Tangtangmigu Hotel values its guests! The service attitude is very good!
I visited during the Spring Festival and there were a lot of people. I read a lot of reviews and finally decided to choose the Changsha Fangtangmi Ancient Hotel (May Day Square Branch). There are 5 branches of Fangtang Mi Gu Hotel in Changsha. I read a lot of reviews and finally decided to choose this one. The hotel has an excellent geographical location, located on the fifth floor of a building next to Nanmenkou subway station, opposite to Huangxing Pedestrian Street, and just ahead are IFS and May Day Square. It is also very convenient to go to Du Fu Jiangge, about 20 minutes' walk, and then another 10 minutes' walk to Wenheyou. The hotel staff was polite and friendly, especially the guy who helped us check in, so nice! The room lacked some facilities, and the young man personally helped to buy them and also gave us a lot of snacks. You will be asked to add WeChat when you check in, and you can use WeChat to contact the housekeeper during your stay. Since we were staying for 3 nights, we chose a larger room. Just like the one in the pictures, the hotel provided air conditioning and heating, and 24-hour hot water. However, some facilities were different from what was written in the introduction, such as the courtyard view and minibar. There are no windows in the room. The garden view is a fake garden view inside the hotel, and people outside can see into the room from a distance. Remember to close the door and pull down the shower curtain next to the bathtub. There is no refrigerator in the room. The mini bar refers to the free drinks at the front desk. Because the weather is cold, the refrigerator for storing drinks is in normal temperature mode.
The hotel can provide additional refrigeration services. They have another refrigerator in the bar area, but I don’t recommend it for storing cooked food. I don’t know if the food we refrigerated on our last day had gone bad because the refrigerator was not cold enough. My friend suffered from severe vomiting and diarrhea after heating it up and eating it. I didn’t eat it so I was fine. As the incident happened suddenly that day and we needed to prepare to return to Hong Kong, I was unable to learn about the situation from the hotel in time. I could only apply to them for a paid late check-out so that my friend could rest and hope that he could take the high-speed rail back to Hong Kong in the evening. When we checked in, we asked about late check-out which was free until 2pm, and paid late check-out until 5pm at the latest, at 40 yuan per hour. However, since our room was already booked for the next guest, we were unable to continue to rest. After consulting with the front desk manager, they were willing to arrange another room for us. But I had taken care of my friend for the whole night and was in a hurry to pack my luggage, which made me even more tired. As a result, I dropped something in the room and didn’t realize it until I returned to Hong Kong. After asking the hotel staff, they said that if you like something that is not valuable, my sister will clean it and will not keep it (crying).
The hotel front desk staff knew about my friend's illness, and they also asked about it and showed concern when I checked out. I am very grateful. Afterwards, I reported to the hotel that the cause of the incident might be the insufficient refrigeration temperature. They expressed great concern and immediately investigated the condition of the refrigerator. Although the front desk manager said that the temperature of the refrigerator was normal and that it was in refrigeration mode and that the lowest temperature was 5 degrees, she also said that because there were many guests' items in the refrigerator that could not be kept too cold, they did not set the temperature particularly low. To be honest, when we asked for ice drinks at the front desk on the second day of our stay, we were told that there were none because the temperature of the refrigerator was set higher and the drinks we took out were only a little bit colder than the normal room temperature... Although they denied this, they also took the initiative to pay for my friend's medical expenses. From this incident we can see that this hotel attaches great importance to its guests, but there is still room for improvement in some areas. My friend recovered after returning to Hong Kong for medical treatment. We did not understand clearly when we asked for the food to be stored, and we were also negligent. If I have the opportunity to visit Changsha again, I will choose this hotel.
