten times that of the capital. Although now surpassed by the Ping An Finance Centre, it remains a living fossil of the city's history of striving. Passing through the High-Tech Industrial Park, within the glass curtain walls are Huawei's laboratories and Tencent's coding world. Young engineers hurry by, as if every step is in sync with the beat of the future. In the Huaqiangbei electronics market, parts and dreams are disassembled and reassembled, and the eyes of entrepreneurs are as fervent as the soldering points on a circuit board. This city never lacks the spirit of "daring to try," just as a taxi driver joked, "The word 'lying flat' doesn't exist in the Shenzhen dictionary." In the early morning chill, I drove to Dapeng Peninsula. The winding mountain road, like a verdant ribbon, gradually unfolded the poetry of nature. Upon arrival, the azure sea came into view, blending seamlessly with the sky, creating a serene and distant scene that took my breath away. I hiked along the coastline, the fresh breeze carrying the salty scent of the sea, while the gentle whispers of waves lapping against the rocks filled my ears. The secluded bays seemed like harbors of time, with fishing boats swaying and distant mountains undulating like a painting. At Dapeng Fortress, the weight of history was palpable, with cobblestone streets and ancient walls bearing witness to the land's vicissitudes and glory. In the afternoon, I climbed a hillside to take in the panoramic view. The peninsula shimmered under the sunlight, with green and blue interweaving into a gentle rhythm.
