This is my first post in Trip.com and I would like to share my experience of traveling to Almaty region, Kazakhstan. The 1st posture is taken in: 📍Address:Kolsay lake 🕰️Business Hours: the best time to visit is around 9:00-10:00 am at summer because it is quite busy after this time. Very beautiful lake in 3 hours drive from Almaty. 📍Address:Saty village : The best way to feel this area gorgeousness is to stay at the closest village Saty. Personally I have enjoyed Kolsay Eco house! It was new, clean and tidy. The third photo was shot there, from the backyard of guest house. We have tried the food in the village restaurants and as a Kazakh native I can say that it was not as tasty as in guest house. 📍Address:Kaiyndy lake: this lake name is literally means “birch” lake. As you can see there is trees in the water. This lake is placed in the remote area in the National park and the driving by yourself is hard unless you have a specially equipped truck that can pass through the couple of little lakes. Fortunately there is trucks in the Saty village. For around 30-40 USD for the whole truck (around 4-6 seats) you can buy their service. That’s it for the first post! Charyn Canyon: Wildness in Serenity Driving to Charyn Canyon, the scenery gradually transformed from gentle greenery to vastness. The canyon's cliffs, as if cleaved by a giant axe, are rugged and dark. At the bottom, a stream rushes, its sound echoing through the canyon walls along with the wind. Standing at the canyon's mouth, the world seemed to fall silent, leaving only the raw breath of the earth. Charyn Canyon's beauty is raw and powerful, its depth inspiring awe. Lake Kaindy: A Sunken Forest Sanctuary Lake Kaindy rests peacefully among the mountains, a green emerald embedded deep within the valley. Its surface is as calm as a mirror, reflecting the sky and clouds. Dead trees rise straight from the water, like a sunken forest silently guarding this sanctuary. Hello everyone! I wanna share my trip in Kaindy Lake the most beautiful lake in Almaty.Lake Kaindy is a 400-meter-long lake located in Kazakhstan. The lake reaches depths of nearly 30 meters.It is located 129 kilometers (80 mi) east-southeast of the city of Almaty and is 2,000 meters (6,600 ft) above sea level. When you remember that I have shared my trip to Kolsai Lake in my previous post. So Kaindy Lake is the second lake that we visited before we going to Kyrgyzstan. This place also includes in our ground tour itinerary. Actually since we booking ground tour package, we not worried about the transportation and our journey becomes smooth. If you want to go Kaindy Lake, I suggest you to book day tours because the Lake is quite far from Almaty city (estimated 4 hours 9 minutes) In Kaindy Lake you have 2 option whether you pay for horse riding or walking on your foot but that time we decided rides the horse to explore the lake (RM50 horse ride for return trip). We choose to ride the horses because from the entrance you should walking and hiking and it will take time to reach the lake maybe it’s can take around 1-2 hours depending on your stamina. So when you arrived in this lake you can walk around and take the pictures. We spend time around 2 hours and we back our horse and going down to the entrance. When you arrived in Kolsai Lake you have 2 options whether you walking or riding the horse around the lake (need to pay 5000 Tenge for horse rides). We choose to walking around and take a pictures😍 The lake is located at 1800 meters, is about 1.5 km long with a depth of 40 meters, and is surrounded by high mountains (snow on the mountains) the view is absolutely beautiful🥰 the water is emerald green color. You should go to this place when you travel to Kazasthan. Actually this place includes in our ground tour that we paid. It is a unique landscape formed by an earthquake and is perfect for diving and taking photos! The lake water is clear and the surrounding environment is quiet, which is suitable for relaxation. The restaurant is located in this beautiful scenery, like a part of nature. 2️⃣ The restaurant's design perfectly combines local features with a modern minimalist style. The spacious terrace offers the best view, changing my stereotype that enjoying beautiful scenery requires eating in the wind and sleeping in the open air. 3️⃣ The restaurant uses fresh local ingredients, and the dishes combine tradition and creativity. Every bite is full of nature's gifts. With local fruit drinks, your taste buds and soul will be deeply satisfied. 4️⃣ Here, it's not just about dining, but also about enjoying life and capturing memories by the lake. 5️⃣ It takes about three hours to drive here from the city, so it's best to reserve a day for the trip. Visit to Chayan Canyon, Kaindy and Kolsai lakes (all within a day trip). Although it is long travelling hours from Almaty town, once you witnessed the nature beauty, it is definitely worth it. And require to endure some off road adventure of about 30 mins for 4WD ride to Kaindy lake. And we were lucky as it snowed few days before at Kaindy and Kolsai lakes, hence it seems magical like early Christmas

One of the other places to visit when in Almaty is Kaindy lake. It’s one of the best lakes in East Kazakhstan, you will definitely like it. You need to do some of roaming and two river crossing to reach. This lake can only be reached by a strong 4X4 car. The view is incredible, but you need to hike to reach the lake. It’s worth visiting but avoid in winter. You can wild came there as well.

Great place to visit around Almaty, one of my top destinations in Kazakhstan. You will have a lot of places to camp and almost everywhere you can have network. Winter are cold, and difficult to go by 2WD. There a lot places to stay, hostels, yurts and hotels. Near village , Saty, is an affordable place for accommodation and good restaurants to eat. You have horse ride or hike to other lakes as well.

Taking the road trip from Almaty to Karakol via Kegen/Karkara. The stunning view along the journey is never ending with greens, streams, snowcap mountains and cattle. It always amazes me as in how much more can our earth be so beautiful and unbelievable, awaiting for more and more exploration to put these sights into my memory. Just 2-3 hours from Almaty, you can visit this beautiful lake for a one day trip! Kolsai Lake is famous for its picturesque scenery. You can see the reflection of mountains and trees in the clear water (Photo 1). As you head further inside, passing through the forest (Photo 2), you can rent a boat and immerse in the view in the middle of the lake (Photo 3). From the viewpoint above, it takes around 10 minutes to get to the base of the lake. There are stairs on the side so it was not too hard climbing up and down (Photo 4) . My 60+ years old parent have no problem walking around the lake. It's a perfect destination to enjoy the peacefulness and tranquillity of nature. #Kazakhstan #kolsai #lakes #almaty
