Jiangxi | Detailed Guide for Four Days and Three Nights
Jiangxi is too much fun, a full guide for four days and three nights of play!
Take a spontaneous trip on the weekend✈️, and embark on a journey to Jiangxi this Christmas.
📷Jiangxi 4-day 3-night travel route:
📍Day One: Arrive in Jingdezhen by bullet train, Yaoli (lunch)➔Hanxi Village➔Porcelain Palace➔Fuzhou Alley (dinner)➔Imperial Kiln➔Taoxichuan
·
🌈Highlights of the attractions:
1️⃣Yaoli: The artistic conception of "sky blue waiting for misty rain" under Fang Wenshan's lyrics. A typical Huizhou village, the alleys here are also like ancient paintings composed of blue bricks, black tiles, and gray walls.
2️⃣Hanxi Village: The source of the porcelain capital, the hometown of famous tea, a large tea field, and the "lamp of the earth", all look good no matter how you shoot.
3️⃣Porcelain Palace: An exquisite porcelain palace built by an 80-year-old lady at a cost of 60 million.
4️⃣Imperial Kiln: Really achieve no dead angle in the picture. The collection is mainly tribute, and it is also very out of the picture. (Next to it is Fuzhou Alley Food Street)
5️⃣Taoxichuan Cultural and Creative Block: A cultural street transformed from an old factory building, with a market on weekends.
·
📍Day Two: Sculpture Porcelain Factory➔China Ceramic Museum➔Wuyuan Huangling➔Wu State of Women
·
🌈Highlights of the attractions:
1️⃣Sculpture Porcelain Factory: The sculpture ceramics and daily-use ceramics here are very distinctive, and the ceramic ornaments sold by some stall owners are also very beautiful, and the prices are very cheap.
2️⃣China Ceramic Museum: The hall of China's porcelain leader, Wu Yufo and his conspicuous bag colleagues are also here. (On the sixth floor)
3️⃣Huangling: Rated as the most beautiful village by National Geographic, the gray-tiled white-walled Huizhou-style buildings, the layered and orderly autumn drying scenes, all look good no matter how you shoot.
4️⃣Wu State of Women: With the legend of Wu women flying to the sky as the core, the new-style Huizhou architectural style as the feature, there is also a non-heritage iron flower performance in front of the Baoyu Tower every night.
·
📍Day Three: Sanqing Mountain➔Wangxian Valley
🌈Highlights of the attractions:
1️⃣Sanqing Mountain: Known as the "four absolutes" of natural mountain scenery with "strange peaks and rocks, ancient trees and famous flowers, flowing springs and waterfalls, sea of clouds and waves". It is recommended to take the Jinsha cable car up the mountain.
2️⃣Wangxian Valley: The real version of the "fairy world". It's very beautiful both day and night.
·
📍Day Four: Wangxian Valley➔Shangrao Bullet Train Station return to Xiamen.
·
🏠Accommodation recommendations:
📍Jingdezhen:
It is recommended to stay near Taoxichuan or People's Square, which is right in the center and convenient to go anywhere.
📍Wuyuan Wu State of Women:
There are hotels and homestays in the scenic area, with many choices.
📍Wangxian Valley:
There are homestays inside and outside the scenic area. You can choose to stay in the scenic area during the off-season, and you can get up and play in the early morning the next day.
·
🍽️Food recommendations:
Beef bone powder🍜Cold noodles🍝Preserved egg meat pie soup🫕Youtiao wrapped in glutinous rice🫔Handmade bean rush stewed fish head🐟Dumpling cake🥟Shangrao chicken leg🍗
·
⚠️Tips:
The attractions in Jingdezhen and Shangrao are relatively scattered, it is recommended to charter or carpool🚗. The Imperial Kiln Museum and the China Ceramic Museum are closed on Mondays, and you need to make an appointment online in advance.

Taoxichuan Creative Park - Modern Ceramic Museum.
On October 9, I visited Taoxichuan Creative Park. I think it is a successful example of the transformation of old industrial parks into cultural and tourism projects and a modern ceramic art museum.
Taoxichuan is a commercial, tourism, and cultural project based on the protection and utilization of ceramic industrial heritage, integrating industrial upgrading and urban renewal. The overall plan is 1 square kilometer, with a total construction area of 1.6 million square meters.
To protect the core value of industrial heritage, Taoxichuan adheres to the principle of "honesty and truthfulness". The 22 old factories of the Universe Ceramic Factory, coal-fired tunnel kilns, round kiln bags, and industrial facilities are protected and repaired in their original form, and the original architectural texture and style are completely retained, truly retaining the information and marks of the times. Today, the unique sawtooth and herringbone factories, 11 towering chimneys, water towers, and old slogans and slogans on the walls are ingeniously designed to turn these original objects into "waste to treasure" and integrate them into every corner of the block. Let the ceramic people find nostalgia and memory here.
Taoxichuan also transformed the original raw materials, molding, packaging and painting workshops of the Universe Ceramic Factory into ceramic industrial heritage museums, art galleries, education and training platforms, international studios, design centers, cultural exchange centers and other service facilities, successfully creating cultural communication platforms, international exchange platforms, intangible cultural heritage protection platforms, and double-creation incubation platforms, transforming the old ceramic factory into a "international, cross-border operation" cultural and creative block.

Jingdezhen | Tao Xichuan Creative Street Check-in Check-in.
| Tao Xichuan Creative Street Check-in Check-in.
Actually, I didn't want to come here at first, but then I found out that Tao Xichuan was just opposite the place where I was going to eat beef bone powder, so I thought I might as well come and have a look. It's still quite a good place to shop.
It's basically a street of original designs, and it's hard to find duplicate porcelain. Basically, each has its own characteristics.
All kinds of exquisite porcelain, this market is super large, and the environment is also very beautiful and very photogenic.
The porcelain is very exquisite, but it's a little expensive, and it's the kind that makes you want to buy everything you see. It's really an eye-opener.
Some designs are really creative, and even if you don't buy them, you can learn something. If you buy something, you can bargain. Generally, you can still bargain a little [sweat] and there are quite a lot of people.
p1: I found that I like to take photos of buildings with names.
p2: So exquisite, so beautiful.
p3: I don't know why I took this photo.
p4: Blue Dragon.
p5: This is the first time I've collected a set of stamps. It's amazing.
I ran to three stores and collected three times. But this photo is a photo with two stamps. It's so special and so beautiful. This store requires consumption to collect stamps. It just so happens that I think the fridge magnets in this store are very beautiful and interactive, so I bought them.
、
p6: Beautiful buildings, take photos.
p7: My victory hand gesture can't be missing anywhere.
p8: Cute little hamburger, bought one, the more I look at it, the more I like it.
p9: Vegetable dog for a good friend, I remember he likes vegetable dogs.

Recommendation reason:
It's quite unique and worth a visit.

Jingdezhen|A City with Great Potential||
||. This place has a rich cultural and artistic atmosphere, low living costs, and great food and entertainment. I really want to visit again this National Day!
Here is a summary of the previous travel guide for your reference
Day1⃣
🚄Jingdezhen North Station (10:00)
✅China Ceramic Museum
🎫Free
Remember to book in advance
I suggest going directly to the 6th floor to see the Silent Buddha, the Chicken Buddha, and the Reading Buddha.
There are very few people, so you can take lots of photos. Then, go down from the 6th floor to avoid the crowds and save energy.
Get a stamp from the basement after collecting paper from the first floor.
✅Fuzhou Lane
5 yuan for each fried dough stick and glutinous rice bun,
Eat Li Jie’s cold noodles for 6💰 and mixed noodles for 6💰
Fan Laotou’s beef bone noodles 20💰/person
It’s quite affordable for two people, and the taste is amazing.
✅Imperial Kiln Museum
🎫Free
I suggest visiting after 5 PM so you can capture both the daytime and nighttime beauty.
The ceramics inside and the scenery outside are both stunning and photogenic.
After the museum, we had some fried black duck from Ba Ba.
Dinner: Lele Food Stall
60💰 for three dishes, the chicken feet are a must-try, they fall off the bone with one bite.

Take your time to browse and compare prices.
✅Taoxichuan Cultural Block

Jingdezhen's 'Porcelain Bumping' Avoidance Post: Only Trust Half of the Travel Guides||
||. Jingdezhen's 'Porcelain Bumping' ⚠️ Avoidance Post‼️ Only Trust Half of the Travel Guides|||💢 Following the travel guides to Jingdezhen, two days and one night, I found that half of the attractions were not worth visiting! A waste of emotions!
Day1
China Ceramic Museum➡️Imperial Kiln Museum➡️Taoxichuan Creative Street
Day2
Sculpture Porcelain Factory➡️Sanbao Village➡️Taoyang New Village
✅Recommended, worth a visit!
1⃣️China Ceramic Museum (Free🆓, but you must make a reservation in advance. I went on a Sunday during the summer vacation and couldn't get a ticket🎫. They release 300 tickets every hour on-site, but I couldn't get one. It was too hot to wait in line, so I bought two digital Qianlong porcelain exhibition tickets for 99 yuan, which felt like watching a PPT😓. Other than that, the museum is great to visit. Modern and contemporary ceramics are exquisite and unique, and ancient ceramics have a strong sense of history. You can spend 2-3 hours there, feasting your eyes!)
2⃣️Taoxichuan (If I go to Jingdezhen again, I definitely won't miss the Taoxichuan night market. The market on Friday and Saturday nights is very lively🥳, with many innovative and creative handmade ceramics. Although the prices are not cheap, it's very interesting to browse. There are many personalized original designs, and the night view of Taoxichuan🌠 is also nice!)
3⃣️Sculpture Porcelain Factory (Great for shopping. If you can't afford Taoxichuan, this place is suitable. There are mass-produced items as well as designer pieces, with beautiful prices. The stalls in the middle are more affordable than those at both ends. There are many small shops and pottery studios where you can do crafts🤗, making it very suitable for family activities!)
❌Avoid, not worth it!!
1⃣️Imperial Kiln Museum (The museum doesn't require a ticket🎫, but entering the Taoyangli Scenic Area costs 25 yuan. The museum is inside the scenic area, so it's a disguised fee. Besides taking photos📷, there's not much interesting stuff. If you only visit one museum, it must be the China Ceramic Museum without hesitation!)
2⃣️Sanbao Village (Highly not recommended! The transportation inside is inconvenient, the attractions are scattered, and there are few places to visit. Some popular spots require spending or buying tickets to visit. Besides taking photos, there's nothing interesting. The whole journey was disappointing😣, with low playability.)
3⃣️Taoyang New Village (A relatively short street, almost all mass-produced goods with mediocre quality. The shop owners' attitudes are average. After a round, I found nothing new😑. The things seen in Taoyang New Village can almost all be found in the Sculpture Porcelain Factory, with similar prices and not much cheaper.)
📍The three recommended attractions can actually be visited in one day, which is very fulfilling and interesting. To retain tourists, they forcibly stretched the itinerary to 2-3 days. Avoid those watery attractions; even filling the itinerary feels tiring!
📍The highly praised and highly collected travel guides we see online are all template-like, telling you how to play. You can only trust half of them. Combine them with avoidance posts to help you avoid things you don't like~

Taoxichuan is truly a paradise for literary youth~ Chic and artistic, full of vitality and artistic atmosphere
Come to Jingdezhen to experience the most artistic market stalls, it must be Taoxichuan~
From the small Western-style buildings on the outer street to the cultural and creative stalls on the inner street, it's full of young town spirit and artistic atmosphere~
The market is dimly lit with some lights dotted around
Very quiet but subtly bustling streets and buildings (a bit like the chic of Shanghai)
Groups of energetic young stall owners
Pieces of cultural and creative handicrafts full of personality and artistic atmosphere
It can really improve your aesthetic
It can let you be influenced by art
And you can feel their persistence, love, and individuality
Although you don't necessarily have to buy
You must come and stroll around
Being in it
You can feel this strong atmosphere, I really like it💕
BrumeRivage555
To tell the truth, this is the current state of tourism in Jingdezhen during July and August
Jingdezhen suddenly became 🔥
Attracting countless young people with the universe porcelain factory
A less commercialized town, not the same old streets
Just too many people, mostly queuing up to check in
You must book the Ceramic Museum in advance!!
The ticket for the Imperial Kiln Museum is 53, and the free entry after 8 o'clock is gone! Gone!
Don't make impulsive purchases when you come to Jingdezhen
Make good use of Taobao for shopping, compare prices across the whole network
Taoxi Chuan is the most expensive, Taoyang New Village is the cheapest
If you really want to buy ceramic tea sets, it is recommended to go to Taobo City

Rainy Season Tour of Taoxichuan Cultural and Creative Block
⛰【Attraction Guide】
Haven't been to Jingdezhen for many years, the memory is already blurry. This time, I took the opportunity of a business trip to thoroughly enjoy Jingdezhen. Unexpectedly, it kept raining heavily as soon as I entered Jiangxi from Hubei. What does it mean by continuous heavy rain? It means it rained non-stop for several days, and the rain was heavy. All the rivers we passed by were swollen. I heard there is a cultural and creative street opposite the hotel🏨. Why be afraid of heavy rain🌧️? I took an umbrella and strolled across the street.
📍Detailed Address:
No. 150, Xinchang West Road, Licun Street, Zhushan District, Jingdezhen, Jiangxi Province
🚗Transportation Guide:
1️⃣ 1.4km from Nanhu Lijing (bus stop), about 17 minutes walk
2️⃣ Self-driving can park in the parking lot🅿️
🕙Opening Hours:
Open all day
💰Ticket Price:
Free🆓
🌟Highlights:
The first phase, centered on the former state-owned Universe Porcelain Factory, officially opened to the public in October 2016.
📌Tips:
1️⃣ The entire block is quite large, integrating tradition, fashion, art, and technology into one cultural and creative block, full of atmosphere.
2️⃣ Due to the heavy rain, we couldn't visit every place. The spacing between buildings is very spacious. I think it would be a great place for shopping and treasure hunting in good weather.
3️⃣ It is said that there is a market at night, and the prices might be cheaper. It is estimated that there was no market due to the heavy rain. As we expected, when we left at five-thirty🕠 or six🕕, neither the indoor nor outdoor areas were open.
4️⃣ Many shops and art galleries were not open, and there were very few people at some popular spots.
5️⃣ There are regrets, but it also lays the groundwork for us to find an opportunity to revisit in the future.

Checking in at Taoxichuan Creative Plaza
I am intoxicated, you are happy, we are carefree and forget about the mundane.
Surrounding the pottery square of the Taoxichuan Creative Park in Jingdezhen are various art galleries and exhibition halls related to ceramics. On weekends, there is a creative market that is said to be extremely crowded and lively. When we visited on a weekday, there weren't many people in the square, but the atmosphere was very relaxed and comfortable, especially the light and shadow effects under the setting sun were particularly beautiful. You could take great photos anywhere, and the people coming to check in and take photos also filled these renovated red-brick buildings with the breath of life.
The night at Jingdezhen Pottery Square is truly more beautiful as the night deepens. As night falls and the lights come on, the light casts on the red brick walls, creating clear and rich layers, which are very pleasing to the eye.

Jingdezhen has two ceramic markets: Taoxichuan and Lotte Market!!
Jingdezhen has two ceramic markets: Taoxichuan and Lotte Market
Both offer a good selection of items, but there are some differences.
Let's start with the first one!
1️⃣📌For traditional porcelain enthusiasts, head to 📍Taoxichuan first, where you can find many high-end traditional porcelains like blue and white porcelain and Jianzhan. The area is highly commercialized with a new and well-planned district. The cultural and creative district that opens in the afternoon is somewhat younger
🌟The evening market is the best time to visit, with three lanes of stalls.
The categories are quite mixed, ranging from blue and white porcelain to Jianzhan to hand-pinched ceramics. Porcelain enthusiasts of all kinds can find something they like.
✨✨Highly recommend the stalls run by college students, which are very distinctive and popular among students. Some items are very handmade (some may be too niche, depending on personal taste), including some that are very unique and non-commercial.
2️⃣Lotte Market
🌟Open until 12 noon, buy tickets in advance: Lotte Tao Society
The stalls here are very compact, selling products in series, like small-scale batch-produced items by young designers. The creative ceramic design elements and color matching are also quite harmonious, and I personally think the overall aesthetic is more superior.
✨✨After the market ends, the buyer's store Zhouguo is also worth a visit, featuring a collection of various designers' works. The quality and aesthetics of the merchandise are very stable, including some Japanese designer pieces.
Additionally, the entire street outside Lotte Tao Society is lined with ceramic shops, similar but worth a stroll if you have time.

Hello Jiangxi | Seeking in Jingdezhen.
Seeking in Jingdezhen. Hello Jiangxi | The plain embryo outlines the blue and white, seeking in Jingdezhen.
"The sky blue waits for the rain, and I am waiting for you."
The sky blue on the porcelain can only be achieved when fired in rainy weather.
That touch of ethereal and pure color cannot present itself.
It must patiently wait for a rain that may come at any time.
Only then can it appear in the clear sky after the clouds disperse.

"Half of the history of ceramics is in Jingdezhen."
But Jingdezhen is not actually a town.
It is nestled between Jiangxi and Anhui.
Under the undulating hills within its borders, more than 40 kinds of porcelain-making materials are buried.
Thus, it has become a city built on kiln mouths in the truest sense.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Here, life is born from porcelain, thrives on porcelain, and is named after porcelain.
Here, "plain porcelain snow color with a faint fragrance," as if the air is filled with the scent of porcelain culture.
Walking into the handcraft workshops nestled in the alleys, you will see artisans meticulously drawing lines.
Or conversing with "porcelain workers" at the Taoxichuan market about ancient porcelain-making techniques.
The pottery born here collectively constructs the world-renowned Chinese cultural symbol—china.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Located on the site of the Imperial Kiln Factory, the Jingdezhen Imperial Kiln Museum
The variously sized linear brick arch structures seem to grow out of the ground.
The architectural lines intertwine with light and shadow, creating a blend of reality and illusion.
The ruins of the old kiln, with its broken walls, are an undying memory passed down through generations.
Here, the art of earth and fire collides, combining local elements with Eastern architectural aesthetics, igniting new vitality in the museum's collection.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
In the earthly Yaoli, a dream of Fuliang.
Ancient Huizhou-style buildings are nestled among the green mountains and clear waters.
If you are not in a hurry, you can slowly follow the flowing Yaoxi.
Walk and stop.
Feel the gentle tranquility of the water towns in Jiangnan.
Yaoli Ancient Town is like a small town forgotten by time, beautiful in its calm and restraint.
As the birthplace of Jingdezhen ceramics and the namesake of the kaolin used to make ceramics,
Every inconspicuous small piece of porcelain may have hundreds of years of history, embodying profound ceramic culture.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
The kiln fire that has burned for thousands of years has nurtured a splendid ceramic culture.
The porcelain capital Jingdezhen has always been here, waiting for you to explore.
The charm of Jiangxi lies in the experience.
Only by coming to Jiangxi can you deeply feel the humanity and poetry of Jiangxi.
Experience the ancient charm and new stories nurtured by the thousand-year-old porcelain capital.

📷Travel Suggestions
🔹China Ceramic Museum📍Opens at 9:00 AM
You need to make a reservation in advance, be sure to enter the museum at the corresponding time, bring your ID card🪪, there are a lot of explanations on site~
The Silent Buddha is in the exhibition hall on the left side of the sixth floor, it is recommended to visit from top to bottom
🔸Changnan Lake Wetland Park📍Free and no reservation required
Right across from the museum, take a look at the divine dragon made up of 260,000 pieces of blue and white porcelain, forging the backbone of Chinese ceramics, writing a new chapter for China.
🔹Fuzhou Alley📍Free and no reservation required
After visiting the museum, you can go to Fuzhou Alley for breakfast, there are many alleys, a lot of delicious food, and the prices are not expensive! Recommended to try dumplings, soup buns, and glutinous rice sticks with fried dough sticks
🔸Imperial Kiln Ceramic Museum📍
If you don't want to spend an extra 50💰 on a ticket, it is recommended not to go through the main entrance, take the back door, you can see the same things! If you want to take photos📷 try to go early, I thought going at noon there would be no people, but it turned out there were still many❗️
🔹Taoxichuan Creative Street📍
This is a street with a lot of bracelets and ceramic sales, and the prices are really cheap, ten yuan for three strands...
🔸Sanbao Village📍
It is a very large village, the whole journey is about 4 kilometers🚶♂️If you want to save money like me, you can walk in, and you can take a sightseeing car when coming out (wave to stop🤚5💰)
The distribution of small shops is very scattered❗️If you rent an electric scooter, it will be more convenient, about 30💰
🔹Jiuji Town📍
After visiting Sanbao Village, if it is evening, you can stroll around here, about 2 kilometers from Sanbao Village, on the same line❗️This is a food street, with a lot of delicious food🍖🍕🧇🧀🥐

Taoxi Creek is very artistic
When night falls, it's really pleasant to stroll around here.
It is said that this place was rebuilt from an ancient kiln factory, with red brick surfaces on every building, and several tall chimneys reaching into the sky. The walls covered with lush ivy climbing over the red bricks are quite a sight.
There are many shops here, mostly original works by artists, with galleries and studios everywhere. Porcelain artworks are well displayed and look quite expensive. Since they are handmade, many exhibits are unique, one of a kind.

Jingdezhen | A must-visit for porcelain lovers, a gathering place for artistic youth
Before coming to Jingdezhen, I never imagined the city would have so many interesting places. Taoxichuan is a cultural and creative park in Jingdezhen, where many artistic youths gather.
🏺 About Taoxichuan
Taoxichuan is based on the protection and utilization of ceramic industrial heritage, combining industrial factories with artistic blocks, and integrating art galleries, ceramic craft stores, cafes, restaurants, etc., to become Jingdezhen's porcelain cultural and creative park.
To protect the core values of industrial heritage, the principle of 'honesty and truth' is adhered to. The original features of 22 old factory buildings of the Universe Porcelain Factory, coal-fired tunnel kilns, round kiln packages, and industrial facilities are authentically preserved and repaired, completely retaining the original architectural texture and appearance, truly preserving the information and marks of the era. Today, the uniquely shaped saw-tooth and herringbone factory buildings, 11 towering chimneys, water towers, and the old slogans on the walls are ingeniously designed to turn these original objects 'from waste to treasure' and integrate them into every corner of the block, allowing ceramic people to find nostalgia and memory here.
🏺 Highlights & Experiences
▫️ Find some unique porcelain
In Taoxichuan, there are many shops selling exquisite porcelain. However, compared to the Sculpture Porcelain Factory, the prices here are much higher, but the craftsmanship is more exquisite, the design is unique, and the quality is better.
▫️ Old factory buildings
Scattered throughout Taoxichuan are many red brick and tile factory buildings, especially in the central area, where there is a tall chimney between the buildings, reflected in a pond. Next to the pond, there are umbrellas and chairs, where you can sit, enjoy the breeze, daydream, and drink, all so comfortable.
▫️ Take great photos
A place full of artistic atmosphere is of course a great place to take photos. Taoxichuan has many angles for shooting, such as the chimney pond, red brick corridor, and the undulating slopes in front of the hotel.
❤️ Little tips:
1. Stalls at the entrance of Taoxichuan are cheaper;
2. Taoxichuan is even more beautiful in the evening and at night, it is recommended to come in the late afternoon and stay until the evening.

Taoxichuan Creative Plaza is a model of revitalization for an old factory area
The Taoxichuan Creative Plaza was once the abandoned site of the Universe Ceramics Factory, which has been transformed by international masters into the current cultural and creative district. It provides a tremendous platform for ceramic artists and has become a must-visit destination for tourists in Jingdezhen. The area is distinctly different during the day and at night, with weekend evenings being exceptionally lively. It's hard to believe it was once a derelict industrial factory, as it now resembles a bustling marketplace, filled with an array of ceramic products and rich in artistic atmosphere! Surrounded by a grand theater and high-end hotels, the entire district is seamlessly integrated, becoming a new highlight of Jingdezhen!

Jingdezhen | No one can leave here empty-handed
Jingdezhen is one of the iconic creative cultural districts.
It retains the style of the industrial era, with a strong artistic atmosphere.
There's the Taoxichuan Art Museum, the Jingdezhen Ceramic Industrial Heritage Museum,
various cultural and creative shops, ceramic shops, and petty bourgeois coffee shops.
There are bookstores, as well as pottery and glass experience workshops.
Taoxichuan's street stalls are really numerous,
many of which are original handcrafted items by college students, full of creativity.
There are many interesting cups and handmade ceramics.
You can't finish buying, you simply can't stop.
Who wouldn't be bewildered by Taoxichuan?
With displays and arrangements like an art exhibition,
it's very photogenic, every casual snap is beautiful.
It's really impossible not to love this place.

Taoxichuan: A Benchmark of Cultural and Creative Industry
🚘 Setting off from Guangdong, I drove to Wuyuan to see the rapeseed flowers, having heard that a hundred million people were on the road, and I was one of them. On the fifth day of the journey, I arrived in Jingdezhen, mainly to avoid the weekend crowds, so I deliberately took a detour to this thousand-year-old porcelain capital for a two-day visit.
✔️ Upon arriving in Jingdezhen, I didn't go to the hotel first but went straight to the China Ceramic Museum along the way. Unexpectedly, it was also crowded with people. Fortunately, the place is quite spacious, and the museum's content is rich, leaving a deep impression. The hotel is located near the Taoxichuan Cultural and Creative Center, and after settling in, I walked to this popular check-in spot.
✔️ After liberation, Jingdezhen built ten major porcelain factories, and the site of Taoxichuan was once one of these ten factories, the Universal Porcelain Factory. The meaning of Taoxichuan is 'from porcelain to stream, gathering streams into a river.' The once dilapidated factory buildings have now become a benchmark for cultural and creative projects, famous far and wide.
✔️ Stepping into Taoxichuan, I found that the main color theme here is brick red. Not only are the exterior walls of the houses faced with red bricks, but even the floors are cleverly paved with red bricks, giving a retro and warm feeling. I took a casual stroll inside while it was still light.
✔️ The buildings here are mostly transformed from old factory buildings, and there are some oddly shaped things that were originally production equipment. After decoration, they have become landscapes, among which the most conspicuous are the several large chimneys standing in the park, symbols of that era. In short, it's like dead wood meeting spring, rejuvenating with new life.
✔️ Another major feature here is the stalls along the streets, too numerous to count, selling cultural and creative products related to 'porcelain.' They are varied and dazzling, fitting well with the positioning of the Taoxichuan Cultural and Creative Center. Strolling casually on such a cultural and creative street, admiring these uniquely creative trinkets, is a pleasure even if you don't buy anything.
✔️ I heard that the night scene here is also beautiful and even more lively. Seeing that it's still light out, I decide to slurp some noodles on the nearby street first. Jingdezhen's beef bone noodles are a local specialty.
✔️ Returning to Taoxichuan, the street lights are just coming on, and the moon has risen halfway into the sky. The street is indeed more crowded with people, with tourists seemingly coming from everywhere.
✔️ After wandering around the market for a long time, I was reluctant to leave. The various cultural and creative goods, under the light, looked even more exquisite. Looking up, between the tall chimneys and the shadows of the trees, a bright moon flickered in and out of the clouds. Under the cover of night, Taoxichuan became even more enchanting.
📍 Address: Xinchang Road, Zhushan District, Jingdezhen
👍🏻 Recommended: Cultural and creative market, kiln check-in, beef bone noodles
💰 Cost: Free to visit, beef bone noodles 20 yuan for a small serving

Taoxichuan Creative Park is hidden in the city
Taoxichuan Creative District is a cultural and tourism project based on the protection and utilization of ceramic industrial heritage, vigorously developed by Jingdezhen in recent years. Here, you can fully experience the charm of ancient ceramic culture and the vitality injected by many young brands.
There are art exhibitions by emerging ceramic artists, as well as ceramic works by college students, handmade ceramic pendants, and hand-painted ceramic tea sets. You can even try your hand at exploring the art of manual craftsmanship. It can be said that everything about ceramic art is available here.
If you're not interested in ceramics, this place is also an excellent spot for social media check-ins, with buildings that are also highly artistic. A casual photo here turns into a work of art.
ELISE HAMMOND
A Ceramic Culture Center with International Influence
Jingdezhen in Jiangxi is the famous "Porcelain Capital". When visiting Jingdezhen, one must take a stroll through the Taoxichuan Creative Cultural District, where a variety of creative ceramic products are gathered, and you can also purchase some desirable ceramic crafts.
The district houses pottery studios, museums, a specialty boutique street, dining options, themed inns, and more, making it a very distinctive tourist spot for checking in. What I love most here is to browse the specialty boutique street, where the various exquisite and creative ceramic crafts are dazzling and irresistible.
The architecture within the district is also very distinctive, being renovated and expanded on the basis of the original Universe Porcelain Factory, full of historical memories, and also witnessing the history of Jingdezhen's ceramic development.
The nights here are beautiful, with the unique factory buildings becoming even more beautiful and charming under the lights.

1️⃣9:00-10:00 China Ceramic Museum
🕣: 9:00-16:30, closed on Mondays
🎫: 🆓 (You must book in advance on 🍊!!!)
A must-visit spot in Jingdezhen, the museum houses over 50,000 cultural relics, including the recently famous 'Silent Buddha' 💧. When it's crowded, you need to queue separately, and the exhibits are all very exquisite, worthy of the title 'Porcelain Capital'! It's recommended to come early, otherwise it's too crowded.

2️⃣10:20-10:50 Fuzhou Nong
A great place for breakfast, the alley is small, but it's all delicious food along the way. My friends tried Fangfang's boiled food and fried dough sticks wrapped in glutinous rice, both were good. I had beef offal noodles🍜, chosen randomly from a small shop, the soup base was quite fresh, and Tanpo's dumplings were also not bad.

3️⃣11:00-13:00 Taoyangli Scenic Area
🕣: 8:30-22:30
🎫: 53 (Book and purchase on 🍊, half price for the elderly and children, free for Jingdezhen citizens)
Equivalent to a historical and cultural resort area, covering 108 ancient alleys that have been around for a thousand years, including the famous Imperial Kiln Museum, Longzhu Pavilion, etc. There are also homestays, coffee shops, ceramic workshops, restaurants, 🍺 bars, etc. You could stroll around for a whole day, but we only had two hours due to our tight schedule, and it was still fulfilling.

-
4️⃣13:30-15:30 Taoxi Chuan Cultural and Creative District
🎫: 🆓, no reservation needed
An artistic district, the shops inside are more literary. There is a market from Friday to Sunday, with many artists setting up stalls, each stall is as exquisite as an exhibition, and because many are original handmade products🍶, the prices are higher than ordinary porcelain factories. If you find something you like, be sure to bargain! My friend liked a set of cups, and bargained from 360 down to 280! PS: There is an art gallery inside, 🎫40, worth visiting if interested.

🚗6 kilometers
-
5️⃣16:30-19:00 Sanbao Village
It's quite far from the city center, surrounded by green mountains⛰️, perfect for photography, and also a gathering place for artistic souls. There are many hidden gem shops, such as 9494 Aesthetic Space, and the meals are mostly exquisite. However, there is some controversy over Sanbao Village, because it's too 'Instagrammable', it's very crowded, leading to hours of queuing at some shops. Plus, the attractions are quite scattered and not very suitable for walking, so the overall experience might not be very good. Additionally, you can rent electric scooters🛵 at the entrance of the village.

The evening in Jingdezhen is an aesthetic ceiling
Special forces complete three itineraries in half a day🏃🏻♀️
1️⃣ Sculpture Porcelain Factory. So many interesting stalls and cute trinkets! It's just a whole lot of dazzling and overwhelming sights, each alley leads to its own unique world, only regretting that there's too little time to explore everything. Burned a glass butterfly ring🦋, it was difficult but I love it.
2️⃣ Taoxi Chuan. Rushed to Taoxi Chuan night market at five o'clock, compared to the Sculpture Porcelain Factory the items here are even more exquisite and unique, truly a paradise for handicraft enthusiasts, taking photos at the iconic landmark building is super photogenic!
3️⃣ Imperial Kiln Museum. After dinner at Ouji, it was almost nine o'clock, and I was so tired that I couldn't even stand up straight, hesitated for a long time whether to go or not, but in the end, I didn't want to have regrets. Caught the last bus at 9:30 to enter the museum for free, luckily the security wasn't in a hurry to drive people out, took my time to stroll and then went outside to take photos and check in, there were really a lot of people, only managed to snap away during the brief moments of emptiness, have to say the night indeed has a more atmospheric feel, happily collected a bunch of photos🥰

Jingdezhen Three-Day Tour
March 1st, 11:45 departure from Shaoxing North Station, transfer in Hangzhou, then arrive in Jingdezhen and check into Taoyi Yingxiang Hotel. Dinner at Xiaolechuan, a 1.2 km walk from the hotel, has a good taste, recommended dishes include stir-fried kidney flowers and codfish tail. After dinner, take a taxi to Taoxi Chuan Cultural and Creative District, which was transformed from the old ceramic factory buildings, retaining a full industrial style. After creative renovation, it has become an area with a rich artistic atmosphere, and there is a market on Friday and Saturday nights.
On the 2nd, after breakfast at the hotel, take a taxi to Lotte Tao Society Creative Market. The creative market requires a 50 yuan ticket and is open until 12 pm on Saturday. If you're not buying high-quality porcelain, it's not recommended to buy a ticket to enter, as there are plenty of stalls and markets on the street that are more suitable for shopping. Lunch was at Xiaomao Lao Mian Soup Dumpling Square Store, where the pork soup dumplings and preserved egg meat cake soup are good. In the afternoon, visit the China Ceramic Museum, where you can queue up to visit the Silent Buddha on the sixth floor. If you don't need a photo with the Silent Buddha, you can skip the queue and take pictures of the Silent Buddha during the gaps. Dinner at Ouji, which feels like the best meal in Jingdezhen, recommended dishes include secret yellow fish, spicy crab legs, ace chicken feet, osmanthus tofu, and water chestnut pearl coconut water. After dinner, visit the Imperial Kiln Museum, which is located in the Taoyangli scenic area. Taoyangli is a paid attraction, but you can visit for free after 8:30 pm, so choose to go to the scenic area after dinner at Longzhu Pavilion. After the time, the main gate automatically opens, and many people queue up to enter. We went straight to the Longzhu Pavilion internet-famous check-in spot, where several check-in spots were queuing for photos. Taoyi Hotel is right next to the Imperial Kiln Museum, but the north gate is not open, so you need to detour one kilometer.
On the 3rd, after breakfast at the hotel, team up to go to China Ceramic City to choose your favorite tea set. Lunch was at Fan's Beef Bone Powder near the hotel, eating fried dough sticks and glutinous rice cakes, beef bone powder, because of time constraints, did not go to Chengxin Fried Dough Stick Shop, did not eat the recommended best fried dough sticks and glutinous rice cakes. We had a three-day and two-night leisure trip, didn't visit distant attractions, Jingdezhen city is not big, just take a taxi in the city area, recommended food includes Ouji Dapaidang, for those who like spicy food Xiaolechuan, and for buying ceramics, China Ceramic City is the place to go.

Taoxi Valley: A perfect collision of tradition and trend
Taoxi Valley, a city cultural and creative district built on the conservation and utilization of ceramic industrial heritage, combines tradition, fashion, art, and high technology, recording the 60-year history of the Universe Porcelain Factory.
Neat and beautiful landscape paths - mottled and rough factory walls;
Modern buildings with red brick and ink-colored glass - chimneys characteristic of the old industrial era;
Logos of popular shops - slogans with the imprint of the times;
Dismantled machines and parts - modern sculptures;
The perfect combination of tradition and modernity is everywhere.
Unfortunately, the return flight was in the evening, so I couldn't enjoy the wonderful night view of Taoxi Valley.

People always say there are a lot of folks in Jingdezhen, but after some hesitation, I decided to go for it. Aside from queuing for an hour for a taxi after getting off the high-speed train, I found the city's population density quite manageable. After all, Jingdezhen has many markets, so not everyone is crowded in one place. This time, I opted for a laid-back approach, making a day trip and only visiting the Sculpture Porcelain Factory, Taoxi Valley, and Taoyang New Village. There's no need to specifically look for those popular shops; if you browse the markets carefully, you'll find them. When tired, just find a less crowded shop to sit and have a drink. The most important thing is to enjoy yourself. There are many places I haven't visited, so I'll save them for next time

1⃣️China Ceramic Museum📍
You need to make an appointment in advance, you must enter the museum at the corresponding time, bring your ID card🪪, opening hours: 9:00⌚️If you want to take a picture of the Silent Buddha without queuing, you must go early❗️There are a lot of explanations on the scene~
(The Silent Buddha is in the exhibition hall on the left side of the sixth floor, it is recommended to visit from top to bottom)
2⃣️Changnan Lake Wetland Park📍
It's just across from the museum, very close but I haven't seen other bloggers mention it, it's still worth a look❗️Look at the dragon made up of 260,000 pieces of blue and white porcelain.
3⃣️Fuzhou Lane📍
After visiting the museum, you can go to Fuzhou Lane for breakfast. There are many alleys, a lot of food, and the price is not expensive! Recommend trying dumplings, soup dumplings, rice cakes and fried dough sticks
4⃣️Imperial Kiln Ceramic Museum📍
If you don't want to spend an extra 50💰 for the ticket, it is recommended not to go through the main entrance, go to the back, see the same things! If you want to take pictures📷 try to go early, I thought there would be no one at noon, but there are still many people❗️
5⃣️Taoxichuan Cultural and Creative Block📍
This is a street, a lot of hand strings, ceramics for sale, the price is really cheap, ten yuan for three strings….
6⃣️Sanbao Village📍
It's a very large village, about 4 kilometers to walk all the way🚶♂️If you want to save money like me, you can walk in, you can take a sightseeing car when you come out (stop by waving your hand🤚5💰) The distribution of small shops is very scattered❗️If you rent an electric car, it will be more convenient, about 30💰
7⃣️Jiuji Town📍
After visiting Sanbao Village, if it is evening, you can stroll around here, about 2 kilometers from Sanbao Village, the same straight line❗️This is a food street, a lot of food🍖🍕🧇🧀🥐

Porcelain City Tour | A weekend night market not to be missed
Taoxi Chuan is a cultural and creative block integrating museums, hotels, and markets
It's quiet during the day with few people, but it's bustling on weekend nights.
Compared to last year, there are many more shops this year, and the overall quality is only second to Lotte, much better than many wild markets or Taoyang New Village, but there is not much room for bargaining, about eight to nine discounts.
It's especially good for friends who like ceramics. In addition to tableware, there are also decorations, incense holders, jewelry, candlesticks...
💰Ticket: 🆓
⏱️Time: Friday, Saturday, Sunday, 19:00-22:00
The stalls are different every day, so what you buy is also fate. Many are unique items, so if you see something you like, you should act as soon as possible.
