Jusangjeolli are stone pillars piled up along the coast and is a designated cultural monument of Jeju Island. Jusangjeolli Cliff was formed when the lava from Hallasan Mountain erupted into the sea of Jungmun. They are rock pillars shaped like cubes or hexagons of various sizes and almost seem as if stone masons had carved them out. The administration of the district named them 'Jisatgae Rocks' from their old name 'Jisatgae'.

When Mount Hallasan erupted into the Jungmun Sea, its lava suddenly cooled, shrinking in mass, forming the many cube-like blackish rock pillars that we collectively know today as the #jusangjeolli Cliff. Formed hundreds of thousands of years ago, it is also one of #jeju designated cultural monuments

This is a geological wonder of Jeju - the cliff is a volcanic rock formation made up of vertical pillars shaped in cubes of hexagons. Amazing view as you walked along the trail. Tickets are at 2000 won per adult and 1000 per child/youth. Also do explore the area at the foot of the cliff - just take the left trail at the main entrance (no tickets required for this path).

Jusangjieolli Cliff 🌊, which is known as the Treasure island of Jeju Island
Jusangjieolli Cliff is a cape at the southern tip of Jeju Island. This small cape sticking out into the sea is made of volcanic rocks from millions of years ago. The volcanic rocks are unique hexagonal black stones. The rocks are about 30-40 meters high and the coast is about 1 kilometer long.
This place is a UNESCO Natural Wonder Site and is known as Korea's Treasure Island. They throw coins on the top of the cliff and pray 😇
Entrance fee for adults is 2000 won. Children pay 1,000 won and are open from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm. From the entrance to the top of the cliff, it is a short 5-minute walk. 20 minutes is enough to visit this place 😀

Seogwipo's Jellyfish Sea is super beautiful!
Route:
2.23 Arrival, evening visit to the market
2.24: Jeongbang Waterfall, Xu Fu Park, Columnar Jointing Zone, Yakcheonsa Temple
Accommodation: Hana Palace Hotel
1. There is an auntie at the front desk who speaks Chinese, so communication is barrier-free! The hotel also has a convenience store, which is very convenient! There are two bus stops at the door 🚏 one is Route 600 (Paradise Hotel Station) and the other is the market city bus station (just diagonally opposite).
2. Both the courtyard and the rooms are beautiful! Full of orange trees, there are also pavilions and cute fountains, and the hotel's string lights are really beautiful at night.
3. Our room is on the street side, and opening the window, you can see the sea, which is incredibly blissful.
*The local market is also very popular, around 5:30 the most famous roasted buns even require lining up for 1 hour, we decided to leave, but by 7:30 there was no need to queue! The grilled black pork and octopus pork both have a sweet seasoning, those who don't like sweet and salty flavors should be cautious! The orange mochi is quite delicious, with juicy oranges, sweet red beans, and soft and sticky mochi, the texture is very good! We bought the super popular sashimi and snack platter combo - I love sashimi!
*Jeongbang Waterfall is within walking distance, and the scenery along the way is also very beautiful. Today the rain stopped, and the Jellyfish Sea is really too beautiful!
*Xu Fu Park is a well-planned park with super beautiful scenery, envious of the aunties who come for a walk every day!
*The columnar jointing is also super beautiful! Jellyfish blue + wave white + seagulls flying freely + sharp black stone belts, very spectacular! The park that comes out is also cute, where you can stack stones for blessings, wishing for the common dreams of people around the world!
*Yakcheonsa Temple is a temple with an excellent location, the winding path through the orange grove is really calming, and there are also flowering cacti! The architecture is grand, and the inner hall is even more beautiful!
These attractions are connected by Route 600 bus (outer island loop)
Yakcheonsa Temple to the market is connected by Route 521 bus
Transportation: The entire journey is guided by the Naver map bus guide, which is very smooth. It can display the arrival time of buses and also has arrival tracking reminders.
Praying for a successful dolphin trip tomorrow!

Daepo Coast, Jeju Island: Lava columnar joint zone, suitable for spring travel
#Japanese and Korean Spring Good Places
Oura Coast Column Joint Zone is a unique coastline worth visiting. The special volcanic topography of Jeju Island is due to the formation of columnar joint zones. The lava erupted from Mount Hallasan (volcano) reaches a temperature of 900 degrees and flows into the front sea of the Jungmun area. The very hot lava suddenly cools, shrinks and solidifies from top to bottom, and then from bottom to top. Vertical pooling..... The faster it cools, the thinner the columns formed. Therefore, after the lava erupted, it poured into the sea and cooled, forming stacked columnar joint zones.
Because there is a low-lying part of the seabed nearby, a large amount of sea water will influx and form an instantaneous swell. When the waves are violent, they will form a spectacular sight of up to 20 meters high and gushing out. It is very admirable for the miraculous cliff formations of nature. scene. The weather is so beautiful!
In addition to checking in and taking photos, you can also go to the stone beach and learn from the locals to pile wishing stones. There are also sometimes hawkers selling downstream seafood.

Jusangjeollidae
#cherryblossom2024 The view is so different in every cost you'll visit in jeju, one of the most memorable is with no doubt this one.
The shoreline made of black hexagons shaped rocks and the horizon so far away you can feel the endless ocean, and with the great weather and good company😉
This is a must visit point on the island!Park entry fee was 2,000₩/pax
Parking fee was 2,000₩.
It is a park that has a decent size garden and well made stairs leading you down to a viewing area of the columns.
Other than that it was nothing much.

In Seogwipo, Jeju Island, it's a place that resembles Iceland
This should be a scenic spot that has an atmospheric feel whether it's sunny☀️ or cloudy.
The columnar jointing is formed when the lava that erupted from ⛰️ Mount Hallasan flowed into the sea in front of the Chinese region and cooled,
consisting of organ-shaped or irregularly shaped stone pillars of various sizes.
It feels very similar to the basalt columns of Iceland's black sand beaches, and it's very photogenic📷.
I stayed in Seogwipo City for two days, and for the seaside🌊, I chose this one place.
I first went to the 🍊 Orange Cafe for a coffee, then took a bus to Yakcheonsa Temple.
After touring, I took a taxi to the columnar jointing area🌄 to watch the sunset, and the timing was just right.
🎫Ticket: 2000 Korean Won
🕒Hours: 9:00-17:20
⚠️TIPS
They close the doors super punctually after work, even before the sunset is over.
But you can go out🚶♀️ and walk to the left for a while,
and you can still find an angle to finish watching the sunset.

Jeju Island | Coastal Columnar Joint Belt
Must-visit destination
🌟Highlight features: The entire scenic spot has a coastal plank road where you can enjoy the sea view while walking. At the end of the plank road, there is also a garden where you can take a break from the sun and cool off 🌿.
🌟Highlight features:
You can take a speedboat 🚤 and tour around the columnar basalt sea, enjoying the scenery from different angles.
Next to it is a pedestrian bridge with a strong sense of design. Under the bridge is a windy spot. In the peak of summer, you can dip your feet in the water and feel the sea breeze. It is definitely a great place to escape the heat.
🚉Transportation guide:
No need to take a taxi to get here, the island's public transportation is very convenient. Just check on Google Maps and you'll know. I had the experience of taking a Korean bus 🚌 (with air conditioning, seats, and even Wi-Fi on board)

🇰🇷🌴Jeju Island Xiguipo attraction | Columnar joint belt |
🇰🇷🌴Columnar jointing refers to the vertical joints that appear in basaltic lava, most of which are polygonal. Looking closely at the stone pillars, you will find that they are generally four or hexagonal.
It is the result of magma erupting from the crater, flowing into the coast of Xiguipu, and rapidly cooling when it meets seawater, causing a contraction effect.
The scenic spot is actually a park, not very big. After viewing the main landscape from the plank road, you can walk along the park's trails and observe the texture of the columnar jointing from different angles.
On the day of arrival, the weather was particularly sunny, and every shot was a beautiful scenery.

🇰🇷Jeju Island | A must-see beach in the southern part of the island
Different from the typical beach coastline.
The most distinctive feature of this beach is the columnar jointing.
I heard that the coast rocks were formed by the eruption of the Hanla Mountain volcano, layer by layer.
The Dapu columnar jointing zone is a group of volcanic rock columns formed by the cooling of volcanic lava flows in the pre-sea area of China. The entire jointing zone is distributed along a 2-kilometer coastline, with the Dapu columnar jointing zone reaching a height of 30-40 meters. Most of the columns are pentagonal or hexagonal in shape, and their size and scale are considered the best in Korea.
📍Location: The place is inside the Chinese Tourist Park, next to the International Conference Center.
