Classical gardens in Weihai? No, this is a resort hotel
Located at the easternmost tip of the Jiaodong Peninsula, Weihai City is a summer resort city that attracts tourists from all over the country every summer to enjoy its cool and comfortable climate. However, there is also a golf-themed resort in Weihai that only a few people know about. About a 20-minute drive from Weihai Airport, this hotel is called Weihai Shengmei Golf Resort, adjacent to Zhongbang Tianfu Golf Course. The hotel is surrounded by mountains and dense forests, and is only a few kilometers from the city, with tall buildings visible in the distance, giving it a sense of seclusion in the city.
The hotel's architectural style is unique, with white walls and black tiles reminiscent of Jiangnan gardens, which is also the hotel's feature. Staying at the hotel is like living in a garden, with garden elements everywhere from public areas to guest rooms. The hotel lobby has a lounge area where you can take a look at the surrounding environment while checking in. On one side is a rockery and water pool, and on the other side is a winding corridor. The furniture and materials are chosen in an antique style. The guest rooms are villas, with two-bedroom and three-bedroom villas to choose from, each with a courtyard and a mini golf course. Unlike other hotels, the guest rooms here are equipped with kitchens, giving a more homely feel. The living room is very large, making these rooms suitable for family stays. I prefer the rooms upstairs, which have a very open view, offering a panoramic view of the mountain and forest scenery outside the window. This room also has a tea table, with exquisite furniture and tea sets, and the quiet surroundings make it perfect for tea tasting. The restaurant is connected to the lobby by a long corridor. Walking into the restaurant, you can see dense greenery outside the window, and the hotel's buffet breakfast is enjoyed here. The breakfast varies every day; the first day's breakfast was semi-buffet, with some items self-selected and others ordered à la carte, and surprisingly, sea cucumber was served for breakfast. There are also elegantly decorated private rooms, with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the lake in the middle of the golf course. The hotel also has some old local houses that are now the SPA area, and these old houses are also very charming.
When it comes to recreational facilities, golf is the top recommendation. Next to the hotel is a large-scale golf course, and of course, there is also a large golf practice range. Relying on the golf course and the lake, the hotel has also developed many recreational projects, such as kayaking and fishing. The lakeside camping base offers tent camping and RV camping, and sleeping in an RV in summer is also a good choice. The hotel has a swimming pool and hot springs, and there are even more places to play around. Yandun Jiao Village is about an hour's drive from the hotel and is famous for watching swans in winter. This season, you can come to see the seaweed houses, which are unique buildings in Jiaodong rural areas. The roofs are pointed and covered with seaweed, looking very romantic. Although there are no swans this season, there are still many seagulls. Feeding seagulls by the sea is the most characteristic summer activity in Weihai. Heading north along the coastline from Yandun Jiao, you will find the recently popular Blue Whale shipwreck, Jimi Island, Xiang Hai Diamond Beach, and more, all within an hour's travel circle from the hotel.
