The loop at the top of the bell for hanging is missing. On the upper portion, there are two bands of floral patterns and four trapezoidal decorations with knobs, below which hang two tassels. On the lower portion of the bell, four standing Bodhisattva images are represented as honored ones, joining their palms together and riding on clouds. It is the first such example to appear among the bronze Buddhist bells. An additional floral band lines the bottom rim of the bell, and the gong base is decorated with detailed lotus flower design. This bell follows the style typical of bells produced in the late Goryeo period. This bell serves as a fine example for the study of the production method of Buddhist bells from the Goryeo period, as well as the related patronage and the positions of the local government.

Luckily, the subway station is right next to it, and there is a convenience store inside where you can buy an umbrella. Don't underestimate cloudy days.

📍Bong Eun Sa ▪️Bong Eun Sa is a popular spot where you can see red plum blossoms along with Seoul Hanok :) ▪️It will be the most beautiful this week since it was 70% full as of 23.19 ㅎㅎㅎㅎ ▪️There are red plum blossoms and cornelian cherry here and there in the back, so I recommend taking a light walk ▪️The best part is that it is close to the subway station, so it is very convenient for walking ▪️However, there was a guard line near the red plum blossoms, so it was a little disappointing #SpringFlowers

I’ve lived in South Korea for more than two years now but it was my first time coming here. The scale of the city and my studies made it really hard for me to get out of the busy lifestyle, but going to this temple was really a very nice healing experience. The temple looks boring from the front. Walk further in towards the back and u will see a kind of little forest or park. The autumn foliage is simply gorgeous and out of this world. this place is an easy 500m walk from Coex Mall so u can easily combine this with a visit to Starfield Library and a meal in Coex Mall. #GiveThanks
