Beautiful Places You Could Take Pictures in Rotterdam
#familytrips2024 #vianasjourney #awesomepic
I love photography and visiting places so much. A holiday or simply a day out did not feel complete without it. So, if you share the same passion as mine, do consider these places to visit while you are in Rotterdam.
1) World Trade Center; The Sculpture immediately caught my eyes. Although I have seen plenty of sculpture before but this bronze sculpture of Gijsbert Karel Van Hogendorp is just special. He played a leading role in drawing up the New Constitution. Infront of this building, there’s a long shopping complex.
2) Stadhuis Rotterdam/ Townhall Rotterdam; This place have a beautiful garden but when I visited on the weekend, they were close. So if the garden that you are aiming for, come during weekdays. Despite that, the architecture itself quite interesting. Plenty of sculpture were attached outside of the building for you to capture.
3) Market Hall; Selling plenty of food, drinks & other items. The unique thing about this place is, the beautiful arts on it’s ceiling.
4) Cube Houses; Definitely not to miss in Rotterdam. Entrance fee is not required. It just a bit crowded that it’s a challenge to take picture without anyone in your frame.
I hope you enjoy Rotterdam as much as I do. Enjoy!
ps; all this location are just nearby each other.

Cute Little Cube House In The Center of Rotterdam
#familytrips2024 #vianasjourney #couplestrip
While in Rotterdam, be sure not to miss this cute yet unique little cube house. It’s located basically in the center of the city and super easy to get here especially if you stop at Rotterdam Blaak Station. There’s no fee required to view the whole area but if you wanna enter the museum you could pay as low as 3€ at the entry point (by card or cash) or you may also purchase ticket on their official site. It’s basically showing you a typical setup of cube house looks like and a little bit of the background. Love how creative ones mind can be :)

Rotterdam, rising from the ruins
Rotterdam was completely destroyed during the Second World War, and from the ruins one of the most unique cities in the Netherlands was born. Although it is only slightly smaller than Amsterdam, it has completely different atmosphere. The largest port in Europe is located in Rotterdam. You can get to Rotterdam from Amsterdam by intercity train for 16 euros. Leave the central station and walk in any direction you like. The beauties of the city will find you.
Best places to visit:
The Cube Houses, Erasmus Bridge, Rotterdam Central Station, Euromast Tower and Markthal

Rotterdam Centrum Market
📍 Hoogstraat 107-129, 3011 PL Rotterdam, Netherlands
This amazing covered market located in Rotterdam, Netherlands. The market was surrounded by residential apartments with a wonderful wall painting. 🖼️ I am sure you will be amazed!! Just 20 minutes walk from the Rotterdam central station.🥰
You can enjoy Herring “sashimi” which is really popular in Holland with a really strong fishy taste. 🐠Herring is an excellent source of lean protein with fatty acids and omega 3 oil.🐟🐟
📍 Overblaak 70, 3011 MH Rotterdam, Netherlands
When walking out from the Markt, on your right there are some cube houses which you can get a ticket and visit or even book a night staying in a cube house!! 🎲
#foodie If you have a sweet tooth you can get a finger licking good caramel waffle 🧇 from a food truck. It is very popular snack in Holland with a hot caramel sauce between two thin layer of freshly made waffles🍯🧇.

innovative Cube House in Rotterdam
This line of cubic shape houses called the Cubehouse was built nearly 40 years ago and located in the center of Rotterdam. Each apartment has three levels and is accessed by steep staircase. The interior is cleverly designed and includes all the usual rooms such as bedrooms , kitchen, bathroom, and even an attic to chill out . While all of the apartments are for residential purposes, one of them is opened to visitors as a museum with a small entrance fee of £3.
Definitely one of the must see buildings if you are visiting Rotterdam on an architectural journey. #urbanexplorer #thenetherlands #unique #architecture #rotterdam

Cube House
It is the best place to visit in Rotterdam. In a sunny day the best spot to take artistic photos as well.
Nice thing about it that it is in city center and only 10 minutes walk from stations.

The Cube houses in Rotterdam are one of the city most iconic attractions. Designed by Dutch architect Piet Blom, this residential development stands apart as its homes are literally cubes, tilted over by 45 degrees. Visitors can learn more about this apartments by exploring the Show Cube Museum, or spending a night in a cube. You can take metro, trams or train to station Blaak then walk around 100 metres.

When you think of Rotterdam, you will think of it has many weird buildings, the most famous of which must be the yellow cube house We often mistake it for a tourist attraction but in fact it is a real house really people live in it😂 one of the houses It becomes the left museum where you can buy tickets to visit I think it's quite worth going in to see
Another is located in Beurs residential building shape design is also very novel is located next to Genius Ramen through can enjoy the whole building😂
Next to the Cube House there is a building that is identical to the shape of the pencil. It is also a residential building. It is easy to remind people of the relationship between pencils and erasers
Finally, the Netherlands is most famous, of course, for the river in Coolhaven’s river view where you can clearly see the reflection of the sky is really beautiful and worth checking in

Rotterdam, Netherlands. This modern artistic city of Netherlands holds an amazing history. This city was completely destroyed during the world war 2 and completely built form a scratch. Hence, different than any other european cities I have visited, this city architectural designs are all modern style. Love the atmosphere and the arts here. #merrychristmas

Stayed in a super fun hotel
Rotterdam has many unique houses, and Rubik's Cube is one of the most famous buildings. Walking in the city is like walking in the whimsy of the architects.
It was almost razed to the ground during World War II, and most of the buildings are now rebuilt after the war.
This is very similar to Chicago. Destruction is another rebirth.

Rotterdam, Netherlands - A City Full of Artistic Architecture
Rotterdam is a city where modernity and tradition blend perfectly. Upon arrival, I was immediately captivated by its unique architectural style, especially the design of the Cube Houses and the Erasmus Bridge, which are futuristic and artistic. Rotterdam's port is one of the largest in the world, bringing vitality and prosperity to the city. I enjoyed fresh seafood at a seaside restaurant, which was delicious and unforgettable. Additionally, Rotterdam's cultural life is quite rich, with countless art galleries and museums, particularly the local modern art museum, which gave me a deeper understanding of contemporary art. Walking through the commercial district in the city center, I was immersed in the shopping atmosphere, with everything from luxury brands to local specialties. This trip to Rotterdam made me feel the city's modernity and vibrancy, full of the joy of exploration.
The World Slowly Wanders|The Mad City of Rotterdam Plays with Architecture
A rare member of modern architecture in Europe~🤩
I call it the Mad City!! So ahead of its time.
It is also the 'Gateway to Europe'. This time I finally reserved time to check it out.
I dare say architecture enthusiasts will definitely love Rotterdam.
The whole city feels very modern and magical.
This port city has gone crazy with architectural design!!!
When you come to Amsterdam, I suggest you leave a day to visit here✅
🚄Transportation: Both Amsterdam and Rotterdam have several train stations. Use Google Maps to navigate to your destination and follow the route. The journey takes about 1 hour. Buy train tickets from NS and bus tickets from FlixBus.
☑️Five main check-in points in Rotterdam
🔹Depot Boijmans Van Beuningen
🔹Pencil Tower
🔹Cube Houses
🔹Markthal
🔹Witte de Withstraat
I personally think the St. Lawrence Church is average. The ticket is 4€, you can skip it.
If you are short on time, spend half a day each in Rotterdam and The Hague. The journey between the two is 30 minutes.
Or, like me, you can slowly wander around Rotterdam for a day, which is also very enjoyable.
FiveFiveFive Cafe is a random pick from Google, a gathering place for cyclists.
Pho Hanoi is a cost-effective Vietnamese restaurant with decent taste.
Tips: I suggest getting off at Blaak station by train. The main check-in points are right outside.

Our family visit to the Cube Houses in Rotterdam, Netherlands, was a fascinating architectural journey. Stepping into these innovative homes, we were immediately struck by their unconventional design and futuristic vibe. The kids were intrigued by the tilted angles and unique interiors, feeling like they had stepped into a real-life puzzle. Exploring the narrow passageways and peeking out from the windows provided a sense of adventure and discovery. It was an immersive experience that sparked our curiosity about modern architecture and urban living.
As for our next family travel destination, I dream of exploring the ancient wonders of Egypt. We'll wander through the majestic pyramids of Giza, cruise along the tranquil waters of the Nile River, and marvel at the intricate hieroglyphics in ancient temples. It promises to be a journey through history and mythology, filled with awe-inspiring monuments and cultural encounters that will leave a lasting impression on all of us.

The mysterious cube houses of Rotterdam
These mysterious cube houses are located in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. You'll feel as if you've wandered into an optical illusion, wondering what on earth is going on. It seems that people can live inside.
There aren't many tourist attractions in the city of Rotterdam, but there are many other pop and unique buildings, so it's a good idea to wander around looking for unique buildings. There is a fairly large market hall right next to the cube houses. I recommend having lunch there.

Rotterdam is a city with many modern buildings, the tallest building in the Netherlands, the suspension bridge Erasmus Bridge, and the tallest office building in Europe. However, our first stop in Rotterdam chose the square cube house in the city. This is not a single, but a unique complex of 51 cube houses. This was built in 1984 by the architect Piet Blom. Although there are 51 houses, only 38 are private residences, others are some shops. Nowadays, with more and more people visiting, it has become a photo spot for Rotterdam's net red card.
block three-dimensional cabin, like a Rubik's cube with a diagonally placed. The appearance can be free to visit, but to enter the room is to buy tickets. Before I went in, I always felt that the space inside was probably small and a bit crowded, but after I went in, I found that there was still three layers in a small box, and the beds and tables inside did not make people feel tilted.
If you want to experience the cube house in depth, the most convenient way is to stay for one night. There is an international youth hostel here, you can stay for about 20 euros a night, it must be a special experience.
Enter the room to visit the ticket: one person 3 euros
Jojos trip.
Built in 1984, the cube house is like a huge cube.

The three-dimensional box house in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.
The unique architectural design has attracted countless people to come to the card. The whole box house is in a state of 45 degree tilt. The people living in it live freely. If you want to experience it, you can also enter the youth tour and feel it.
In fact, it is a normal life state, but the angle of the outside is incredible.
