There are currently 9 brick-wood structure houses, most of which are double-eave hard mountain top houses with green-gray tile roofs. They are mainly composed of beam-lifting and bucket-arch mixed structures. The mountain frame mostly uses bucket-arch structures, and the main room frame generally uses beam-lifting structures. Among them, the No. 9 courtyard is a courtyard-style building. The structure adopts the form of a horse-turning corner tower. The room has 3 bays and 2 floors. The 2nd floor eaves and columns are set with corridors, and each workshop is connected to each other. This type of architectural form is mostly used by merchant families. Simao has become a heavy town where merchants gather during the Qing Dynasty (Daoguang). Tea, native cloth, and salt are the main commodities for export, and cotton, medicinal materials, kerosene, foreign indigo, matches, ivory, and antlers are imported. The Daijia Lane Ancient Buildings are the only remaining ancient street shop buildings in our district. The original pattern still exists. It is of great value for studying the history and architectural art of Simao. It is an important historical relic in our district.
