Attractions around Barcelona
There are actually many great attractions around Barcelona. In addition to visiting Gaudi's buildings, we also visited other attractions, such as the Arc de Triomphe, Barcelona Cathedral, Mozuzi Olympic Football Stadium, Columbus Monument, Santa Caterina Market, and Palau de la Música Catalana.
Here are some places I haven’t been to but are worth recommending:
1. Tibidabo
This is a mountain near the city of Barcelona. There is a super old amusement park and a super beautiful church (Sacred Heart Church) on the top of the mountain. From the top of the mountain you can overlook the entire Barcelona scenery, the view is super wide! Although the amusement park is not big, it has a retro feel. The Ferris wheel and carousel are perfect for taking photos. It feels like returning to childhood!
2. Montjuïc
This mountain is right next to the city and there are many attractions worth seeing! For example, you can take a cable car up to Montjuic Castle, and the scenery is amazing! There is also the Magic Fountain, and the light show at night is super dreamy and definitely not to be missed! In addition, the Olympic Stadium and the National Art Museum of Catalonia on the mountain are also worth seeing and suitable for people who like history and culture.
3. Barcelona Zoo
If you like animals, this is definitely the place to go! There are many kinds of animals in the zoo, such as lions, giraffes, penguins, etc., and the environment is designed to be close to nature, which makes it very comfortable to visit. Especially suitable for taking children to play together!
4. Port Vell
This is a very lively area in the city. There are many restaurants and shops by the port, and there is also a huge aquarium (L'Aquàrium) with a lot of marine life, such as sharks, tropical fish, etc. It is super fun to visit! You can also take a walk along the harbor and look at the yachts and sailboats, which is a very relaxing experience.
5. Passeig de Gràcia
This street is a shopping paradise in Barcelona, with brand-name stores and boutiques on both sides, but the most attractive are Gaudi's two buildings - Casa Mila and Casa Batlló. Even if you don't go in to visit, just looking at the appearance is amazing!
6. Barceloneta Beach
If you want to relax, this is a great place! The beach is right next to the city, with soft sand and clear water. You can sunbathe, swim, or find a seaside restaurant to eat seafood there. It's a super enjoyment!
These attractions are all in or near the city of Barcelona, with convenient transportation, making it suitable for arranging a relaxing itinerary at any time. Each place has its own unique charm, which is enough to make you enjoy the journey
