Highlights 1. 🛎️Service: The receptionist, Mr. Zhang, provided warm and efficient service. While swiftly checking me in, he also extended warm wishes for Women's Day. I casually inquired about a corner room and was upgraded to a suite! The service was outstanding. 2. 🏘️Room Type/Layout: The hotel has separate buildings for standard and executive rooms. While not exceptionally spacious, the open-plan layout of the suite is unique and appealing. The bathroom is large, and the overall layout is comfortable and well-designed. 3. 🛌Amenities/Facilities: The rooms reflect the classic Courtyard style and are spacious. The hardware is excellent, with even basic rooms equipped with JBL Horizon speakers. A small coffee table sits beside the sofa, and a variety of bedding options are available. The closet is fully stocked with bathrobes, umbrellas, and an iron. The thick curtains provide excellent light blocking. While the bathroom lacks a bathtub, the walk-in shower's rainfall showerhead is powerful. A full set of Nivea toiletries is provided. Although there's no electric toilet or high-end hairdryer, basic needs are met. 4. 🍱Dining: The lounge on the 9th floor of the executive building offers a generous and diverse happy hour spread, including a small wine cabinet. Breakfast, served on the 2nd floor of the standard building, offers a wide selection and ample seating, eliminating the need to queue. The two buildings are connected through the -1 floor, so you can walk freely even on rainy days. Hotel entrance The hotel entrance is not very conspicuous. The hotel's location is relatively quiet amidst the hustle and bustle, about 5 kilometers from Zhongshan Park, which is quite convenient. 🚉Transportation Guide: There is no subway at the hotel entrance, the nearest subway station is Beixinjing Station on Line 2, and it takes about a little over a kilometer to walk after crossing a bridge. If you are going to Zhongshan Park and Yuyuan Road area, taking a taxi actually costs just a little over ten yuan. 🌟Highlights: The hotel's external environment is quite good, with a large lawn, making it very comfortable to walk around. The overall external architectural style is also European-style. 🛏Room Facilities: The room facilities are relatively complete for a Courtyard. This time, we were upgraded to a higher floor but did not experience the executive room. The room has two 1.35-meter large beds, which is very nice. Additionally, the amenities are fairly complete, but there is no bucket for used towels in the bathroom, which makes it a bit messy after use. 🏨Hotel Facilities: We had breakfast and dinner at the hotel. The restaurant's offerings are okay; the noodles are made by a robot, you just need to tap on the electronic screen. The gym is on the basement floor, and the facilities are quite complete, with mineral water available for self-service. Following Yunling East Road eastward, there are Changfeng Joy City and the newly developed Marriott. The hotel is owned by Suning, located within the two buildings of Suning Plaza. The location is a bit inconvenient because to get to the south bank of Suzhou River, Danba Road is not accessible, and one has to take a detour around the central ring overpass or take Weining Road. Suitable for those on business trips near Putuo or Kintetsu Plaza. - ●Rooms The hotel is divided into buildings A and B, with check-in, the lounge, and breakfast on the north side in Building A. The executive rooms and gym are on the south side in Building B. The two buildings are connected by an underground corridor. Check-in was quite late, and I was informed upon arrival that sue.liu had already helped upgrade to the executive suite on the top floor of Building B. The executive suite at Courtyard by Marriott is more like an 'apartment' layout. Next to the living room at the entrance is a guest bathroom, further inside is the bedroom and master bathroom. A 'small study' is also partitioned off in the middle. The bathroom and dressing room are also quite spacious, and since it's on the top floor, the windows are sloped, but it's not a problem to live in. Looking out the window, you can see the central ring overpass in the distance (at a certain distance), with no obstructions and a good view. - ●Service First, I'd like to express my thanks. It's by appointment only during special periods (the first time I've encountered this hhh), if you want to go to the fitness center, you need to make an appointment and then swipe your card to open the door according to the scheduled time, you can't enter directly with your room card, and it's not open. The restaurant is in Building A, and the breakfast is basically in line with Courtyard's style and quite rich. In general, I have never been disappointed with the breakfast at any Marriott hotel, including Fairfield. - Overall, if you are on a business trip in the Changfeng area, Courtyard by Marriott and the newly developed JW Marriott offer complementary differences, covering choices for two budget ranges.
