Everyone thought I went to Suzhou, but actually I was in Guangzhou.
/
Lanpu is a place I go to seven or eight times a year.
Whether it is sunny or rainy, there is a unique artistic conception
The combination of Lingnan gardens and Su-style gardens
Let this place have the characteristics of Lingnan
There is also the graceful beauty of Jiangnan🍃
Waterside pavilions, rockeries, streams and small bridges complement each other
Looking around, it’s poetic~
/
The place is not big and there are almost no tourists on weekdays.
It’s very suitable to come here to take pictures📷
One step at a time, painting everywhere

Recommended 3️⃣ must-photo spots
🔶On the stone bridge of the central lake, I took a photo from across the lake, using the reflection, it feels like walking in the glazed water.
🔶By taking advantage of the winding stone steps in Yunzhuang, you can take photos of a winding and circling feeling from the bottom up.
🔶Fanghua Garden has rockeries, flowing water, luxuriant flowers and trees, and is very suitable for shooting antiques, cheongsam and other themes
AvaMacLeod92
It’s not whether you go to Yanyu Jiangnan or not, Guangzhou Lanpu is more cost-effective
"Guests in green shirts and misty rain are just like old friends coming"🌿🌿
Orchid garden on a rainy day, small bridge and flowing water, boat parked in bamboo forest
Walking among the bluestone paths, there is occasionally smoke
It seems that I have entered the poetic "Misty Rain Jiangnan" by mistake.
.
Small Tips:
① The park is not large and can be visited in about 1 hour.
② There are many mosquitoes in the park, so it is recommended to bring some mosquito repellent water!
③ Lingnan garden style, very suitable for taking pictures of Hanfu and cheongsam
④ Suitable for taking pictures on sunny or rainy days. The light is not good on cloudy days.

You don’t have to go far to find treasure in Guangzhou, it is hidden around the corner if you know where to look. Nestled between Yuexiu Park and Liuhuahu Park, just steps north of Yuexiu Station on Line 2, is the Guangzhou Orchid Garden
Lovely quiet walkways through many distinctive enclaves within this one large garden gives visitors a chance to experience the environmental beauty Guangzhou is known for. A favorite spot for picture taking, and leisurely walks.

Lanyuan is one of the attractions in Guangzhou Yuexiu Park. I didn’t expect to have such a beautiful place in Guangzhou! I wouldn’t have known this place had existed if it hadn’t been for my friend bringing me the last time I visited Yuexiu Park.
The whole garden has the style of classical Chinese design, plus the green environment is very beautiful, friends who like to take landscape photos must not miss! And there are fewer tourists here. You can wear Hanfu and come here to take photos of celebrities! And the entrance fee to the scenic spot only needs $10 RMB, great value for money! However, be sure to take anti-mosquito measures, this scenic spot is especially full of mosquitoes because of the lake!

A green wonderland hidden in the bustling city of Guangzhou, accessible by subway.
A cloudy day adds a special flavor to the trip. Many people take photos and check in here. The photos are very photogenic! The park has a Suzhou garden style. We recommend wearing a cheongsam or a light and airy outfit for the best photos.
We recommend bringing a cup of coffee and spending about 2 hours here. You may spend more time taking photos. It's a great place to relax and enjoy the scenery in the afternoon.
There are several cats in the park, which adds to the fun. The park is mostly green. I went on a cloudy day during long-sleeve season in Guangzhou and didn't see any mosquitoes. We recommend bringing mosquito repellent just in case.

Guangzhou Orchid Garden Travel Notes: Beautiful Scenery at Every Turn!
Today, I want to share my travel notes from my trip to Guangzhou Orchid Garden. The scenery was beautiful at every turn!
Guangzhou Orchid Garden is located at No. 901 Jiefang North Road, Yuexiu District, Guangzhou. It is a professional park that integrates orchid planting, viewing, and scientific research.
Tickets are CNY 8, CNY 4 for those over 60, and free for children under 6 and seniors over 65.
Opening hours: 8:00 am to 6:00 pm daily
The subway goes directly to the park. Take Exit B of Yuexiu Park Station. The park is not large, so it is recommended to visit it together with Yuexiu Park, which is within walking distance. This way, you can save time and kill two birds with one stone.
As soon as I entered the Orchid Garden, I was attracted by the scenery in front of me. The buildings in the park are antique, with pavilions, towers, small bridges, and flowing water, as if you have traveled back in time to an ancient garden.
The Orchid Garden is home to a variety of orchids, including Chinese orchids, foreign orchids, hybrid orchids, and more. There are so many varieties that it is dazzling.
Among them, my favorite is the Cymbidium, a type of Chinese orchid. Its flowers are small and exquisite, and its fragrance is light and elegant, making people intoxicated.
In addition to orchids, there are many other flowers and plants in the Orchid Garden, such as chrysanthemums, peonies, and bamboo, each with its own unique charm.
Walking in the Orchid Garden, feeling the breath of nature and enjoying the beautiful scenery is truly a pleasure.
This is also a great place to take photos, and you can take beautiful photos in every corner.
If you also like orchids and nature, don't miss Guangzhou Orchid Garden!

Amazing tranquility at Canton Orchid Park
As a foreigner visiting Guangzhou for the first time, I'm glad to visit this park and experience the beautiful architecture and scenery. The orchids are beautiful and well maintained. The bridge and old building added to the charm of this palace. I didn't feel like wasting my time and money when visiting this park. I can stroll around for a few hours just admiring the beautiful places.
💰Average Price per Person: ¥8 can be bought at Trip or counter
Ⓜ️ Simply take metro to Yuexiu Park Station and walk to Exit B2. The park was just across the exit
For muslim travellers, there's a mosque just nearby the park but it's under construction when we were there. The staff was kind and friendly 👍🏻

【Guangzhou Scenery】A Fairy and Cute Garden
🌟Highlights:
Guangzhou Orchid Garden is a fairy and cute garden in the bustling city. It is not large in area, and if you don't stop, you can walk through it in half an hour. However, it is shaded by green trees, with small bridges and flowing water, forming a sharp contrast with the scorching sun and busy traffic outside. It is worth spending some time here to relax. Many wild cats live here, either lazy or proud, as if they were born to be the masters of this place.
✅Must Experience 1: There are many photo-worthy elements here, such as bamboo forests, small bridges, ponds, ancient trees, pavilions, and of course, those cute little cats. The park offers commercial photography services that can be booked in advance.
✅Must Experience 2: Every autumn and winter, there is an orchid flower exhibition, where you can see various orchid bonsai.
📍Detailed Address: No. 901, Jiefang North Road, Yuexiu District.
🚉Transportation Guide: Get off at Yuexiu Park Station on Metro Line 2; if driving, you can park at the nearby Yuexiu International Conference Center.
💰Average Cost: Entrance fee is 8 yuan. Children can participate.

Small Hidden Gem · Guangzhou Orchid Garden
🚇 Take the subway and get off at Yuexiu Park Station, exit from B2, and you will find an Orchid Garden, a small hidden gem.
The ticket price for the Orchid Garden is 8 yuan 🎫. The garden is lush with vegetation, and in the misty rain, this Lingnan garden becomes even more mysterious.
Since it is called the Orchid Garden, orchids are naturally its main attraction. Orchids are relatively delicate and mostly need to grow in greenhouses to avoid wind and sun exposure. 🦋 Surprisingly, the Phalaenopsis orchid has become the star. In recent years, Phalaenopsis orchids have become quite popular, making people forget that they are also orchids. The flowers of the Phalaenopsis orchid are large and bright, making other varieties of orchids seem somewhat overshadowed and relegated to supporting roles.
Of course, the Orchid Garden is not just about orchids; it also has beautiful landscaping. 🏞️ Winding paths lead to the center of the garden, where there is a hexagonal pavilion in the dense forest. The pavilion is uniquely shaped and very spacious. From the calligraphy and paintings hanging inside, it is guessed to be named Luting Pavilion. Next to Luting Pavilion stands a statue of Zhu De and a large stone engraved with a poem by Zhu De titled 'Touring Yuexiu Park.'
The poem reads: 'Yuexiu Park's flowers and trees, a hundred flowers bloom, each vying for spring. Only the orchid's fragrance is just right, making it famous in the City of Five Rams.' 👍🏻 This was written by Zhu De on March 3, 1961, during his visit to Yuexiu Park.
💫 In the deepest part of the garden, there is a small house called Maoshe, which is a small exhibition hall where you can learn about the past and present of the Orchid Garden.
⭐ It turns out that its predecessor was a plant specimen garden. In 1956, it was transformed into a Lingnan courtyard. In 1957, it was converted into a professional orchid cultivation garden. In 1960, Zhu De's orchid 'Yingansuo' was entrusted here for care. In 1962, Tao Zhu, then the First Secretary of the Guangdong Provincial Committee, named it the Orchid Garden. It was officially opened to the public in 1976.
Walking to the end of the garden and then returning from the other side, you will find a garden within a garden called Fanghua Garden. 🪄 This was a model small garden designed by the Guangzhou Landscaping Bureau, commissioned by the state, for the Munich International Horticultural Exhibition in 1983, where it won a gold medal. Although decades have passed, it still appears poetic and charming today.
🍶 Returning to the vicinity of the main entrance, there is another garden within a garden called Jieyunzhuang, which has been transformed into Tongqingtang. It looks like a teahouse or restaurant, with an antique style and a tranquil environment, blending seamlessly with the Orchid Garden. It is a great place for elegant gatherings.

Lanpu Park in Guangzhou
A fresh and natural secret garden unique to Lanpu Park, located near Yuexiu Park.
The Lanpu on a rainy day has a more atmospheric feel. The day I went there was overcast with light rain, and you will see a different Lanpu. Just like described in the Chinese textbooks: 'The spring water is bluer than the sky, and the painted boat listens to the rain in sleep.'
I particularly enjoy wandering alone, so when I saw this scene, even if I was alone on an ordinary rainy day without an umbrella, I would eventually understand what is meant by 'every step is a different view, every step is a unique scene.'
🚇 Transportation: Metro Line 2 Yuexiu Park Station B2 Exit
🎫 Ticket Information: 8 yuan/person (half price for students~)
⏰ Opening Hours: 8:00~18:00
🚶 Personal suggestion: It's better to come when the weather is good, but you can also choose a rainy day for more of a Jiangnan style. After strolling, you can also go to the neighboring Yuexiu Park for a walk.

Guangzhou Lanpu
【Guangfu Four Days】Lanpu|||Lanpu was initially a botanical specimen garden and was not converted into a specialized orchid cultivation facility until 1957. After continuous expansion and construction, it has become a famous garden. The planting of orchids in Lanpu is divided into three sections: the first and third sections mainly cultivate terrestrial orchids with light colors and a delicate fragrance, while the second section focuses on epiphytic orchids, which are bright in color but less fragrant. The architecture within the garden emulates the style of Suzhou gardens: archways, rockeries, stone masonry, corridors, and waterside pavilions. Taking advantage of the terrain's undulations, with streams, ponds, and waterfalls, stone paths and small bridges are set up, and lush forests and tall bamboos are planted, creating an interplay of scenes where small views reveal grand vistas, and the scenery changes with every step, achieving an artistic realm comparable to the 'Humble Administrator's Garden' and the 'Lingering Garden'. The garden houses over a hundred varieties of orchids, with more than ten thousand potted plants, in addition to over four thousand pots of other precious flowers. Notable attractions include the Xiyin Pavilion, Changuang Pavilion, Fanghua Garden, and Mingjing Pavilion, among which Fanghua Garden is a miniature Chinese garden from the Munich International Horticultural Exhibition, famous for its small area yet numerous scenic spots. It was awarded the title of 'Best Garden' and won two gold awards. The main attraction of the Hongqu Pavilion is the legacy of the (Lanpu Fanghua Garden): 'Why seek a tranquil place far away, when Lanpu alone can make one stay. The painter's skill shrinks the dragon's inch, the master's spirit plans with precision. Amid the bustling cotton market's lights and wine, the fragrant flowers and birdsong near the water pavilion are serene. The nine patches of Fanghua are especially worth facing, where friends with shared hearts can be embraced.' Since its establishment, Lanpu has always received the care of elder generations of party and state leaders such as Zhu De, Ye Jianying, Dong Biwu, and Tao Zhu. Zhu De was first attracted by the elegant environment of Lanpu in 1960 and would revisit almost every year thereafter, paying close attention to the growth of the orchids, even donating his own cultivated orchids to Lanpu and leaving inscriptions as a memento.
Before the 1970s, Lanpu was always used as a place to receive national leaders and important foreign guests visiting Guangzhou, having hosted Zhu De, Ye Jianying, Dong Biwu, Xu Xiangqian, Deng Xiaoping, Tao Zhu, Rong Yiren, Zhang Aiping, as well as distinguished guests such as Nixon, Sihanouk, Lee Kuan Yew, and Tung Chee-hwa. It was not until after 1976 that Lanpu officially opened to the general public.
Guangzhou Lanpu, an oasis in the midst of a busy and noisy city, may not be large in size, but it embodies purity, elegance, tranquility, and intricacy. Lanpu is definitely a place worth savoring in detail.

After the rain in Guangzhou, one encounters the poetic and picturesque Lingnan orchid garden
Is the post-rain scenery of the orchid garden really that healing?
The orchid garden is quiet and unfolds like a scroll, with green trees swaying gently in the breeze, bright flowers blooming brilliantly against the red sun, pavilions and terraces scattered throughout the garden, winding corridors connecting the paths, clear water reflecting the blue sky, animals frolicking adding to the charm, and the blending of cultures making the atmosphere even richer.

Photography in Guangzhou - Not Suzhou! It's the secluded garden in the bustling city of Guangzhou
Lanpu, an oasis located in the busy downtown
It's a Cantonese garden, a hidden green wonderland beneath Yuexiu Mountain
Everywhere reveals a sense of purity, elegance, tranquility, and intricacy
Especially on rainy days, it appears even more secluded with winding paths🍃
Unexpectedly finding hidden trails
Allowing every visitor to enjoy the pleasure of discovery~
Stepping into Lanpu, time seems to slow down
On weekends, there are quite a few visitors sketching🎨
And some Hanfu enthusiasts taking photoshoots
-
The scenery here reminds me of the verses by Dai Wangshu:
'When the sky clears, it's time to walk the trails,
The rain-moistened dirt road must be cool and tender,
The small grass flaunting its new green has washed away the dust in an instant,
The once timid little white chrysanthemums slowly lift their heads,
Testing the cold, testing the warmth, then shaking off the dewdrops petal by petal🌸
The butterfly flutters leisurely among the leaves,
Spreading its decorated wings of wisdom, opening and closing in the sunlight'
-
I really like wandering in Lanpu on rainy days, it's very serene
With quaint lakes, lush and abundant greenery and mist
There are goldfish swimming freely in the water, and fallen leaves on the surface🍂
And the reflections of trees, creating a very unique and interesting scene
For those who like to take photos, they can immerse themselves for a good half day
For someone like me, it's also a 'world-escaping place' in the midst of the city

Guangzhou Orchid Garden, located on Jiefang North Road, Yuexiu District, Guangzhou City, was originally a herbarium garden. In 1957, it was converted into a professional orchid cultivation. After continuous expansion and construction, it has become a famous garden.
The orchid garden planting is divided into three fences. The first and third fences are mainly cultivated orchids, with light and fragrant flowers. The second fence is mainly parasitic orchids, with bright but less fragrant flowers. The architecture in the garden imitates the Suzhou garden style: arches, mountains, masonry, corridors, waterside pavilions, and according to the undulating terrain, streams, pools and waterfalls, stone paths and small bridges, and lush forests and bamboos are planted, making the scenery staggered, small in the middle, large in the step. The scenery is different, and the artistic realm of "Humble Administration" and "Lingering Garden" are achieved.
There are more than 100 varieties of orchids collected in the garden, more than 10,000 potted plants, and more than 4,000 pots of other precious flowers. Famous scenic spots include Xiyin Pavilion, Chunguang Pavilion, Fanghua Garden, Mingjing Pavilion, etc. Guangzhou Lanpu is an oasis located in the busy and noisy downtown. Although it is not large in area, it combines elegance, elegance, tranquility and exquisiteness. Lanpu is a good place that is definitely worth visiting. .

I really love coming to Orchid Garden to take pictures, N brush it | Guangzhou Orchid Garden
| Guangzhou Lanpu. I really love coming to Lanpu Park to take pictures. I have visited it on non-weekends. It is really quiet (there are more people on weekends). No matter it is sunny, cloudy or rainy, there is a different atmosphere.
It may be said that the place is not big, but it still takes some time to visit the orchid garden where every step is taken. Many Hanfu and New Chinese style lovers come here to take pictures.
"Ol tips
1. When you enter the door, you can take a picture of the "round door" first. It is symmetrical in Chinese style with the person in the middle.
2: Walk a little way to the left and you will see the "small bridge". People walking on the bridge are particularly inspired by space. But pay attention to safety and don’t move too much
3. After crossing the "small bridge" and walking to the left, you can see large trees dozens of meters high.
4: Above the big tree is the "Tongqing Hall", with spray in the pool, like a fairyland
5: Go back to the right side of the "Little Bridge" and go up the mountain to the "Fanghua Garden". There are two lofts, a pool with spray, and carp.
6: There is a bamboo forest hidden in the depths, which feels like a fairy tale.
The most important thing is to bring mosquito repellent to relieve itchiness! !

The garden-style parks in Guangzhou feel like a trip to the Jiangnan region
I've never been to Suzhou.
Potato friends say this place resembles Suzhou? Then I must come and see for myself👀
The Lanpu is a Guangzhou park themed around orchids, with architecture imitating the style of Suzhou gardens. It features small bridges over flowing water, arched corridors, pavilions, and waterside galleries, all located amidst the hustle and bustle of the city. The park is not particularly large, but it is exquisitely designed.

✅Suitable for photography enthusiasts/ancient style lovers. It is recommended to wear Chinese-style clothing such as cheongsams, Hanfu, and horse-face skirts. Surrounded by green trees, light colors are advised for a better atmosphere.
✅The park mainly features orchids and ancient-style architecture, and Hanfu can also be rented on site.
❗️Remember to protect yourself from mosquitoes.
❗️Elderly people and children should be careful, as there are many places near the water without fences. Pay attention to safety (personally, I think this place is not suitable for children, it's not very big, but it's good for taking photos, enjoying the scenery, or taking a walk).
·
✅Nearby attractions: Yuexiu Park/Nanyue King Museum Royal Tomb Exhibition Area, which is very close by. After visiting Lanpu, you can stroll around this area.

Every time I come here, I feel particularly comfortable. The combination of Lingnan and Suzhou-style gardens is cozy and quiet, making one momentarily forget that they are in the midst of a bustling city. Gorgeous! Finally, a sunny day at the Orchid Garden
The Tree Planting Festival on March 12th was blessed with superb weather✨! Yesterday, the sky in Guangzhou was incredibly blue, putting everyone in a great mood😆!
I've been to many places in Guangzhou, and the Orchid Garden Park is a frequent spot for me, especially during the height of summer🥰. In the summer, with the sunshine, little bridges over flowing water, passersby taking photos, and cats sleeping by the roadside🐱, it's simply the best place to chill out near the city center!!
The park is not very big, and you can quickly walk through it🚶. Not far from the entrance is a popular bridge where you can take stunning photos📷. Near the west gate, there's a staircase at Jieyun Villa that's also very photogenic~
