I found paradise in Kyrgyzstan
#MarchGoodPlaces2025
#Altyn #Arashan in #Kyrgyzstan Altai Arashan is located in a high mountain canyon at an altitude of 3,000 meters and is the most popular scenic spot in #Karakol #karakol.
You can hike into the mountain in 5 hours, and anyone with outdoor experience can easily reach it. There were no supplies along the way. The climate in the plateau changes quickly, so bring a raincoat, umbrella and jacket.
Don't worry about accommodation, there are many yurts, there will be a place to stay even in the peak season, and the hosts can speak some English so communication is not a problem. I bargained down the price from 1500 som per person to 1400, including dinner and breakfast. There are 5 people in a room, and if there are fewer guests, they can stay alone. The quilt was thick and I didn't feel cold. Dinner includes a small plate of pilaf, a bowl of noodle soup and a small plate of salad. It is enough to fill you up. Hot tea and hot water are provided.
Natural hot springs: Not every hotel has them, but the ones at the innermost ones have them. Even if you don't live there, you can still pay to take a bath in a small house. It costs 250 soms per person, and renting a towel is 100 soms for 30 minutes. The conditions are simple but the water temperature is quite high. It is the best way to relax after hiking.

Karakol: A Gem in the Tien Shan Mountains
#europetrip
Karakol City in Kyrgyzstan left me spellbound with its blend of natural beauty, cultural richness, and serene charm. Surrounded by the towering Tien Shan mountains, it’s a paradise for outdoor enthusiasts. I hiked through verdant valleys and soaked in the stunning views of pristine alpine lakes. The city’s diverse heritage fascinated me, with its Dungan Mosque and Russian Orthodox Church showcasing a tapestry of traditions. The welcoming locals and their delicious lagman made me feel right at home. Karakol is not just a destination—it’s an experience etched in nature and heartwarming hospitality. I can’t wait to return!

Local Bazaar Karakol, Kyrgyzstan 🇰🇬
In Karakol, you have plenty of great options! The city's markets and shops offer a variety of souvenirs straight from the source. You'll find beautiful felt shyrdaks, traditional Kyrgyz wool carpets, and other handmade crafts. Vendors also sell aromatic soaps made from natural ingredients and rich, fragrant jars of local honey. There also sell the fresh food like a meat, fruit and also dry fruits.
Karakol is a walkable city, so you'll enjoy exploring its small-scale shops and markets. Step into any of them, and you'll discover unique keepsakes like Soviet kitsch, vintage antiques, local handicrafts, and piles of spices, all while making memorable connections with the friendly vendors.
From my experience, the souvenir prices at Karakol Bazaar are cheaper than those at Green Bazaar in Almaty. If you plan to buy dried fruit, I recommend purchasing it at Karakol Bazaar, as it is more affordable and offers a wide variety of dried fruits.

A Magical Autumn Journey Through Kazakhstan & Kyrgyzstan
For 10 unforgettable days, I wandered through the golden landscapes of Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan with my 5-year-old daughter by my side. Autumn had painted everything in shades of amber and gold, turning every path, mountain, and lake into a scene straight out of a storybook.
We ran through open meadows, her tiny hand gripping mine as leaves crunched beneath our feet. She laughed as the wind caught her hair, and I smiled, realizing how rare and precious these moments were. We marveled at crystal-clear lakes reflecting the fiery colors of fall and sat quietly under towering trees, watching the world slow down just for us.
This wasn’t just a trip—it was magic. A time when the beauty of nature and the simple joy of being together made the world feel warmer, brighter, and full of wonder.

The Oldest Mosque in Karakol, Kyrgyzstan 🇰🇬
Hello everyone!
To be continue my journey in Central Asia Countries🤗 from our homestay we are moving to Kyrgyzstan by road which is through Kegen Border and cross the scenic Karakara Valley😍 and we arrived in Karakol in afternoon.
In Karakol we are visited the oldest mosque, the name is Dungan Mosque. A very pretty wooden mosque built by Chinese artisans for the local Dungans between 1907 and 1910. Completed in 1910, the mosque was built to serve Karakol's community of Dungans (Chinese Muslims who fled persecution in the 1880s). Designed by a Chinese architect, the building is constructed entirely without nails and much of its imagery, including a wheel of fire, reflects the Dungans' pre-Islamic, Buddhist past. If you plan want to explore Kyrgyzstan please put this place in your itinerary 🤗
This place includes in our ground tour package, if you want to use public transport make sure you do your own research🫰🏻 actually from Kazasthan to Kyrgyzstan you have several options transportation bus, car, train and flight.

Dungan Mosque (Kyrgystan)🥰
Hey everyone! Welcome to my travel story! I’m so excited to share that I scored a super cheap RM990 return flight to Central Asia this year! The trip start from Kuala Lumpur to Almaty City, Kazasthan😁 I’ll be visiting Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan, thanks to AirAsia! 🥰 I’ll be sharing all about my trip, including the amazing places I’ve explored. For now, let me introduce you to the oldest mosque in Karakol City, Kyrgyzstan—the Dungan Mosque.
Dungan Mosque was built between 1907 and 1910 without a single nail, the Dungan Mosque is an architectural gem. It was constructed by the Dungan people, a Chinese Muslim community who fled violence in the 1870s and 1880s. The mosque’s design was crafted by a Chinese architect, blending traditional Chinese colors and motifs. The prominent colors—red, green, and yellow—hold symbolic meanings in Dungan culture: red for protection against evil spirits, yellow for prosperity, and green for happiness. You’ll also see dragons, a phoenix, and a wheel of fire—typical elements in Dungan art.
If you get the chance to visit Kyrgyzstan, make sure to stop by the Dungan Mosque! See you in the next post😍 #travel #citydaytours #centralasia #trip #mosque

A Homey Hostel in Karakol
A Homey Hostel with a Stunning View in Karakol? This is The Answer!
So this is part of my one week journey in Kyrgyzstan. I arrived in this small town called Karakol. For those who don’t know, Karakol is a gateway to stunning destinations in Kyrgyzstan, from stunning forests and mountains in Altyn Arashan to mars-like landscape in Skazka Canyon.
For the accommodation, I stayed in this humble hostel called Snow Leopard Hostel. The host, Alzada, is the most friendliest host I found. She guided me on what kinds of amenities and facilities that this hostel has. And also, she has cute children to have fun with!
To be honest, I like this room so much! Not only because of the homey feeling to it, it also has a stunning view in the morning! Even though my trip got distrupted in Kyrgyzstan, especially only having limited amount of cash, this view truly makes me forget all of the chaos.
If I could visit in Kyrgyzstan once again, without any doubt I would like to stay at this hostel for staycation!

Getting There -
Jeti-Oguz Canyon is approximately 20km from the town of Karakol in Kyrgyzstan 🇰🇬!
The most common way to reach the canyon is by private vehicle, taxi, or organized tour. The road from Karakol to Jeti-Oguz offers scenic views of the surrounding landscapes and takes about 40 minutes. It was ABSOLUTELY worth it!
Food and Restaurants - At the bottom of the short hike to the viewpoint there is a small local restaurant. They serve traditional Kyrgyz cuisine and international dishes. Make sure you try the lagman! They have the soup lagman and the stir fries lagman and they are absolutely delicious! The place isn’t too busy and has a good ambience and is very nice to rest just after your hike to the viewpoint! #kyrgyzstan

A Whispers of Wisdom Amid the New Year's Hype 🌟💭
While everyone is busy creating vision boards and wish lists, let me share a little secret with you.
Financial flow is an innate gift, like blue eyes, curly hair, or the Rothschild surname. You won't manifest it in workshops.
Happiness isn't an Instagram post with a beautiful backdrop and a Lamborghini in Dubai; it's a homemade meat salad in your own kitchen! And today, my kitchen will be an island of delight in the global sea of whatever.
I just wrapped up my last project of the year and plan to hibernate under blankets, where nobody can see me. Consider it my holiday! How long are you working until?

Dungan Mosque, a Chinese-style mosque that I saw for the first time. It was under reconstruction, so I was able to enter for free. I've traveled to many Muslim countries and have seen many mosques, but this one was made in the Chinese style, with eaves and pillars, and they say they built it without using nails.

Livestock Bazar (Mal bazar), a Sunday livestock market where animals are bought and sold.
People and animals were tangled together, making it difficult to move, but it was fun because it was a rare sight in Korea. It might be hard to see because they dragged it around like luggageㅠ
It's a bit far from the city, so I recommend taking a taxi!! It's open from 5am to 10am, but the owner of the hotel said it was okay to go around 8am.
