Snowfall in a Bowl: Cheevit Cheeva’s Strawberry Cheesecake Bingsu Hits the Sweet Spot
Tried the Strawberry Cheesecake Bingsu at Cheevit Cheeva’s first Malaysian outlet in Chow Kit, and it honestly lived up to the hype. The presentation was eye-catching — a towering bowl of ultra-fine shaved ice, almost snow-like, topped generously with fresh strawberry chunks, cheesecake cubes, and a drizzle of sweet sauce.
The shaved ice itself was incredibly smooth and subtly milky, which balanced the tartness of the strawberries well. What stood out most was the cheesecake — creamy, not too sweet, and it actually held its shape instead of turning mushy like in some bingsu I’ve had elsewhere.
There’s also a hidden layer of strawberry compote in the middle that added a nice surprise burst of flavor. It didn’t feel too heavy, even with all the toppings — refreshing and indulgent at the same time.
The café space was cozy and inviting, perfect for catching up with friends or just enjoying a solo dessert session. Price-wise, it’s on the premium side, but considering the quality and portion size, I’d say it’s worth the splurge once in a while.

Great textures, solid flavor balance, and definitely Instagram-worthy.
