Columbia Icefield, Canada
The Columbia Icefield is the third largest ice field in the world, an ice field located in the Canadian Rockies, straddling the Continental Divide of North America. Parts of the ice field are located in the northwest corner of Banff National Park and the southern end of Jasper National Park. The Athabasca Glacier can be seen from the Icefields Parkway. Since 1844, the Athabasca Glacier has been significantly melting. In summer, tourists can take a bus to the glacier to see the scenery. This snowmobile adventure takes about 90 minutes. Visitors must first take a bus from the service center to the lower edge of the glacier, and then transfer to a specially designed icefield snowmobile. This type of vehicle is specifically designed to travel on glacial terrain. All you know is that the vehicle is extremely tall and is equipped with 6 large tires, each of which is about 1.5 meters high, almost equal to the height of an adult.
When the car drove onto the glacier, the feeling was amazing and surprising. The scenery on the glacier was really magnificent. Tourists have 30 minutes of free time to walk around within the range and enjoy the vast beauty of the glacier. I really feel the wonderful feeling of stepping on the glacier in person, and I am grateful for the gift given to us by nature! #familytravel
