Climbing to the top of Jiangsu's highest peak, Yunu Peak, you can overlook Lianyungang, with the vast land stretching beneath your feet, which is truly awe-inspiring! On the way down, walk to the Water Curtain Cave, where you'll encounter many monkeys along the way. Some are walking with their babies, while others are leisurely foraging. I brought bread, fruit, eggs, and McNuggets, and found that the monkeys love fruit the most, especially bananas, making the interaction very engaging! (ps: The monkeys don't like McDonald's) After exiting the Water Curtain Cave, a short walk will take you to Sanyuan Palace, where you can take a car down the mountain. But we chose to hike down and discovered the 'Monkey Prison' along the way, where monkeys that steal or fight are imprisoned.
