Having been to Bangkok 5 times, I recommend an off-the-beaten-path one-day itinerary that can be reached by public transportation.
Tour guide: Chinatown, Erawan Shrine, icon Siam, Khao San Road, Wat Hua Lamphong, Talin Chan Floating Market. All attractions are accessible by subway and bus.
Transportation guide: BTS MRT SRT. Take the BTS to the Siam shopping district, Chit Lom to the Erawan Shrine shopping district. Silom to the Chinatown shopping district.
Accommodation recommendations
Stayed near Payathai station in the city, which is only a 20-minute walk to Siam Square and very convenient.
Hotel TRANZ 451 yuan/night
Khao San Road is a backpacker's paradise in Bangkok, with many hostels and guesthouses. Double rooms start at 100 yuan.
Shopping recommendations
SIAM
Siam Square, it took 20 minutes to walk to the square, which has a duty-free mall with a rich selection of brands. After shopping, you need to go to the airport for a tax refund. However, the products here are more diverse compared to the King Power Duty Free Shop, and the newly opened icon Siam also has an indoor floating market.
Ferris Wheel Market, which is laid out with dining areas, snack streets, shopping streets, and pier bars. It is recommended to go in the evening to enjoy the sunset over the Mekong River.
Khao San Road food street, where the bars and night markets are very lively at night.
Food recommendations: Thai snacks, seafood barbecue, tropical fruits - hundreds of varieties to choose from
Communication: You can buy Thai SIM cards for 3 days, 7 days, 30 days, or longer at 711, starting at 10 yuan.

My Most Favourite Local Street Food in Bangkok
#familytrips2024 #awesomepic #deliciousfood
Thailand is well known for their delicious and unique food. While visiting recently, I already set a goal in mind to experience what the local would usually have and here are some that I really like to have again;
1) Fresh Juices; Thailand have the freshes juices I actually ever tried. The one that I had (sugarcane and mango) does not even need any extra flavour, mixture or sugar to make it taste better.
2) Mango Sticky Rice; I would never missed mango sticky rice while in Thailand. This time I tried the one with colourful rice. It’s actually taste the same (the colourful/ the white colour sticky rice) but the coconut milk tasted creamier and just enough sweetness on it that it pair well with the sticky rice and mango.
3) Grilled Seafood skewers; Thailand also a heaven for seafood. Mine was grilled above charcoal and was served with thai chili sauce (It’s sour, spicy and sweet sauce). My mouth watering when thinking of it again.
4) Curry Egg Noodle with Prawn; The flavour from the big prawn really taste well with the curry broth. It’s a bit spicy and I love that.
5) Silver Needle Noodle with pork; Super love the intestine and pork blood on my noodle. Love the freshing clear broth mixed with fats from the pork. Definitely recommend this!

Yaowarat in Bangkok
Hello Bangkok and it is a must to visit Yaowarat especially during the evening when all the food stores are open. You can enjoy the street food and have new experiences of dining by the roadside. There are many popular food stalls here and some of them have long queues. It is better you bring cash here for a nicer experience, credit cards are not widely accepted here but you can always use the local method which is to scan code to make payment. Come over here and in all the local vibes.

Yaowarat Night Market
This place only starts bustling from 7pm onwards where one section of Yaowarat Road is closed for the street food stalls. Many food delights here such as the Thai style kway chap, dumplings, bird nest dessert and the toasted buns and many more. The toasted buns are one of the hot sellers with many different types of fillings available. Also famous are the few shops selling pork products.

Chinatown yaowarat bangkok
Visiting chinatown yaowarat when you are in bangkok is a must. First off you should come here earlier to avoid long queues for dinner. There is also likely to be a bad traffic jam if you are here too late. Visit the famous tze Char stores for a nice dinner and it is priced quite affordably even if you order large amount of seafood. after dinner you can walk along the streets to take a look at what they sell. There are also lots of street food stores so this could be your supper. Highly recommended to visit. It’s quite crowded though so do be careful of your personal belongings. Other than that, do soak in this fun atmosphere.

Chinatown In Bangkok
It's a really bustling place full of life, especially the nighttime. I went there quite early around 4PM and there was nothing much happen, just morning stores were trying to close for the day, and the evening food vendors start to begin their preparation for the night. I guess if you love to experience the whole process from the beginning you can go around that time but if you feel like it would be tiring to just walk from place to place, you just wanted to eat the street food than you should go around 7pm. That is when the real fun begin.

The well-known Grilled Squid 🦑 Yaowarat Bkk
#bangkoktrip
We have been eyeing on this Grilled Squid vendor at Yaowarat Bangkok but always didn’t had the chance to try it due to the extremely long waiting time (approximately 1-3 hours).
We finally manage to eat it this time round with only 5 minutes waiting time as we were early.
The grilled squid was awesome, tender and very fresh. The chilli sauce was spicy enough too!
Rating: 10/10, recommended to give it a try if there is not much queue!
This particular grilled squid is located in Yaowarat, Chinatown near to the famous toasted bun store!

Bangkok’s Chinatown
Yaowarat is Bangkok’s Chinatown and basically where you go to buy whatever you can think of and probably don’t need. There were seemingly endless lanes of stalls selling souvenirs and trinkets, textile fabrics, wigs, fresh fruit and street snacks, and there were some street musicians performing in the square. We didn’t buy anything, but it was interesting to walk through. This is definitely the place to practice your haggling skills.

SCR, the latest newly opened coffee shop on the trendy street ☕️.
Where is good to go during this heat? Come visit Songwat Coffee Roaster, the newest coffee shop on Songwad Road, located in the old town area next to Yaowarat. It's another new spot that you must check-in, designed and decorated in a loft style with silver, gray, and white tones that add a touch of coolness. Although it has only been open for one day, it is well managed. The coffee doesn't take long to arrive, and both the Songwat Latte and Shakerato are good. Complimentary egg pastries are also provided to enjoy with your coffee.

Chinatown in Bangkok
If you love street art, then you definitely need to visit Chinatown in Bangkok. This is a place that is completely different from other areas of the capital of Thailand. Even 40 years ago, it was quite dangerous to walk along these streets, but now it is a surprisingly interesting place that you definitely need to visit in Bangkok.
Tips for visiting: be sure to look into every narrow street, because it is in the most unexpected places that you can find the most interesting details of the area.
Have a nice walk and beautiful photos, friends!

China Town in Bangkok
#bangkok
China Town in Bangkok is one of the largest Chinatowns in the world. This market area is one of the best and fascinating places for shopping offering you imported toys, traditional items and rare antiques. It offers wide range of activities and attractions. It is most famous for its delectable eateries and street food, along with its historic neighborhoods. The best way to explore Chinatown is to simply walk down its narrow alleys and soak up the atmosphere. I would suggest that you come in the morning because it’s not that crowded yet.

ChinaTown Bangkok

Bangkok's Chinatown, known locally as Yaowarat, is one of the oldest and most vibrant neighborhoods in the city. Its origins date back to the late 18th century when Chinese traders began to settle in the area.
One of the most fascinating stories about Bangkok's Chinatown concerns the origin of its name. Legend has it that during the early days of the neighborhood's development, a group of Chinese traders arrived in Bangkok and settled in the area that would later become known as Chinatown.
One day, a local Thai official asked one of the Chinese traders where he was from. The trader responded in Chinese, saying "I am from the land of the dragons." The Thai official, not understanding Chinese, misheard the word for "dragon" and thought the trader had said "Chinatown."
From that day on, the area became known as Chinatown, and the name stuck. Whether this legend is true or not, it certainly adds to the neighborhood's colorful history.
Over the years, Chinatown has become famous for its bustling markets, street food stalls, and traditional Chinese shops. Visitors can explore the area's narrow alleys and side streets, browsing through a variety of shops selling everything from Chinese herbs and medicines to jewelry and traditional clothing.
One of the most popular attractions in Chinatown is the street food. The neighborhood is known for its delicious Chinese and Thai cuisine, and visitors can sample a variety of dishes from street vendors and small restaurants. Some of the must-try dishes include dim sum, noodle soups, and roast duck.
Chinatown also has several temples worth visiting. One of the most famous is Wat Mangkon Kamalawat, a Chinese Buddhist temple that dates back to the mid-19th century. The temple is known for its ornate architecture and colorful decorations.
Today, Bangkok's Chinatown remains a vibrant and exciting neighborhood that attracts visitors from all over the world. Its rich history, delicious food, and unique culture make it a must-visit destination for anyone traveling to Bangkok.

This famous cafe in Chinatown Bangkok is really amazing. The moment I opened the door, my was fall in love with this place. This century-old building has actually been transformed into a hotel. The 1st floor is their cafe, in the style of a retro museum, with various animal skeleton specimens and Gothic furniture, full of rich drama.
The food presentation is nice too.

Aung Peng Chung Fishball Noodle (黄炳春魚丸)
The queue for this shop attracted me to check it out and this has to be the best Fishball Noodles in Chinatown, Bangkok. They serve delicious noodles, fried fish balls, shrimp dumpling, fried dumplings & fried taro etc.
The serving is quite good too. Noodles are tangy & delicious. Pricing are very affordable.
There is a table outside selling just the fried stuffs, which mainly locals will takeaway. There is always a queue.
There are many awards photos and with celebrities on their wall, which shows they are famous & good.
Their service is quite fast & efficient, which is very good. You don't have to wait too long for your food to be served.

Public transport is recommended as saving money and time because there will be lots of traffic on the road. #mytripvlog #2023travelwish #tripblazers #yearofrabbit #newyearadventure #foodie

Chinese temples needed to visit in Bangkok China town
If you know about Chinese in Thailand then you will know well that there are a must to visit important Chinese temples before the Chinese year. First is the Mangkon temple second is Tai Hong Kong temple. They are just so close to each other in China Town. We normally word ship and thank god for taking care our life the whole year before year ended. For Tai Hong Kong, we also donate money for the Poh Teck Tung Foundation. It is the rescue foundation founded in Thailand famously known for rescuing road accident victims and managing unclaimed corpses. A small monies just for white clothes for wrapping up corpses up to a set of coffin plus clothes as you wish. #bkktemple #bkktrip #yuppijetrip #bkkchinatown #chinatown

Beautifully decorated with lots of style and character. Kinda like an old person’s living room. Dried flowers, wooden furniture, big glass beakers. Very interesting
Prices are high but you pay for the location. Cakes looked great although I didn’t try. I really is an incredibly photogenic location.
Coffee was excellent and they have a range of signature drinks. They also sell beer & cocktails.
