The splendid St. Lawrence Cathedral built of black and white marble in the 12th century is magnificent, even by Italian standards, this black and white striped cathedral is also very good. The help of the old poor made it survive the British bombing of World War II in 1941. There are winding railings, crouching lions, beautiful bell towers and domes. Today, it has become the main local exhibition hall and art center.

【Genoa】Cathedral of San Lorenzo: Ancient Roman ruins, completed in the 17th century
The Cattedrale di San Lorenzo is a Roman Catholic church in Genoa, Italy, the cathedral of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Genoa. The striped buildings are the easiest to recognize and are visited by many tourists. Excavations in the area beneath and in front of the church have revealed Roman-era walls and pavements, as well as pre-Christian sarcophagi. So it is speculated that it was built in the 5th or 6th century. The carvings on the pillars and beams are very delicate, and the stone lions at the door resemble those of HSBC Bank.
After several reconstructions and revisions, the facade was completed between 1307 and 1312, and the interior colonnade has been rebuilt to this day. The Romanesque building was kept in its original state, with the addition of murals with religious themes. Construction of the cathedral was completed in the 17th century. The dome and the medieval parts were restored between 1894 and 1900. If you are interested, you can climb to the top to enjoy the city view. #Sign up for July hotel test sleeper

Genoa in Italy🇮🇹
#OverseasTravelStrategy
I visited Genova, so I'll share my travel diary✨
I absolutely had to eat pesto...! So I went to a restaurant recommended by a friend!
There was a line before the restaurant opened, so reservations are a must👀
I only ordered pesto and beer, but it came with bread! It was so delicious💚
What surprised me was that it was so delicious and only cost about 8.5€! It's so cheap!
This short pasta is called trofie, and it seems to be a traditional short pasta that originated in a town called Sori near Genova. It's sold cheaply at supermarkets, so I bought pesto sauce and this trofie as souvenirs!
Now that my stomach is full, it's time for sightseeing! Genova also has a surprising number of tourist spots☺️
First up is Garibaldi Street, which is registered as a World Heritage Site! Many of the mansions from that time remain, and it's a street where you'll never get bored walking around with red and white palaces!
Next is the Cathedral of San Lorenzo, with its distinctive stripes✨It seems to be the oldest church in Florence. It's a popular photo spot!
And Columbus's house! It is said that Columbus grew up in Genoa, and the house where he lived is one of Genoa's most famous tourist spots✨
Next is Ferrari Square! Normally there is a fountain, but on this particular day it was closed as it was a national holiday;; It is beautifully lit up at night, so please be sure to check it out✴︎
Finally, there is a galley in Porto Antico! You can go inside ◎
All the tourist spots introduced here are on foot 🚶
It's a small town, so I think you can see everything in one day ☺️🇮🇹

Black and White Band Church
#celebratewithtrip
The majestic and solemn Cathedral of San Lorenzo was built starting in the 9th century and was remodeled until the 16th century, which explains the juxtaposition of different architectural styles both inside and outside.
It is located at Piazza S. Lorenzo, 16123 Genoa and is open from Monday to Friday from 0800-1200 and 1500-1900. It is around 350 meters 4 minutes walk from De Ferrari metro station.
The facade has Gothic portals flanked by two bell towers of different heights. It is distinguished by the predominance of two-tone black and white bands, a symbol of nobility according to Genoese customs, and by the marble lions on the sides.
Currently the cathedral is under restoration.
