✔️Josh’s Grill Restaurant
📍 200 Victoria Street, Bugis Junction Shopping Mall, #01-69, Singapore 188021
Josh’s Grill has many outlets all over Singapore and they specialize in classic western favourites, such as grilled meats, pasta and fish! The atmosphere here at the Bugis Junction outlet is very casual and welcoming, with faux greenery throughout the interiors.
We ordered the spicy sausage pasta and vongole pasta, both of which were flavourful and delicious! The spicy sausage was extremely spicy though so only order it if you can take spice.
What I was most impressed with was the proactiveness of the staff. When one of them saw me carrying a lot of things, she immediately brought a basket for me to place them in. Another also came to our table to ask how everything was. Excellent service!
My overall rating of the experience: 5 out of 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Bulgogi Syo at Bugis
#singapore
I first found out about Bulgogi Syo I gave it a miss because I saw a long queue at Bugis Junction. So the next time I was at Bugis Junction I decided to give it a try since there was only a short queue. It was also my birthday month and they were giving birthday babies a free pudding tiramisu birthday cake with a sparkling candle. Which was quite insane because it’s my first time experiencing this sparkles candle. We ordered their Duroc Pork Belly with Apple Hangari sauce, Kimchi Ramyeon and Kimchi fried dumplings. I was actually craving soup but since the place was famous for their fire and meat. The chef would first grill it in the kitchen, and then another round at our table. Not all meat will be flameed at your table. To be honest, we found nothing special and would have not have been worth the long queue. However the birthday cake make it a better experience.

Go-Ang Pratunam Chicken Rice
#singapore
We were looking for something new to eat so that we can trip moment which was why we decided to try this Thai style chicken rice. We tried their Red Tom Yum Tai Pot special that came with poached chicken and glass noodles/ other ingredients. There was a less spicy version and we are please to say it suits our tastebud! We can’t take spice and it was just nice right for us. The chicken was tender too! In case it was not enough for us we topped up with omelette , Thai Style fried cake and a cup of Thai tea. I have to say that the fish cake taste way better than expected. I would come here again 100%!

Fastfood chains serving mala !

Zhang Liang Malatang is one of the top 5 fastfood chains in China selling malatangs as their signature. Different from the malaxiangguo we eat outside where price is calculated based on per ingredients plus weight, sometimes the cost may be ridiculously high. But for zhangliang, doesn’t matter which ingredients you pick, the overall weight in the bowl is calculated only. Anyways they really have lots of ingredients varieties can be choose from.

The Reigning King of Tonkotsu Ramen
🍜 Tonkotsu King Four Seasons
📍158 Rochor Rd, Singapore 188433
This hidden gem tucked away in the vibrant shophouses of Bugis. This Japanese ramen bar offers a unique dining experience that caters to both ramen enthusiasts and connoisseurs.
Tonkotsu King Four Seasons showcased a creative menu, with each ramen named after the seasons - Winter, Summer, Spring, and Autumn. All of which had different variations to the broth and toppings
They even had complimentary free-flow bean sprouts and boiled eggs, allowing guests to customize their ramen bowls. They even provided sesame seeds for guests to grind themselves, enhancing the flavors and adding a personal touch to the meal.
I opted for the Summer Tonkotsu, featuring succulent pork slices in a rich garlic-infused broth. The flavors were perfectly balanced, resulting in a heavenly combination that left me craving for more.
While the prices may be slightly higher for budget eaters, Tonkotsu King Four Seasons is worth every penny for ramen enthusiasts. The quality ingredients, meticulous preparation, and unique menu make it a standout among other ramen establishments.

banchan overflow
Bulgogi Syo at bugis is recommended if you are into Korean Bbq but does wish to have the Bbq grill on the table.
They torch the meat in front of us when they serve the hotplate, so it becomes another experience at this restaurant. the meat was well flavoured and tender. it also serves other authentic Korean food like the kimchi stew and seafood pancake, which were delicious too.
this place also offers free flow banchan, which you can take from its banchan bar instead of asking the staff for refill.
will be back to try the other food items!

Miam Miam, French Japanese dining
Address - 200 Victorian Street, #02-14 Bugis Junction, Singapore 188021
Highlights - french Japanese food
Avg. Price per Person - SGD25
Rating - 3/5
Getting here: Bugis mrt
Miam Miam is a French-Japanese concept dining. Its name Miam simply means "Yum" in French. It serves main courses like pasta and Japanese curry souffle rice, donburi. They have a wide selection of desserts like pancakes, french toast and souffle cakes that look so appetizing in the pictures! They also have meals specially catered for the children and lunch promo sets on weekdays.
We were given a QR code to scan to place our order. Ordering was easy and it didn't take long for the food to be served. We ordered the truffle mushroom soup topped with onsen egg and garlic bread, mac and cheese and seabass pasta. The food exceeded our expectation. The soup was thick and flavourful, topped with generous serving of truffle oil. The onsen egg was done just-right, bursting in your mouth. The seabass was nicely done and the pasta was al dente.
Sadly, our stomachs did not have space for the desserts but we will definitely be back for more! Service from the service crew was good and prompt.

Bugis food street
Located up on level 3 of Bugis Junction shopping centre, you can find the traditionally prepared delicacies of Malaysia right here in Singapore! This food street is called Malaysia Boleh, with many stalls selling authentic hawker food like char kway teow and Ipoh white coffee.
The atmosphere is quite crowded and noisy though so it’s probably somewhere where you want to just eat and leave after.

Popular western restaurant
We had to queue for quite a while to get a seat in this restaurant as it was just that popular. It’s probably because the prices here are really quite affordable for such western fare like grilled chicken and beef steak. I went with the salmon which was a comfort food for me. However, avoid the onion rings as they were mostly made of flour.

Discovering arts in shop houses
#artshunting
Planning my Village Hotel Bugis staycation and I am here to explore the arts and culture of shophouses in Bugis area. These are gazetted by the authority to conserve the buildings and preserve historical architecture. Most of these shophouses are in fact restored and have passed the safe building checks. You can enter the shops and restaurants and see the shophouses for yourself. There are also similar shophouses in Kampong Glam and Chinatown too.

The Original Boat Noodles
The boat noodles come in 5 flavours, beef, or chicken, from only $1.80 per bowl. We ordered the promotion set at SGD9.90+. You can choose up to 5 different flavours of rice noodles or springy noodles served in mini bowls and a drink. Among the five, I love Creamy Tom Yum the most. The soup was hot and spicy, made with the perfect blend of aromatic herbs and spices, topped with crispy golden wanton skin. I also like the Pathumthani taste, which is a dark soy sauce broth that tastes both sourish and spicy, very unique and addictive. Even though the portions were small, it still left us satisfied after 2-3 servings. Good for those who like varieties. The Cha Yen Thai iced tea was awesome.

Finally decided to try this Prawn noodles because of her vibrant menu. Cheapest prawn noodle was $5.90 + a drink at $1. Never fail me. Soup was real good, broiled with hundreds of prawns over hours.
