Cordoba, not just the Mezquita
Many people travel to the Andalusian city of Cordoba to visit the impressive moorish gem of the Mezquita, however those who choose to spend a little longer in the city are in for a treat. The beautiful Alcazar capped off with the stunning gardens, the Roman bridge crossing the equally impressive river, the Calleja de las Flores with their flower adorned balconies and the Arabic baths are just a small selection of the many treasures this city has to offer #cordoba #andalucia

Come to Cordoba and admire the beauty of Cordoba!
I especially love this small town full of flowers, which is also one of the typical cities of cultural fusion. You can tell from its most famous Mosque-Cathedral of Cordoba, which has engulfed a large cathedral.
🚗 About Transportation
Cordoba is not big, and all attractions are basically within walking distance.
Attraction Recommendations
📍Mosque-Cathedral of Córdoba: The famous Mosque-Cathedral of Cordoba. Before coming here, I wondered how impressive a cathedral could be, but after visiting, I feel it is definitely one of the most unique and worthwhile cathedrals to visit in Europe. It was originally the second-largest mosque in the world, later transformed into a cathedral. They didn't want to demolish the mosque, so they built the cathedral inside it. It's hard to imagine the wonder of this building without seeing it with your own eyes. The 860 columns that remain also make one curious about the past splendor of the mosque.
📍Calleja de las Flores: The famous Flower Alley, where many flower pots hang on the walls of the alley, but actually, the whole town is full of flowers, not just here.
📍Roman Bridge of Córdoba: South of the Mosque-Cathedral is the famous Roman Bridge, with 16 arches, very spectacular.
📍Alcazar of the Christian Monarchs: The castle of Cordoba.
📍Viana Palace: Cordoba is famous for its courtyards, and this is one of the most worth visiting.

Calleja de las Flores in Cordoba - The Jewish Quarter
Cordoba, for Chinese tourists, is far less known than Madrid, Barcelona, and Seville. Yet, this old city was once very glorious. In 975 AD, Cordoba was the world's leading advanced and civilized Islamic kingdom, with a beautiful city, prosperous economy, numerous libraries and universities, and many artists and philosophers lived here, and many ancient monuments are still preserved to this day.
The Mesquite Mosque of Cordoba is a miracle of architectural history, one of the mosques in the world where Mass can be held. The mosque, built in 785, mixes various architectural styles, with beautiful horseshoe arches, the main door is of the 14th-century Mudejar style, and the entrance to the courtyard is an orange grove. At the center is a Christian cathedral, with delicate arches and a gorgeously decorated dome from over a thousand years ago still preserved today, and many mosaic patterns add a touch of Byzantine church flavor.
Mosque entrance fee: 13 euros per person, it is best to buy tickets online in advance, there are time slot restrictions, and there are a lot of people queuing on-site.
What I don't understand the most is that the Jews were once the most vibrant and outstanding citizens of Cordoba during the Muslim rule. They lived near the mosque, in a small area with narrow streets, white walls decorated with iron window grilles, covered with hanging baskets and flower pots, currently dominated by 'Christmas red' in winter. It is said that in May when the flowers are in full bloom, this district is decorated with flowers, hence the area is known as 'Calleja de las Flores'. It is suitable for walking and shopping, with many characteristic shops and restaurants, where you can stroll and rest. It is said that a 14th-century synagogue is still preserved, the only one in the Andalusia region. I didn't have the chance to go due to time constraints, but it can be found on Google Map.
The attractions in Cordoba are very concentrated, and it is entirely possible to walk around with general physical strength. One day is quite tight, just the Roman bridge and the fortress at the end of the bridge across the Guadalquivir River are enough to keep you there for an evening, as the sun sets, the charm of the ancient Roman bridge fully unfolds.

Calleja de las Flores
Hundred Flowers Lane is located next to the mosque and can be found in 2-3 minutes. It is a typical white alley in Cordoba
because it is full of flowers and plants in the winding and narrow alleys. The flower is full of fragrance, so the April Garden Festival named Baihua Alley
Crdoba is famous all over the world. The courtyard design and flower conservation are very famous
, therefore Baihuaxiang should be the most beautiful in April and May. I am not very beautiful in this winter. I don't think it is very beautiful. The color of the flowers is not too much. There is no imaginative flower garden. There is a little disappointment
but there are many small shops around. If you buy leather goods, you can find a lot. Good handmade leather bag
good at sunset is the best time to see the ancient Roman bridge
NianXiao Yi.
Out of the Great Mosque is a particularly beautiful Baihua Lane in Cordoba, but unfortunately there is almost no flower in winter. In fact, not only in the alleys of the old towns of Cordoba, Spain, but also in the spring, the flowers bloom in full bloom.
The next step is the ancient Roman bridge of Crdoba. It is a bit bland during the day, and the evening lights will be especially beautiful. The most amazing surprise in Cordoba is the weekend market. In fact, I don't quite understand whether this is a fixed market in Crdoba on weekends or if we are lucky enough to meet the big days in Cordoba.
