[2025 Daejeon ] Travel Guide for Daejeon Expo Civic Plaza (Updated May)

#Travel itinerary 👟 I arrived at Daejeon Station around 1pm and headed straight to the main branch of Seongsimdang! After waiting outside for about 10-20 minutes, I went in and quickly bought just enough to eatㅎㅎ (for lunch) 👟 Hideout Cafe recommended by a friend who lives in Daejeon! Wow, I really recommend the lemon cake here.... The mugwort latte also has vanilla ice cream in it, so it's super filling, rich and delicious! 👟 I took the subway to the outdoor footbath to help with digestion! Wow, this is a spacious footbath that you can use for free, and the facilities are clean and it's also great for recovering from fatigue from moving around all day.. 👟 I ordered 2 servings of kalguksu & a plate of boiled pork at a kalguksu restaurant near the footbath, but the amount of kalguksu was really x100 moreㅜ 👟 Lastly, I went to a place that had a musical fountain to see the night view, but since it was winter, I couldn't see the fountain, so I took pictures at the observatory above it, and it was surprisingly fun to play, so I recommend it:)

Daejeon Expo Citizens' Square Location: 169 Dunsan-daero, Seo-gu, Daejeon Sometimes festivals are held here, and you can see not only the media façade, but also the gorgeous and wonderful music fountain. It was nice to see Kumdoli after such a long time! It was beautiful during the day, but at night, when the lights came on, it became even more gorgeous and wonderful. The Hanbit Beer Festival was held to commemorate the 30th anniversary of Daejeon Expo Science Park. The night beer festival will be held until the end of this month. Every weekend, the singers and hosts who will be performing are R.ef, Indigo, Jeon-yul (Stella), Ryu Ji-kwang, Kim Kyung-jin, Kim Kyung-rok (V.O.S), Rich, Space A, Mina, and Jiho Jibangsi. They sell a variety of foods such as meat, steak, fried chicken, chicken skewers, and marinated squid. They also have rest stop food such as tteokbokki, ramen, so-tteok-so-tteok, and tang-hoo-ru. The line was really long, but it moved quickly, so I bought it while waiting and looking around. There are a lot of outdoor tables, so it's fun to enjoy the festival. As of June, it is the beer festival season, so I recommend having a picnic! You can see the musical fountain every hour, and you can watch different fountains according to the music. You can enter the Hanbit Tower Observatory by paying a separate admission fee. If you cross the Expo Bridge from Hanbit Square, you can walk straight to Hanbat Arboretum, which is full of things to see! Daejeon is not a boring city, but a city full of things to see!👏

Hehe You won't know how sweet it is to have a picnic and a lunch box! I highly recommend not only lunch boxes but also delicious food to-go☺️ I recommend a place that's perfect for viewing flowers and even a musical fountain💗

Daejeon Expo - Hanbat Arboretum Road, which holds a big festival and is a great walking course! It is a great place to visit with lovers, family, and friends, and when the weather is nice, you can see people spreading out mats on the lawn and eating delicious food.
