[2025 Beihai Stay] Travel Guide for Changfeng Guesthouse (Weizhou Island Seaview Chalet) (Updated Feb)

Weizhou Island is a small volcanic island located South of Beihai, in Guangxi Province. Getting there is easy once you're in Beihai. Head over to the Ferry Wharf and you can buy a ticket on one of the many ferries throughout the day. Once you arrive in Weizhou you'll find that public transportation isn't really existent so you'll need to take a tuk tuk or make sure the hotel you're booking provides transportation. Luckily, the hotel my friends and I stayed at provided us with a shuttle ride to and from the wharf. The hotel has several options but I highly suggest staying in one of the seaview chalets, especially the most luxurious 360 degree view room that includes a big bathtub (I was envious of my friends that booked that room after I saw it). They're a bit small but have everything you need to rest and relax. The resort has a private beach but can also book water sports and other activities for you if you'd like. Other amenities include ebike rental so that you can zip around to attractions on the island or go on a romantic ride. We loved heading to the fresh seafood market (which the hotel took us to for free) and bringing it back to the hotel for sunset dinner. They cook it for you the way you like and you can enjoy it al fresco. My favorite hotel on Weizhou Island! 😎 Walking distance to the beach Weizhou Island is absolutely stunning in the off-season! 🌷 It's the perfect escape from the city~ 🍁🍁🍁 Stay in a detached ocean view wooden house in the north area 👉 Changfeng Guesthouse (Weizhou Island Ocean View Wooden House), with a full view of the blue ocean 🐳. It's only 8 minutes from the pier, and they even offer free 🚌 pick-up and drop-off service! 🚲🚲 Stunning ocean view 🐬 Whenever you want to see the ocean, 🦋 just open the balcony door. The water is crystal clear, with no impurities. 💋 You can even see whales 🐳 in December, for a date with the ocean. Every photo you take here will look amazing, ✌🏻✌🏻 it's a must-visit! Ultimate comfort The bed is super comfortable, like lying on a cloud. 😊 The bathroom has a clean bathtub, perfect for a relaxing bath after a long day. Before check-in, they even offer a thoughtful group service, asking for flight information, which is very convenient - ☺️ Rich facilities Enjoy a hearty breakfast in the morning, with soy milk, buns, noodles, and fruits 🍊🍓. The room also has a projector and a mini bar with soft drinks 🥤. The best place to watch the sunrise on Weizhou Island in autumn and winter is Yanwu Theater. Take a boat to Xijiao Wharf on Weizhou Island, and walk for two or three minutes to the beach. The hotel offers a shuttle service to the wharf. The beach is a public area and is free. The beach is large, with rough waves. The view of the sunrise is great, and there are not many people. You can watch the whole sunrise if the weather is good. The whole sunrise viewing time is around 5:40–7:30. We arrived there at 6:00 today and could already see the morning glow. At around 7:00, the sun rose completely, lasting about 10 minutes. ‼️ 1. The wind is strong and cold by the sea in the morning, so it is recommended to wear a warm coat. 2. 📍Changfeng Homestay (Weizhou Island Seaview Wooden House) The homestay is right next to the Blue Bridge, a perfect spot to watch the sunset. I originally booked a side sea view king room But after seeing the sea upon arrival I decided to pay for an upgrade to a standalone sea view suite on the spot! You can enjoy the sunset right from the room 🌅 Don't get too comfortable! 🏠The room type we stayed in is a standalone sea view suite. It has a 2-meter king bed and a 2-meter round bed, Super clean, very suitable for a family or a few friends to travel together ~ The room has a super large sea island style courtyard!! The housekeeper said that they plan to turn it into a swimming pool later on, By the way, thanks to my little housekeeper for being so responsive to our needs, My friends thought I went to Bali when they saw my moments on social media!!
