Caifeng Villa, built in 1920, makes its debut in Fuzhou.
Located on Shanghang Road, Caifeng Villa was built in 1920 by Malaysian patriotic overseas Chinese leader Yang Hongbin. It is one of the best-preserved modern Chinese and Western-style residential buildings in Fuzhou.
Here's a story! A student from Minjiang University opened a coffee shop near the school, which was very popular among students. After graduating, they went abroad for graduate studies and opened a milk tea shop, which was also a big hit. In 2022, they returned to China and opened Wantu, a landmark milk tea shop in Wuhan. They then opened three more day-tea-night-bar locations, all of which became popular. Following this, they incubated designs and cultural creations related to Journey to the West. At the end of 2024, they returned to Fuzhou, to Shanghang Road. In early 2025, a multi-functional space that preserves the original appearance of Caifeng Villa while incorporating the owner's philosophy will be unveiled!
Currently, Caifeng Villa houses a bookstore, tea house, and milk tea shop. Art exhibitions and Southeast Asian cuisine will be introduced soon! The future here is full of endless possibilities. Let's look forward to it together!
