Wat Chalong is the largest temple in Phuket. It's free admission. During our visit, there weren't many tourists. The temple was stunningly beautiful. There was a famous monk Luang Phor Chaem, who is believed to have healing powers. Many locals and tourists came here to pay respect to him. We also visited the Grand Pagoda in the temple, we were told that there is a splinter of Buddha's bone at the top. The weather was very hot, please do not wear shorts, or remember to bring a scarf to cover up, otherwise you may not be allowed to enter the temple. #newyearadventure #tripblazers #phuket

Chalong Temple (also called Wat Chalong), was built at the beginning of the 19th century, it is the biggest and the most visited Buddhist temple in Phuket. Chalong Temple is located not far from Big Buddha so they can be combined. Numerous temples and gardens however not all were open while visiting but you can take beautiful photos and immerse yourself into the Thai culture and religion, another great thing to do while in Phuket. There is minimal shade, so bring a hat or an umbrella to block the sun. Also, women must cover their shoulders and not wear skirts or cutoff shorts or they cannot go inside the temples.
