An Outdoor Adventure at Bird Paradise
#outdooradventures
Bird Paradise is more than just a zoo; it is a haven where birds from all over the world coexist in carefully designed environments that mimic their natural habitats. The park is divided into several themed zones, each representing different ecosystems such as the African Savannah, the South American Rainforest, and the Southeast Asian Wetlands. This thoughtful arrangement allows visitors to embark on a global journey without ever leaving Singapore.
Visitors can participate in feeding sessions, where they get the chance to hand-feed friendly lorikeets and other birds. For those seeking a bit of adventure, Bird Paradise boasts several scenic trails and walkways that wind through lush greenery and picturesque landscapes. The elevated walkways offer stunning views of the park and its inhabitants, allowing visitors to observe birds in flight and at rest. The Waterfall Aviary, one of the largest in the world, is a must-visit. An Exciting Day Out at Bird Paradise
#outdooradventures
We went to Bird Paradise for an outdoor adventure, and it was a blast! The place is huge, and you really get to see all kinds of birds up close. There are these massive walk-in aviaries where the birds just fly freely around you, which is super cool. There was a spot where you could feed the parrots.
One of the highlights was the waterfall aviary—so relaxing with the sound of water and birds all around. There were plenty of areas to rest and grab snacks, so we didn't feel rushed. Plus, the weather was perfect for a nice walk around the park.
The whole experience felt like a fun mix of learning and adventure, perfect for a day out in nature with friends or family!

Bird Paradise Singapore Waterfalls
#waterfall
If you love nature and enjoy spending time around birds, then Bird Paradise in Singapore is a must-visit. One of the main highlights of this place is its stunning waterfalls. They aren't just pretty to look at – they create a cool and relaxing atmosphere as you explore the aviary.
As you walk around, you’ll hear the sound of water splashing, which adds to the tropical vibe of the park. You can take some amazing photos with the waterfall as your background, especially when the sunlight hits just right.
The whole experience feels like a mini jungle adventure. The waterfalls, combined with the lush greenery and the vibrant birds flying around, make Bird Paradise a peaceful escape from the city hustle.

🇸🇬 Bird Paradise Waterfall
#waterfalls #100WaysOfTravel
Welcome to the newest attraction at Mandai Wildlife reserve and this is one out of the two waterfalls created specially for all guests at the Bird Paradise. Both are man-made waterfalls but you can even see the difference. This bigger waterfall is located right outside the entrance, near the bus stop area and you can view it for free. It spans over 2 levels and you can even get wet by approaching the waterfall. Around the waterfall area, it is also packed with restaurants, bistros and cafes and all diners can enjoy a nice walk by the waterfall after their meals. Even if you are not visiting the animals and birds at Mandai Wildlife reserve, you are also welcome to come over.

Discovering Avian Wonders Bird Paradise
#familytrips2024
When we went to Singapore Bird Paradise, my family and I were blown away by all the colorful birds and their sweet tunes. Walking those trails, it was like stepping into a whole new universe, with green everywhere and nature sounds chilling me out. Checking out the exhibits was rad too, learned loads about different bird types and where they live. And the shows? Mind-blowing. Totally unforgettable trip that made us all appreciate birds and why we gotta protect their homes. Plus, seeing those lovey-dovey birds and that white parrot cracking jokes at us? Hilarious!

Checking out the new parks in Singapore is simply a delight
The Bird Paradise aviary park in Singapore is a joy to visit. This park just opened last year and features pavilions like the Africa, Asia, and Australia exhibits, covering a vast area and including a wide variety of birds from all over the world. Each pavilion in the park is connected by air-conditioned corridors, so with a bit of planning, you won't have to worry about getting too much sun.
The huge indoor space provides the birds with a free and natural living environment. Here, you can see all kinds of birds, and some of the fringe activities for birds are very popular. Of course, the most interesting is the bird feeding, where you can get up close and personal with the birds and feel that sense of natural harmony. I especially love feeding the birds with plump juicy worms. On weekends, there are too many visitors, and the bird feeding activities are incredibly popular, so you definitely need to book in advance. Don't ask me how I know.
Next to the central square is a theater where there are 4 shows a day, two each of 'Soaring Wings' and 'Birds of Prey' performances. No booking is required here; just enter early, and it's well worth watching. If you're tired of walking, you can also take a little train ride, which only has 2 stops (Penguin Pavilion - Central Square), but usually, there's a long queue. Also, I want to ask, are penguins considered birds?
The venue is fully equipped with food, drinks, and entertainment options. Of course, the prices are not low, but if you're tired, you can also rest in an air-conditioned room. It is said that Bird Paradise is currently the largest bird-themed zoo in the world, and it's really a great place to visit~

The best bird park I've ever been to so far!
The newly opened Jurong Bird Park in Singapore this May has completely redefined my understanding of a bird park.
It features eight new aviaries, including the rainforests of Africa, the wetlands of South America, the rice paddies of Southeast Asia, and the eucalyptus forests of the Australian Outback, making the birds feel right at home. They are not at all shy, allowing for 💯 close encounters.
If there's a downside, it might be that the birds🐦 are too 'free', which makes the working folks jealous.
The new bird park is actually the relocated Jurong Bird Park, and now Mandai's four big zoos are all together, with the other three being the Singapore Zoo, the Night Safari, and the River Safari. To cover them all takes at least two days.
Here are some photo spots📷 in the bird park:
1⃣️ The grand waterfall at the drop-off area is spectacular.
2⃣️【Asian Birds Aviary】 The terraces and Balinese gate, where you can feed pelicans.
3⃣️【Scarlet Wetlands】 At the entrance, there's a mosaic wall of macaws, and inside, you can see flamingos by the waterfall and dine at the Crimson restaurant while watching the flamingos stroll.
4⃣️【Heart of Africa】's chain-link suspension bridge, where you can feed African greys and other small birds, especially feels romantic at sunset.
5⃣️【Penguin Cove】 The light filtering down to the lowest level is beautiful.
Since the entire park is brand new and designed with a top global concept, there are many more beautiful and fun things to explore slowly.
👉 If you can't find the photo spots, feel free to DM me😊

Getting There:
Embarking on a journey to Bird Paradise is as delightful as the destination itself. We opted for the convenient and scenic bus ride, choosing Bus 927 from Choa Chu Kang MRT. Alternatively, those from the North can hop on Bus 138 from Ang Mo Kio MRT or catch a free shuttle bus from Khatib MRT.
Experience:
Total duration for a comprehensive exploration: 2 hours (3 hours for an immersive experience)
Our adventure began at 9 am, with a short stroll from the bus stop to the park entrance. Notably, the park tickets are virtual QR codes, streamlining the entry process.
Bird Paradise, having opened just last year, stands out with its modernity and cleanliness. Navigating the park was a breeze, thanks to a well-planned route that eliminated the need for backtracking.
Guests have the convenience of renting strollers from the Guest Service, located inside the entrance. To enhance visitor experience, there are strategically placed toilets and resting spots in each zone. However, be mindful that eating is restricted in some areas due to free-roaming birds.
To fully immerse yourself in the park, the Mandai app proves invaluable. It provides schedules for bird feedings and performances, allowing you to seamlessly plan your exploration.
Seeking refuge from the midday sun, we kicked off our adventure with the Winged Sanctuary. This captivating exhibition showcases a variety of birds, including hornbills, eagles, and a host of other large and tiny species. The journey continues into the Australia Outback exhibition, where birds fly freely, creating an immersive and interactive experience.
For a refreshing conclusion, we headed to Penguin Cove—the only indoor exhibition equipped with air conditioning. Here, we marveled at the charming penguins, wrapping up our visit on a cool note.
Tips for a Memorable Visit:
Visit on weekdays to avoid crowds and have a more serene experience.
Morning visits are recommended for optimal bird activity.
In summary, our experience at Bird Paradise was nothing short of delightful. The park's thoughtful design, interactive exhibitions, and the chance to witness birds in their natural habitats made it a memorable outing. Whether you're a bird enthusiast or simply seeking a unique and refreshing escape, Bird Paradise in Singapore promises a day well spent.

Penguin Cove Restaurant at Bird Paradise 🇸🇬

Penguin Cove Restaurant is a restaurant located in the Penguin Cove section of Bird Paradise in Mandai Singapore, where guests can help themselves to a buffet spread while watching penguins dive.
It offers only lunch and the food selection is a mix of local and international flavours.
The main feature was the penguin bun, really cute yet tasty.
Highly recommended as it’s truly an experience to eat while enjoying the company of penguins diving next to the restaurant!

Bird Paradise Penguin Cove, Finally! I got to visit the new Bird Paradise at Mandai, and I absolutely love the new Penguin Cove. It's Huge and so much better than the old penguin cove! Now I can even capture videos of penguins swimming up-close, both from above and below the water. There are a ton of them, and they're incredibly adorable, of course!
Just observing the penguins going about their activities is so addictive. You can never get tire of it. Can literally sit and watch them all day!

Singapore's Largest Bird Paradise 🦜🐦
Bird Paradise has now moved to Mandai, which is located close by the Singapore Zoo, and with it's big landspace of 42 Acres, it is Singapore's largest bird park. Bird Paradise had just opened in May 2023, making it one of the newest attraction here. It houses more than 3500 kinds of birds and you will be blown away with their different species of birds in this beautiful park.
Bird paradise is spilt into different zones such as the penguin cove, wings of Asia, crimson wetlands, etc. At the different zones, you get to see different birds in their actual habitat and enclosure. For instance, at wings of Asia, you will see the popular hornbill and milky storks, while at crimson wetlands, you will see the pink African flamingos and scarlet macaw, etc. In some parts of bird paradise, birds are allowed to roam and fly freely. It such a pretty sight as you see these colourful birds flying above you or near you. It is also educational as you learn more about these birds and my kids enjoyed themselves so much, with all the different interactive stations/exhibits.
Go for the bird shows as they are equally good. There are 2 shows to catch - 'Wings of the world' and 'predators on wings'. Bird paradise is open from monday-sunday, 9am-6pm. Be sure to spend a day at bird paradise and you will enjoy your time with all the precious birds there.

The 32 penguins were among the last few birds to move over to their new home! They were transported on 28 April 2023 to their new habitat which is the Ocean Network Express Penguin Cove in Bird Paradise. Their new home is three times the size of the previous exhibit at Jurong Bird Park. Not only the size is much bigger, it also features Southern lights and deeper tanks.
There is also a cafe and shop in there. Where you can enjoy the food while watching the penguins. But the cafe is quite small, so limited seats available.
It was a nice experience. If you love watching Happy Feet, hurry head down and watch them in live!

Australian Outback Aviary 🦘
#mysgmemories
As the name says, is to resemble Australia, once visitors enter, you will be surrounded by reddish surroundings and rock or even aboriginal rock paintings.
It actually resemble the one in Singapore Zoo a lot. (I’ve been to Australia, the real deal has way become land space than us). The aviary one of the smaller ones and goes in the zig zag route, but you will get to see a lot of birds up close. We even saw a kangaroo LOL something super unexpected in Bird Paradise. On one end of the aviary you will see little huts where you can take a rest. We also saw the birds chilling near the pond because it was such a a hot day.
Unlike other aviaries we saw some of the birds in enclosure.

Entrance of Bird Paradise 🦜
#mysgmemories
Bird Paradise opened recently and I was thrilled to find out I will be there for work! I took a bus to Mandai, and it’s the first stop before the Singapore Zoo and Night Safari.
After seeing the place being built for years while on my way in for other works. It’s so surreal to finally visit and explore it.
It really felt different as they have the Mandai Wildlife park that’s feels manmade yet infused with natural element that seems like a steeping stone for kids to bring their children to. It will allow them a first step to playing in nature places such as forest.
There is a sheltered walkway all the way to bird paradise with either F&B options or nature options

Heart of Africa
#mysgmemories
Heart of Africa was rather unique as you enjoy the places midair on bridges. Just like how a tropical forests. It is one of largest the aviaries because of conservation efforts to preserve over 150 mature trees. As the ground area is in accessible to us because it’s in accessible to us, it really felt like we are out in the forest area, bird watching from a far, and you can even see birds fly below you. Don’t forget to have a go a the suspension bridge or visit the observation tower. We spotted the lesser flamingos easily too since they are in a big flock together!

Crimson Wetlands Aviary 🦩
#mysgmemories
The Crimson Wetlands was the first aviary that I entered so I was very amazed by how outdoor it looks, it’s almost another world. Interally, I can still remember how the flamingo old habitat looks like in Jurong Bird Park. The birds are free to fly anywhere, other than flamingo, you can see macaws and etc and a 20m tall waterfall that plays tribute to the one in Jurong Bird Park. This habitat is to mimc the South America's flooded savannahs. As it supposed to resemble open spaces, it might get really hot so be sure to bring an umbrella or wear a hat.

Wings of Asia Aviary 🌾
#mysgmemories
The moment you step into Wings of Asia, it feels like you are in Bali’s rice fields, however as it was a really hot day. The birds were all taking shelter. At this exact location where Wings of Asia is located likes a former village with fruit trees, which Mandai actually retained! (We heard that the birds can enjoy the fruits). This aviary is home to the Papuan hornbill, one of them Sally the hornbill is actually a star of Mandai! And other birds such as the black-faced spoonbill, Great argus, Green peafowl and Bard Headed Goose. A nice play to experience Bali for people like me who have never been there.

🐧Penguin Cove ❄️
#mysgmemories
The penguin cove was something that I was looking forward to because penguins are so cute and the place is sheltered and cooler!!! I heard that inside the habitat it is about 8 degrees~ I read up that the cove even mimics lighting from different times and season of the year to simulate how life would be in nature. Or even releasing fish in random times. The habitat is so big, you can watch penguins dive down. Or see them going between islands. Don’t forget to spot the cute penguin themed food and cake! There is even a buffet if you are feeling rich.
