Po Nagar Cham Towers in Nha Trang is a fascinating glimpse into the ancient Champa Kingdom. With intricate carvings and sacred structures, each tower represents a different deity, creating a serene and spiritual atmosphere.
Unlike the typical Buddhist temples in Vietnam, this site is dedicated to the Hindu goddess Po Nagar, showcasing a unique blend of architecture and history.
Perched on a hill with views of the river and sea, it’s a peaceful and culturally rich stop—perfect for travelers seeking more than just beaches in Nha Trang.

♥️ Location: Nha Trang Poron Gia Lai Temple
💛 Uniqueness: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
💚 Satisfaction: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
💙 Entrance Fee: 40,000 VND (KRW: about 2,000 KRW, entrance fee + buggy car to the temple included)
💜 Overall: Poron Gia Lai Temple is a symbolic historic site of Nha Trang and Phan Rang, so it's a must-visit place when traveling to Nha Trang! It's a temple where you can feel the unique atmosphere of Cham culture and Hindu culture, so I recommend you visit and feel the beautiful historic site atmosphere! It's also a great place to take couple photos! Above all, the view is beautiful when you go up!
ℹ️ Information: Be sure to buy a round-trip buggy car ticket! The way up is completely uphill, so it's hard to walk up!ㅠ Get there in 3 minutes by buggy car!
Sit in the last seat of the buggy car, behind the seat that faces you. This is a great tip for a thrilling seat because it's uphill. ㅎㅎ

Review of Phan Rang Desert Tour from Nha Trang (Group Tour Totally Satisfied)
One of the most unique and impressive things about this free Nha Trang trip was the ‘Phan Rang Desert Tour’. It is the only desert area in Vietnam, about 2 and a half hours away from Nha Trang. The rare red sand dunes and cactus scenery made me feel like I was in another country.
Group tour? Why it was better
I participated in a group tour of about 16 people, but at first I was worried that a private tour or small tour would be better.
However, after going there, I realized that the group tour was actually a more efficient and fun choice.
1. It was very convenient to get around: It is quite a distance from downtown Nha Trang to Phan Rang, but I was able to travel comfortably on a large bus with good air conditioning, and the driver and guide took good care of rest areas along the way.
2. The local guide’s explanation was informative: Maybe because it was a group tour, a professional guide accompanied us, and the explanation of the history and culture of the desert and Phan Rang was informative and fun. It was not just a simple scenic tour, but a meaningful experience.
3. They give you the best photo spots: They gave you the exact photo spots, such as the timing of the sunset and the location of the sand dunes, so it was great for taking great shots.
Tour main courses
1. Sheep ranch
2. Sand dune jeep & sled experience
3. Cactus colony & exotic scenery
4. Great photos at Poron Gia Lai Temple
To summarize…
For those who hesitated because it was a group tour, the Phan Rang Desert tour is actually more convenient and informative in a group!
Since the guide takes care of everything from transportation, time management, explanations, to photo zone guidance, it is perfect for beginners. I highly recommend it if you want to see a different Vietnamese landscape.

Nha Trang Pokrongarai Temple🛕
Poklonggaray is a place that is usually included in the Nha Trang Phan Rang Desert Tour and is easy to visit. It is a place where you can see the natural view at a glance with a beautiful temple made of stone and exotic cacti. It is a good place to take pictures as a memory and learn about the deep history, so if it is included in the tour, I recommend you to go there ^^

Vietnam's lesser-known coastal resort city, Ta Tran City
Vietnam coastal city
Pan Rang Province's Ta Tran City, a historic coastal city, features sandy beaches with coconut groves, ancient temples, delicious cuisine, and cultural city walks.
Recommended Attractions
Binh Song Beach
A city beach in the southern coastal area of Ta Tran City, with coconut groves and white sandy beaches. It is open for free, with winding beaches and azure waters, making it a perfect spot to watch the sunset.
Po Klong Garai Tower
Located on the high mountains in the northern part of Ta Tran City, it has a history older than the Cham Towers in Nha Trang. Legend has it that the tower stood by the capital of the Champa Kingdom during its era.
Architectural Features
Climbing up to the Po Klong Garai Tower from the foot of the mountain requires ascending hundreds of stone steps. The main tower area consists of three towers: the 5.56-meter-high King's Main Tower, the 9.31-meter-high East Gate Tower, and the 20.5-meter-high Fire God Tower. Its architectural style is the traditional Mandapa style of the Champa Kingdom. The central part of the main tower has a wooden structure with carvings of Shiva reliefs. The entrance fee is 15 yuan.
City Walk
Ancient temples, local markets, and food tours.
Coastal Pagoda
A Buddhist temple with a hundred-year history, featuring a blend of Chinese and Vietnamese architectural styles. Free entrance.
Accommodation Recommendation: Stay in the city center, close to the beach with good views. Standard rooms are around 100 yuan.
Transportation: Take a train from Nha Trang, which takes about one and a half hours. The cost is around 40 yuan.
Food Recommendation: Vietnamese rice paper rolls, pork leg noodles.

Hindu temple, Poronjarai
Poron Gia Lai Temple was built to honor the king of Panduranga and is one of the tourist attractions in Phan Rang. It would be boring to go all the way to Phan Rang and only see the desert, so I think it would be good to visit the temple as well. Anyway, there is a Ponigar Temple similar to Poron Gia Lai Temple in Nha Trang city, but it is about 10 minutes by Grab or taxi from the city, so if you stop by while you are in Phan Rang, you don't have to stop by similar places in the city, so it would be efficient to plan your schedule!
📍Poron Gia Lai Temple
- Address: 52e Bác Ái, Đô Vinh, Phan Rang-Tháp Chàm, Ninh Thuận, Vietnam
- Operating hours: 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM every day
- Admission fee: 20,000 VND (about 1,000 KRW)

A pretty temple that would have been in big trouble if I hadn't heard of it
After the desert tour in Phan Rang, I was so hot and tired that I was going to go straight to the hotel in Nha Trang city, but the driver took me there, so I had no choice but to visit the Poron Gia Lai Temple. But the beautiful scenery that I saw from the entrance was really amazing... 🫢
There is a garden with colorful and pretty flowers, and it was really pretty, and the temple that I could walk up to in 10 minutes was also beautiful with flowers blooming on both sides from the bottom of the stairs, so it was great for taking pictures! 📸

Recommended places to visit during the Panlang tour👍🏻
It takes about 2 hours to get to Phan Rang. It would be a shame to only go to the desert during the Phan Rang tour, right?
As a place worth visiting in Phan Rang, I recommend the Poron Gia Lai Temple, which is similar to the Ponigar Temple in Nha Trang City.
It is a Hindu temple that is mostly visited by locals, but it has recently become a famous tourist destination as tourists have increased. It is small in size, so you can see it all in 10 minutes! 😁
