The Northern Sichuan Daoshu, also known as the Daotai Yamen, was an agency of the provincial government in the Ming and Qing dynasties. During the reign of Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty, it became a high-level government agency for managing prefectures, states, and counties. The existing ruins and remains of the Langzhong Daotai Yamen were first built in the eighth year of the Yongzheng reign of the Qing Dynasty (1730), and the only building is the ceremonial gate. The main gate, the stone archway, the lobby, the second hall, and the third hall all reproduce the scenes of the Qing Dynasty through real objects and sculptures. The east and west wing rooms of each hall are decorated with cultural connotations according to their original functions. There are more than 20 exhibition rooms and more than 1,000 exhibits of various types. There are also ancient costume live performances such as "The Daotai Trial", which are rare in the country. After the restoration and completion, the Daotai Yamen will be one of the two existing Daotai Yamen in the country, and it has an earlier origin than the Harbin Daoya, which was built during the Guangxu period to manage customs and defense, and has greater local management authority. It will add tourist attractions that showcase the high-level "official morality culture" of the Qing Dynasty to the ancient city of Langzhong, and reproduce the important status of ancient Langzhong as the administrative center of northeastern Sichuan.
