Took a half-day off on a weekday to spend time with my parents. They wanted to take the Star Ferry, enjoy the sea breeze, and then stroll around Harbor City in Tsim Sha Tsui before having a meal. After walking for a while, they spotted Dan Ryan's Chicago Grill. They mentioned that the restaurant has been around as long as Harbor City itself, making it iconic and nostalgic, so they decided to dine there. We noticed the CHICAGO SET, which allows each person to customize their meal. However, since American portions are large, two sets were more than enough for the three of us. The clam chowder was rich, creamy, and flavorful, with chunks of clam meat. The signature Caesar salad was crisp and fresh. Slow-roasted imported baby back ribs (half portion) $328 The meat was tender, flavorful, and fell off the bone. The dish also came with irresistible fries and refreshing coleslaw to balance the richness. FISH AND CHIPS $268 Even my mom, who usually avoids fried food, wanted to try the fried fish. The fish was served in large, crispy pieces with a thin batter that wasn’t overly thick. The fish itself was tender and smooth, and the cherry pepper tartar sauce added a delightful kick. The dish also came with fries. DESSERT options included American-style ice cream sundae or brownie. Dan Ryan's Chicago Grill, located in Kowloon Tong, is a famous American family restaurant. The brand has been around for 27 years, and I believe most Hong Kong people have tasted its dishes, which can definitely be called one of the classics of American cuisine! The restaurant's decoration has a very American party atmosphere, with bright lighting, a large TV showing a football game, and a large number of oil paintings, giant bull heads, electric trains, etc. hanging on the walls. The atmosphere is quite lively. The store has spacious seats, including a bar counter, a four-person table and a large round table, which is suitable for gatherings of different people. I have been to Dan Ryan many times and always come away with a satiating meal. This time I came again to try the new super-giant Bold Burger Menu! There are six types of burgers, each with a generous portion, which is definitely a must-try for big eaters! After ordering the food, the waiter will present Dan Ryan appetizer bread, which comes in 3 types with different flavors and textures.
