[Da Nang solo female travel] Top 3 best banh mi in Da Nang chosen by a banh mi enthusiast
I eat three banh mi a day in Ho Chi Minh City, and my house is filled with banh mi goods. I've carefully selected three delicious banh mi shops in Da Nang!
[1. Banh Mi AA]
A popular banh mi shop. I ordered the traditional banh mi from the several types available! You can add coriander for free if you ask.
It's full of ingredients, including floss, ham, roasted pork, and pickled vegetables. It's not as filling as the banh mi in Ho Chi Minh City, and the bread is light and crispy, so you can eat it all in one go.
And the pineapple juice here is served in a whole pineapple, which looks great! The taste was natural and delicious.
[2. Bánh mi Cô Tiên]
There are 15 types of banh mi, so there's quite a wide variety. The boy working there is polite and very nice.
I ordered a mango smoothie and a beef and cheese banh mi. The mango smoothie has a milky and creamy taste, probably because it contains condensed milk. The banh mi had a huge amount of cheese in it, and I was drowning in a sea of cheese 😂 It was hard to eat, but it was very delicious.
[3. Umm Banh Mi & Cafe]
A stylish banh mi cafe. The banh mi shops I visited in Da Nang were mostly Korean, but this one has a lot of Western customers. The staff are also kind, and you can leave out the coriander and green onions to your liking.
I ordered the Signature Coconut Coffee Ice Cream and the Traditional Baguette Banh Mi. The coconut coffee was just the right amount of sweet, and the bitterness of the coffee was brought out and it was delicious. The shaved coconut on top is irresistible for coconut lovers....
The baguette had a very light texture and was crispy and fluffy. The banh mi was easy to eat, with ham and pickled vegetables, and had no peculiar taste. The size was just right and it was delicious. They also served cold tea for free, so it was a cozy cafe!
Banh mi is a Vietnamese sandwich with boundless charm. Please try banh mi in Da Nang 🫶
