Be prepared for a really long queue if you want to sit inside at the very heavily photographed, air-conditioner hanok-style cafe/seating area. However if you just want to grab something fast to go or have something quick to sit at the tables outside, there is a shorter and much faster queue to the right. We only wanted a quick breakfast at the tables outside and were in the shorter queue for less than 5 minutes. The pastries really live up to their fame and all freshly baked - very enjoyable. The coffee and non-coffee lattes were also nice and hot BUT the drinks took such a long time to be ready - which would be my only complaint as we were almost done with our breakfast when the drinks were finally ready. Worth visiting for pastries to go in my view.

We went to a popular bakery in Anguk, Seoul. Apparently this building was renovated from a Korean house! Since it was renovated, the interior was of course beautiful✨ We arrived around 8:30 on a weekday, but there was a huge queue💧 Since we had plans later, we joined the line for takeout. If you order takeout, you can enter the store smoothly! Apparently you can use the benches near the entrance. If you don't mind eating in a Korean house, we recommend this place! This is a wonderful cafe just a 3-minute walk from Anguk Station! It's very popular, so I recommend going early. I lined up from about 7am on a weekday, and I was able to get in at the first turn! The seats are spacious, so even carrying a suitcase didn't get in the way. The bread and cafe latte were delicious! IMO this is the prettiest looking outlet with the traditional touch of the korean hanok! It is very spacious with a big space. This outlet is nearer to Anguk. So if you’re visiting this area, dont forget to drop by here is just a short walk from the station. There are lots of choices for the bakery.. taste was is pretty mediocre imo. I went to the Anguk outlet and seats are really cool there’s some that you sit on the floor like traditionally. The muscat bread was really delicious and I enjoyed it. They also serve some drinks. Overall food here is so aesthetically pleasing and they are really tasty too. Suggest coming here before visiting the palace. Didn’t expect it’d be snowing in Seoul in late March but finally it did! And it is strawberry seasons in Seoul so must try all kinds of strawberry desserts! Also so in love with cafes in Seongsu & Gangnam. Another must try item would be the Michelin soy sauce crab in Anguk for sure. Fresh and rich flavors which goes well with rice but it wouldn’t be too salty. Can’t wait my next trip to Seoul :)
