The terminus was designed by a British architectural engineer Frederick William Stevens from an initial design by Axel Haig, in an exuberant Italian Gothic style. Is it a railway station????
#celebrateit
Located in Mumbai, "Chatrapati Shivaji Terminals Station (formerly Victoria Terminals Station)" is one of the largest terminal stations in Asia, where it is said to have more than 3 million passengers per day. It was built during the British colonial period and opened in 1887. The glamorous exterior, which combines neo-Gothic architecture from the Victorian era with traditional Indian elements such as stone domes and spires, is a masterpiece. The interior is decorated with beautiful details, including stained glass and stone sculptures. The station itself is the only one in the world that is registered as a World Heritage Site.

The most beautiful railway station in Mumbai
Talking about the most beautiful railway station in Mumbai, it is impossible to say anything but Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus. The day I visited was December 23, 2024. Many parts were covered with green netting for repairs, which somewhat obscured its full beauty. However, people still came here to take pictures. There is a median that you have to cross the road to take pictures, which is a great spot to see the railway station from a wide angle. There was quite a queue of people waiting to take pictures. When it was free, I immediately ran to find a corner to take pictures.
