5 days 4 nights Taiwan travel plan. Let's get started. 💐Day 1💐 The first thing to do when arriving in Taiwan is to withdraw money, buy a SIM card, and exchange a metro card. After finishing everything, it was 9:30 PM. We had to leave the airport quickly. It took about 1 hour to arrive at Taipei Main Station, but we had to hurry to find a luggage locker because they were all full. After leaving the locker, we rushed to Taipei 101. Almost didn't make it in time for the countdown. As soon as we exited the station, we stood there right away because there were so many people. We looked up for a full 5 minutes. It was so beautiful. Plus the cool weather, I love it💖 💐Day 2💐 8:00 Leave your bags at the Taipei Station baggage service center (NT$50 per day) 9:30 Go to Houtong Cat Village, it only takes an hour. There are only fat cats. Then we warped to a famous teahouse in Ruifang District. We couldn't walk much anymore. We'll sleep in Keelung tonight. The planned plan is gone. Sleepy until morning 555555 💐 Day 3 💐 7:30 Check out of the hotel 8:00 Arrive at Zhengbin Port Color Houses Rainbow Village, take some pictures, and then walk to Heping Island GeoPark. On the way, we found a very cheap restaurant. Both the vendors and the customers are very good at talking to each other and are very cute. 13:00 Return to Taipei Main Station 17:00 Check in to the hotel and rest at your leisure 19:00 Ximending Night Market We didn't return until 11:00 PM. Entering "THE Doraemon Exhibition Taipei 2023" at the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall is like returning to childhood, and those familiar scenes and characters instantly bring back full memories. 1. Chiang Kai Shek Memorial Getting there - This is easily accessible by Metro as it is right outside the metro. Highlights - This is a huge area with the memorial, peace arch, parks and national theatres. The memorial itself is a huge complex with interesting exhibitions below and statue on top level. Overall, very good chance to learn about Chiang Kai Shek and Taiwan history Tips - You can go earlier in the morning as exhibitions opens at 9am but remember your sunscreen and umbrella. 2. Taipei 101 Highlights - Tall and iconic skyscraper of Taiwan that has many luxury shops inside the building. There are also many souvenir shops like Sunny Hills etc inside for gift shopping. Tips - You can also go to the nearby park near the city hall to have a full view picture with Taipei 101 and the rainbow. 3. Ximending Getting there - You can take Metro to nearest Ximen station. Highlights - Fun and vibrant shopping district from day to night. There are so much food and souvenir shops here. Don't forget to try the famous Ay Chung Rice Noodles and Xing Fu Tang's brown sugar milk. Options are endless here. Tips - Do visit the red house at Ximen which is a historic and photogenic building with crafts market and coffee house inside. 4. Raohe Night Market Getting there - Can reach there by Metro and then walking. Highlights - This is the best night market in Taipei in my personal opinion. The variety of food is great there and it's a huge night market. Many michelin bib recommended food like the pepper meat pancake, Yipinyuan rice balls to name a few. Highly recommended if you love street food.

This is a location that I personally like the atmosphere very much. The building is beautiful. You can walk around the building all the time. Each building has a lot for us to see. Another thing is that if you go in the morning, you can take beautiful pictures. If you go at night, the lights will be on, which makes taking pictures even more beautiful. The area is quite large. If you go on a nice day, it's like walking in a park. The large building on the ground floor has a zone selling Taiwanese souvenirs. Some of them can only be bought here. The price is not much different from outside. If you are looking for souvenirs, I recommend this place as well. And when we went, the weather was nice. There were a lot of Thai and foreign tourists, but there were also a lot of Taiwanese people out for fun (If you have a chance to visit, try to observe. I think Taiwanese people really seem to have a lot of activities). 💁🏻And we had the chance to try the world's first bubble milk tea (not too sweet, delicious and soft. #timetotravel Beautiful memorial building in Taipei that is free of charge. I visited in late July and it was very hot and humid, so I did not spend that much time outdoor exploring. As I am writing this post, I found out that every hour there would be changing of guards. It is such a shame that I had missed it… Because of the heat, I spent more time indoor at the level one gallery since it is air conditioned. The Place (Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall) that you shouldn’t miss in Taipei, Taiwan! I was so astonished at the intricate details of the building. The entire complex is very clean and beautiful. Come before 12 noon to witness the changing of the guards and get a close up view of the monument. There is also a wide garden beside the monument. The Memorial Hall is white with four sides. The roof is blue and octagonal, a shape that picks up the symbolism of the number eight, a number traditionally associated in China with abundance and good fortune. Two sets of white stairs, each with 89 steps to represent Chiang's age at the time of his death, lead to the main entrance. The ground level of the memorial houses a library and a museum documenting Chiang Kai-shek's life and career, with exhibits detailing Taiwan's history and development. Conveniently connected by MRT, this park is a great place for a morning walk in the city. The park is quite large . There is a garden tuck at a corner of this place where there are many sakuras in full bloom when we were here. We also see many locals walking around the park taking photos of all the flowers and sakuras. It is interesting to know that this is one of the famous sakura viewing in the city.

Apart from the gardens, it has a wall with Chinese windows. You will often see elderly Chinese men with caged songbirds. If you googled "places to visit in taipei", the National Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall will definitely be one of the top place that is recommended. The Memorial is in a big park where the national theater and another building building for cultural performances are locates. There is a big garden in front of the Memorial.
