Also, bring sun protection such as sunscreen, sunglasses, and hats. - Items: Prepare high-top waterproof hiking boots or trekking shoes. You can also bring a pair of slippers. Bring photography equipment such as a camera, telephoto lens, drone, and tripod, as well as chargers and power banks. - Medicine: Prepare anti-altitude sickness medication such as Rhodiola, as well as common medicines for colds, fever, stomach problems, and motion sickness. Transportation - Self-driving: From Nyingchi, drive along the northern highway on the left side of the Yarlung Tsangpo River. The distance is about 65 km, and the drive takes about 70 minutes. - Carpooling: You can carpool with others from downtown Nyingchi or the airport, which is convenient and cost-effective. Things to Do - Best time to visit: It is recommended to visit in the morning, as the light is good and the wind tends to pick up in the afternoon. From late autumn to late spring, the wind is strong, the shape of the sand dunes is more pronounced, and the scenery is better on sunny days. - Activities: You can experience sand sliding and feel the thrill of speeding down from the top of the dunes. You need to pay an extra CNY 60 to rent a sandboard. You can also choose a two-person desert ATV for CNY 200 per ride, lasting 20 minutes. - Photography tips: Wear bright clothes such as red or orange, or black and white, to create a sharp contrast with the surrounding scenery. When composing your shots, make the person smaller and the scene larger. You can capture the distant snow-capped mountains to enhance the atmosphere. Precautions - Altitude sickness prevention: The sand dune is at an altitude of 3,100 meters, so be aware of altitude sickness and avoid strenuous exercise. - Sun and sand protection: The plateau has strong ultraviolet rays, so take sun protection measures. You can also enjoy peach blossoms by the Yarlung Tsangpo River. 3️⃣Bomi Peach Blossom Valley: Known as "China's largest peach blossom valley," it features wild, tall, and robust peach trees blooming under the snow-capped mountains. 4️⃣Mainling County: Near Nyingchi Mainling Airport, a peach blossom forest stretches for about 10 kilometers, with snow mountains, Tibetan villages, and roads.👍 5️⃣Pai Town: Towards the Yarlung Tsangpo Grand Canyon, peach blossoms adorn the trees, with snow mountains in the distance. 🌟🚗🌸Besides peach blossoms, Nyingchi offers many other beautiful attractions. Here's my itinerary for your reference: 1. After arriving in Lhasa, take the high-speed train to Nyingchi and stay in Bayi Town. 2. On the 2️⃣nd day, depart from Bayi Town. 🚗About 1 hour to Gala Peach Blossom Village (2 hours for sightseeing) 🚗Palmprint Hill (1 hour for sightseeing) 🚗Suosong Village (you might see the full view of Mount Namcha Barwa if you're lucky). You can stay in Suosong Village/Bayi Town. 3. On the 3️⃣rd day, depart early for Sejila Mountain. 🚗About 2 hours to reach the Mount Namcha Barwa viewing platform at the summit. 🚗Lulang Town (taste the stone pot chicken). If you have time, stay overnight in Lulang, it's truly beautiful! If you're in a hurry, you can rush to Bomi County that night. I usually find a homestay in Guxiang Town before Bomi County. It's about half an hour away from Bomi County. 4. On the 4️⃣th day, hike in the Gang Spruce Forest in the morning (stroll through the primeval forest with giant spruce trees, very spectacular, about 2 hours or more). If you have the chance, visit the nearby Galong Palace (a relatively niche attraction, but quite nice). In the afternoon, go to Bomi Peach Blossom Valley. There are many beautiful peach blossoms nearby. You can stay in Bomi County that night. 5. On the 5️⃣th day, you can choose two directions. 🌟Option A: Depart early for Ranwu Lake, then visit Laigu Glacier. However, in March and April, the lake surface is likely frozen, so you can only view the glacier from afar. There are many other glaciers to choose from along the way. I went to see the Langqiu Glacier and also photographed the popular bridge under the snow mountain.👍 Then return to Bomi County in the evening. ⚠️Option B: Towards Motuo (border defense permit required, even numbers in, odd numbers out). You can first visit Duodong Monastery overlooking Bomi County, then Galongla Scenic Area, Galongla Monastery, and Galongla Glacier. After passing through the Galongla Tunnel, you enter Motuo. After the tour, head to Nyingchi. 6. On the 6th day, self-drive from Nyingchi to Lhasa. Visit Basum Tso Lake on the way and arrive in Lhasa in the evening.

The Danang Buddha Palm Dunes, also known as the Danang Dunes or Buddha Palm Dunes, are located on the north bank of the Yarlung Tsangpo River in Milin County, Nyingchi region. They are named after their location, 'Danang Dunes', and are a famous mid-river dune of the Yarlung Tsangpo River, belonging to the desert geomorphology formed by aeolian deposition. Under the blue sky, the dunes are backed by the lush and towering green mountains, and the blue Yarlung Tsangpo River flows gently in front of the dunes. The beige dunes and their reflections resemble two giant Buddha palms coming together in prayer, which is why they are also known as the 'Buddha Palm Dunes'.

🌟I recently went to Linzhi, took the last flight of Southern Airlines, it was really great! Winter in Tibet is very friendly, the weather is super good, almost all sunny days. And the cost is much less than the peak season, almost all attractions are free, highly recommended!💫👍 🌟Considering that the local transportation in Linzhi is not very convenient, I made a lot of strategies, consulted the opinions of locals, including the owner of the homestay, the contact person of the car rental company, and the front desk of the hotel, etc. They provided me with the latest weather and road conditions (you must understand the icing situation in winter first). Combined with my budget, I decided to take a self-driving trip. Of course, the premise is that I must have enough driving experience, and it is not recommended for novices who are familiar with long-distance mountain driving skills.🚗🏔️ 1️⃣DAY1: After arriving at Linzhi Airport at about 13:00, I had lunch on the plane in advance (because the play time is limited, so I have to compress the meal time). After getting the rental car, I set off directly. 🚗The route is as follows: Yani National Wetland Park (Pictures 1 and 2, about half an hour from the airport) → Yidanniang Buddha Palm Dune Scenic Area Mountain Motorcycle Club (Don't navigate directly to Buddha Palm Dune, see Picture 3) → Suosong Village Homestay Waiting for the sunrise (see Picture 4). 🔔This section of the road is easy to drive, because you will encounter many Tibetan pilgrims, and there are many speed testing points on the road, so the overall speed is about 40-60 miles. There is plenty of time, just take it slow and take pictures!📸✨ 2️⃣DAY2: The sunrise is relatively late in winter, and you can set off at about 10 o'clock. First stroll around in Suosong Village, admire Namjagbarwa Peak from different angles, and then go to Lulang. 🚗The route is as follows: Cloud Top Courtyard → Fairyland → Jimei Hotel → Gongzundem Farm (These attractions are all for viewing the snow-capped mountains. If you want to sleep more or avoid aesthetic fatigue, you can compress the time) → Depart at about 11 o'clock Sejila Mountain Pass Viewing Platform (first stop to see the snow-capped mountains, take a short rest, see Pictures 5, 6, and 7) → Lulang Forest Viewing Platform → Lulang Town (lunch) → Zaxigang Village (Maka Farm, see Pictures 8 and 9, you can see the cows and horses on the snow-capped grassland, have a cup of coffee and take a short rest) → Sejila Mountain Pass Viewing Platform (sunrise, see Picture 10) → Return to the hotel in Linzhi city. 🔔The section of the road to the Sejila Mountain Pass Viewing Platform is the 318 National Road. The road conditions are a bit icy, and the traffic flow is relatively large, so you must drive carefully. The car I rented at the time was a regular rear-drive sedan, without anti-skid chains, so be more careful when you see the sign indicating icy conditions. There is no problem if you drive slowly!❄️🚙 3️⃣DAY3: Take a walk in Linzhi city in the morning, if you have time, you can go to Binjiang Grassland Forest Park.
