The Zen Temple in Hulunbuir Grassland
Dajue Zen Temple is a temple standing on the grassland, with a road running through the surrounding hills. The Zhalainuoer Dajue Zen Temple covers an area of 30,000 square meters and has a building area of 7,700 square meters. It consists of the Mountain Gate, Bell Tower, Stele Pavilion, Hall of Heavenly Kings, Mahavira Hall, Three-faced Guanyin Statue, Sutra Pavilion, and Eight Side Halls. It is the northernmost temple in China. The temple is magnificently decorated with carved beams and painted rafters, filled with incense smoke, and exudes a grand royal aura. Dajue Zen Temple mainly enshrines statues of Shakyamuni and other Buddhas. In the temple, there is an outdoor 21-meter-high white marble statue of the Three-faced Guanyin, which is considered the largest Buddha statue in the northern frontier.
