I went to the Gunma Prefectural Tatebayashi Museum of Art. This is the "Sculptor's Studio" in the annex. It houses what was left of the artist François Pompon's studio. You can't enter this annex without buying a ticket, but if you just want to see the exterior and stroll through the museum garden, you don't need to buy a ticket. The building is modeled after a farmhouse in Burgundy, where Pompon was born. Access: I stopped by on the way from Tobu Dobutsu Koen Station to Tatebayashi Station. Tourist spot: Morinji Temple in Tatebayashi City, Gunma Prefecture I stopped by Morinji Temple, which is famous for its Bunpuku Chagama. There were lots of tanuki, but I imagined them to be a little cuter. There were not many people, but there were. There was also a souvenir shop in front of the temple.

I went to the Cherry Blossom and Carp Streamer Festival at Tsuruoda River 🎏 It's about a 15-minute walk from Tatebayashi Station in Gunma Prefecture, and as you get closer to the river, you can see the cherry blossoms and carp streamers, which makes you excited 😆👏 The area where the carp streamers are displayed isn't that long, so it's just the right distance for a walk and it feels great 🌿 Even on weekdays, there were a few stalls lined up, and I enjoyed the cherry blossoms while eating cute chocolate bananas 🌸 Even though it was sunny, there was a haze and you couldn't see much of the blue sky, but it was a very beautiful sight 🤍 #tourism #cherry blossoms #carp streamers

#thingstodo Beautiful park which left me wonderful memories! There’s sakura trees everywhere. Huge park with a playground, huge water fountain and various sakura trees with lots of street food vendors. Bring a picnic blanket and sit under the trees. They’re all low trees so its so nice. The washroom is clean but there’s no toilet papers or soap so bring some if you visit.

Tatebayashi City, Gunma Prefecture. Tatebayashi Ekimae Shoten is located right after getting off the east exit of Tatebayashi Station on the Tobu Isesaki Line. I was intrigued by the sign that said "Solo diners welcome" and decided to go in. The shop has counter and table seats, and the bright atmosphere makes it very comfortable even for solo diners. This time, I tried the hidden soul food of Tatebayashi, boiled tofu and raw wagyu liver, recommended by the staff. The boiled tofu was well flavored and went well with alcohol. The raw wagyu liver had no odor and was topped with salt, ginger and sesame oil, and was very delicious. To finish off the meal, I also had a half-sized ramen with kombu water tsukemen and pickled vegetables prepared in-house. The ramen was very flavorful and perfect for a final dish. I also really liked the taste of the pickled vegetables. This time I went alone for a drink, but they also have meals and cafe menus. There were many interesting menu items such as Neapolitan, keema curry, cream soda, and pudding. I visited the restaurant after 4pm on a weekday, but it wasn't crowded and I was able to leisurely enjoy delicious drinks and food.
