Macau's futuristic hotel: Morpheus
I have been to Macau countless times and finally settled in Morpheus, which I have longed for. I don’t come here often on weekdays, probably once every two years. Every time I come, I feel like the city has become different, and this time it’s like walking into a dream.
Morpheus was designed by the goddess of architecture Zaha Hadid, and the lobby alone was enough for me to stand and admire for half a day. The name of the hotel comes from Morpheus, the god of dreams in Greek mythology, which is really super appropriate - every time you walk through the atrium that seems to travel through time and space, it is like a dreamwalk, so beautiful that it is unreal.
I don’t catch up with new hotels much on weekdays, but Morpheus is too appealing from the outside in. Check-in on weekdays, waiting time for the room is relatively long, almost four o'clock to check in, but the room staff is super courteous, and specially used essential oils to help me deal with a little smell in the room, full attitude.
The room is very large, at least five hundred feet, and once you open the door you feel spacious, modern and futuristic in design. The most surprising is that the bedside table opens there are three different types of charging plugs, no need to bring an adapter at all, which is a super plus. And the hotel also uses recycled glass bottles for water, which is quite eco-friendly.
This time I didn't go far for two nights, so I finished eating inside City of Casino. It's super convenient. **Kim Man Yuen ** is my surprise this time, doing fusion done well, especially the cane pepper grilled French oysters, Chinese and Western mix quite interesting, I like;
The only slight drawback is the breakfast, the price is not included, to be counted separately (I ordered basic meal + juice, including service charge almost HK $ 300), not many styles, mainly a few eggs, compared to the opposite Conrad really slightly inferior. Never mind though, I came for the hotel itself.
Room rates start at about HK$2200, which is actually quite good value for money, especially for those who like design and architectural aesthetics. The whole building is like a futuristic installation art, with a sense of technology and beauty, and I still remember the moment I walked in with my luggage, which was really a small touch.
Address: Morpheus Hotel, New Casino, Cotai Link Road, Macau
Next time I come to Macau, maybe I will choose to go back here again, because... reality is too boring, always let yourself live back in the dream.
