Exploring the Majestic Beauty of the Millennium-Old Temple and the Water Guanyin~
Suzhou Chongyuan Temple, located in the picturesque Yangcheng Lake Peninsula, features a 33-meter-high statue of Guanyin in the Water Guanyin Courtyard, showcasing the unique charm of Chongyuan Temple's Lotus Buddha Kingdom and Guanyin Dojo.
The temple's architecture includes the Mountain Gate, Heavenly King Hall, Bell and Drum Tower, and the Grand Hall of the Great Hero. The Grand Hall of the Great Hero covers an area of 2100 square meters, making it the largest single building among domestic temples. On Guanyin Island in front of the temple, there is the largest indoor Guanyin statue in China, standing at 33 meters high.
From a distance on Yangcheng Lake, Chongyuan Temple appears majestic with its grand Grand Hall of the Great Hero, the imposing and magnificent Guanyin Pavilion with its flying eaves and upturned corners, and the temple's layered main buildings. The temple also features the grand Guanyin statue, bronze-skin leather drum, Guanyin wall on the island, and a bronze bell that can produce the first sound of the Tang Dynasty's first law, all of which recreate the splendor of Chongyuan Temple in its heyday.

Chongyuan Temple In Suzhou china 🇨🇳
#chinatrip
Hey there! Let me tell you about this hidden gem - Chongyuan Temple! It's like a secret check-in spot that 99% of people don't know about.
Chongyuan Temple in Suzhou is known as the most beautiful water temple. Imagine the summer scene with lotus flowers blooming all around the temple, creating a picturesque view. 8800
From above, the temple looks like a lotus flower peacefully resting in a pond. It's the perfect place to relax, light incense for Buddha, enjoy a bowl of plain noodles, and even feed the koi pigeons.
There's so much to explore here! The temple's layout is exquisite, making it a paradise for photography enthusiasts. Most visitors miss out on these hidden spots, like capturing the "Fu Kong" patterns and characters at the entrance of Fuka Kuang County.
Watching pigeons circle under the Great Bear Hall steps and the Jiaolou board of the Shakya Mani Hall is truly spectacular. # If you want to catch the sunset, head to Daxiang Square in the northwest direction for the best view.

Chongyuan Temple: The blooming lotus on Yangcheng Lake🪷
Chongyuan Temple is located at No. 333 Yangcheng Ring Road, Suzhou. It was originally named Chongxuan Temple and was built in the second year of the Tianjian period of Emperor Wu of Liang (503 AD). The temple is contemporaneous with Hanshan Temple, Lingyan Temple, and Baosheng Temple, with a history of more than 1,500 years.
Chongyuan Temple consists of the Water Guanyin Pavilion, the Mahavira Hall, and the Guanyin statues. Visiting Chongyuan Temple on a summer morning, you can:
1. Burn incense and pray. Step into the incense-filled temple, burn incense and pray, and immerse your soul;
2. Admire the lotus and take photos. In midsummer, the lotus blooms, and the temple in the center of the lotus pond is surrounded by green leaves and red flowers. The Water Guanyin Pavilion echoes the main temple, and the 33-meter-high Guanyin statue inside the pavilion is the tallest indoor Guanyin statue in China, highlighting the solemn appearance of the lotus Buddha kingdom.
3. Taste vegetarian food. The vegetarian food at Chongyuan Temple is famous far and wide. The simple Fushou noodles are served with abundant side dishes, light and refreshing, leaving an unforgettable taste;
4. Relax and enjoy. In the center of the lotus pond, there is a sunken Fuka Cafe. A wooden walkway extends into the lotus cluster, where you can order a cup of coffee☕️, read a book, and enjoy the tranquil lotus scenery, an unparalleled pleasure;
5. Notes: The entrance fee for Chongyuan Temple is 20 yuan, and it is open all year round. If you want to take photos of the lotus, it is recommended to arrive early. The blooming lotus and dew-covered leaves are very beautiful! The vegetarian restaurant in the temple opens at 9:30, so plan your time accordingly.
In the scorching summer, why not come to Chongyuan Temple and let your soul have a purification journey!

I thought Hanshan Temple was already beautiful enough until I visited it
📍Chongyuan Temple
📲I was amazed by the aerial photos I saw online and was convinced to visit. The vast lotus fields surrounding the serene Buddhist temple help to calm the mind and wash away the hustle of daily life. It's about an hour and a half drive from Pudong, with parking available at the entrance, though slightly expensive at 3 yuan per half hour. If you plan to have a vegetarian meal or coffee inside, parking fees can quickly add up to 33 yuan.
The vegetarian food is highly recommended, with generous portions and decent taste. I especially recommend the Zen Coffee - order a drink, sit by the lotus pond with the air conditioning, and you can really smell the fragrance of the lotus leaves. The shop's floral tea, coffee, and milk tea are all quite good (the pastries are average), but the owner is particularly sincere, offering a free item if the mold for a dessert is broken.
Luzhi Ancient Town
🤷🏻♂️I don't know why people online say you need to buy a ticket, you absolutely don't need one just to casually stroll through the streets! You only need to buy tickets to enter small attractions (like certain residences) inside, and these attractions close at 5 pm. The combined ticket is 45 yuan each. We, who didn't do much research, bought tickets at 4:30 pm and only had 5 minutes to see one residence, which wasn't particularly impressive - a complete waste.
📍Huayi Brothers Movie World
🗽The five themed areas offer a rich variety of attractions and performances. The most impressive is the towering statue of Empress Wu Zetian in the Empire of Sky area, which includes a 'Heaven' to recreate the grandeur of the divine capital, truly stunning.
🎫Ticket price: 228 yuan (about 205 yuan if purchased online)
📍Bicester Village Suzhou
🛍️I stumbled upon it and decided to go on a whim. It's about a half-hour drive from Suzhou, and you can even see the 'big pants' building on the way. The parking lot is large and free. The European-style architecture makes for incredibly beautiful photos. There are many luxury and niche brands, many of which offer discounts. Upon arrival, you can get a map and enjoy shopping and taking photos along a small circular route. The visit doesn't take too long, and there are also bubble tea shops and plenty of toilets, so no worries about finding one!

Chongyuan Temple
Chongyuan Temple, one of the 480 temples of the Southern Dynasties: It was founded in 503 during the Southern Dynasties' Liang period, originally named Chongxuan Temple. It was renamed to Chengtian Temple at the beginning of the Northern Song Dynasty, and then to Nengren Temple towards the end of the Northern Song Dynasty. During the Yuan Dynasty, it was known as Chengtian Nengren Temple. In 1356, Zhang Shicheng captured Suzhou and converted the temple into a palace, which was restored to a temple during the Ming Dynasty. In the Qing Dynasty, to avoid the taboo of Emperor Xuanye's name, it was renamed to Chongyuan Temple. The temple was damaged during the Cultural Revolution, and was rebuilt on the original site in 2003, with few ancient relics remaining.

Checking in at Chongyuan Temple
Away from the hustle and bustle of the world, the tranquility of Chongyuan Temple has a unique charm. Stepping into it, it's like stepping into another world, which is intoxicating. Unlike the peace and tranquility of other temples, the environment around Chongyuan Temple is very noisy, there are many monks and believers in the temple, the incense is very strong, and there are many other attractions nearby such as Tianpingshan, Lingyanshan, etc., attracting a large number of tourists to visit.

Suzhou Travel|Best Photo Spot for Chongyuan Temple Buddha (with guide)
|Best Photo Spot for Chongyuan Temple Buddha (with guide). How come such a good temple has so few people? The New Year is coming, go to Chongyuan Temple on Yangcheng Lake Peninsula to pray for blessings. I came once in summer, and it feels different in winter.
Here are four things I did at Chongyuan Temple!
✅Must Experience 1: Eat Fortune Longevity Noodles
Vegetarian noodle serving time: 9:00-14:00
Price: 15 yuan/bowl
The vegetarian noodles are very full, and the toppings include dried tofu, mushrooms, and black fungus. Compared to other temples in Suzhou, there is not much queue here. I went at lunchtime and there were plenty of seats! The most important thing is that the taste is not bad! If you want to eat side dishes, you can order separately.
✅Must Experience 2: Feed Pigeons
After leaving the place where you eat vegetarian meals, you will see many pigeons, right in front of the Daxiong Hall. Feeding pigeons and fish food is 5 yuan/bag, self-purchase. The pigeons here are fed by many people every day, and they are chubby
✅Must Experience 3: Pray and Worship Guanyin
You can buy incense and fireworks as soon as you enter the door, and the price is not expensive. The biggest feature of Chongyuan Temple is the 33-meter-high indoor Guanyin statue, Lotus Buddha Country, Guanyin Dojo, you can only feel the shock when you see it yourself. In addition, the Dabao Tower of Chongyuan Temple has been under repair and should be open soon. I am looking forward to it!!
✅Must Experience 4: Drink Fortune Coffee
The coffee shop was not open when I went last time, and this time I specifically went to drink coffee. You can write the word 'fortune', and there are good photo spots in the coffee shop!

Aerial view of the natural scenery of Yangcheng Lake Peninsula
It's the best season to eat Yangcheng Lake hairy crabs again. The last time I went was in mid-September, before the official start of the fishing season, and I just tasted some drunken crabs. I plan to go again soon...

Chongyuan Temple in Suzhou
I went to Yangcheng Lake with friends to eat crabs, and in the afternoon we wanted to find a place to have tea and stroll around. Chongyuan Temple was nearby, so we went there. It was unexpectedly beautiful, and the coffee inside was very exquisite. It is divided into two parts, one part is the temple, and the other part is on the opposite bank, the bridge in the middle is very picturesque. There are coffee shops on both sides of the bridge, sitting outside watching the sunset, birds flying by. The temple has many black birds, and white pigeons are very picturesque.
Crossing the bridge, it's like a small island surrounded by a lake. The sunset is even more spectacular. There are many little ducks on the water. Looking back, I saw the maple leaves around the tower, under the afterglow of the sunset, unexpectedly red. We were very surprised, even more gorgeous than the maple leaves we went to Tianping Mountain the next day.
