Getting There - Take a sleeper bus from Hanoi to Sapa Attractions - Day 1: Morning market - Explore the town (sapa stone church, Hotel de la Coupole) - Viettrrekking Cafe (take picture of the train) - Cat cat village {entrance fee 150k vnd} Day 2: Cá Hồi Vua King Salmon Restaurant (sturgeon /salmon hotpot) - Moana sapa {entrance fee 90k vnd, free one drink} - Night market Day 3: Fansipan⛰️ (bring jacket and wind breaker, the wind no joke!) - May village sapa - Nha hang O Quy Ho (steamed black chicken with pumpkin) - Rice terraces view point ⚠️If you have extra days, highly suggests you to take a halfday trekking tour to the rice terrace ⚠️Sapa is not very walking friendly as there will be lots of Grab bike approaching you non stop to use their service. Skip Hanoi and take a sleeper bus from Hanoi to Sapa, which takes about 5-6 hours. Review of the sleeper bus to Sapa: - Travel time: 6-7 hours (overnight), arriving in Sapa in the morning - Cost: around 700 THB - Cleanliness: quite good, new bus - Comfort: the bus is not crowded, comfortable for sleeping Day 2: Arrive in Sapa in the morning. Drag your luggage from the drop-off point to the hotel. We stayed at Chau Long Sapa Hotel, which is great. The hotel is large, with beautiful views and delicious food. Then, take a walk around Sapa town, visit Cong Cafe, which is not far from the hotel and within walking distance. There are many shops along the way. After that, hire a car to Cat Cat Village, rent traditional tribal costumes for photos, and visit the thrilling Rong May Glass Bridge, which has both a glass bridge and a glass elevator. It's a must-visit. Return to Sapa town, visit Sapa Lake, and head back to the hotel (all within walking distance). Day 3: In the morning, take the cable car to the top of Fansipan Mountain. Hello, this trip, my friends, we will travel to the northernmost part of Vietnam. It only takes a little over an hour to fly there. This trip, we flew to Hanoi. This trip took us 4 days and 3 nights. ✅On the first day, we closed and arrived in the afternoon. We walked around Hanoi before tonight we took a sleeper bus to Sapa. The price is friendly. The sleeper bus costs 800 something. We will arrive in Sapa at around 5 am. ✅On the second day, we checked in to our accommodation and rested a bit. Then, we rented a motorbike to travel around the city. The price is only 300 baht per day. Driving here is easy because there are not as many cars as in Hanoi. Let's see. The places to visit in Sapa today are: ❤️ Cat Cat Village The name of the village is pronounced Cat Cat. The highlight here is that we will get to know the way of life of the Hmong hill tribe people in a real way. The taxi fare that the hotel office told me was 1.5 million dong one way, but when I actually got there, I could have walked... . (It was Labor Day, so there were a lot of local tourists, so it was actually difficult to get there by taxi.. I got off in the middle and decided to just walk!!) There are a lot of local costume rental shops lined up from the entrance. How about renting one and making good memories? There are shops that braid your hair nicely and do your makeup. On the way from Hanoi to Sapa, all the cars I had booked were canceled because it was Labor Day. On the way, I had no choice, so I chose the Sao Viet vehicle that had a 3.1 million VND time slot and set off. Hanoi is the capital of Vietnam which is also filled with insane amount of traffic. Normally travellers will arrive into Hanoi, roughly a day stay or 2 before they head out, and for us we went towards the village of Sapa where Cat Cat Village is located. One way to get here is to hire a private tour bus to drive you to sapa as this can be almost a 6 hours drive. Upon reaching Sapa, you be greeted with views of the mountains areas as Cat Cat Village technically is situated at the base of fansipan and most tourists will stop here for a night or 2 to enjoy the traditional local food and especially to catch the view from afar of Fansipan. Getting There - Bus from Sapa town Attractions - the traditional village of the minority here. There’s a fair bit of steps to go down to the village. Along the way, you can admire the mountain view of Sapa. We came here in the late afternoon and managed to see the sunset. So beautiful. This used to be a real village but now turned to tourist attraction. Don’t expect to see “real” activities going-on in the village. But you will get a glimpse of their daily life. The water fall at the bottom of the village is beautiful for some photo opportunities. There’s also a display of how the tribal ladies made the handicraft cloth (thổ cẩm). They used the traditional method of dying and thus their hands are also dyed with blue.

I found a cozy little café where I could sit and watch the mist slowly roll through the hills. No guide, no rush—just peaceful exploring. The second day was the highlight of my trip: a visit to Fansipan, the highest mountain in Indochina. I took the cable car all the way up, and the views were absolutely breathtaking.
