Pizza Delight at Mopi’s Place 🍕🌄
#celebrateit #MopisPlace
Close to Kelimutu National Park, Mopi’s Place turned out to be the last place we expected to find an amazing pizza—but that’s exactly what we got. After a long day of hiking and taking in the surreal beauty of Kelimutu’s crater lakes, a good meal was all we needed, and Mopi’s delivered big time.
The pizza arrived fresh out of the oven, with a crispy-yet-chewy crust, generous toppings, and just the right amount of cheese. Whether it was the classic Margherita or a fully loaded version, every bite was pure, satisfying goodness. 🍽️🔥
Beyond the food, Mopi’s Place has a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. With its open-air setup, friendly staff, and the kind of laid-back energy that makes you want to stay a little longer, it’s the perfect spot to recharge after an adventure. We also tired there burger the next day for lunch - and let me tell you the burger is also amazing !!
If you’re in the Ende Regency area, don’t skip a stop here. Great pizza, a chill vibe, and a perfect way to end the day—what more could you ask for? 🍕✨

Tasty Surprise at Modi’s Place in Moni 🍔🔥
#celebrateit #ModisPlace
We stopped by Modi’s Place for lunch—and wow, did we make the right choice! This little eatery might not look fancy, but the food speaks for itself. We ordered burgers, and they were seriously good—juicy, flavorful, and made with fresh ingredients. 🍔✨
The buns were soft, the patty was perfectly grilled, and the toppings were just right—no weird overload, just simple and delicious. Plus, the fries on the side were crispy and golden. It was the kind of meal that makes you pause and appreciate the fact that good food can be found in the most unexpected places.
Modi himself is super friendly, and the atmosphere here is relaxed and welcoming. Whether you’re coming back from a Kelimutu sunrise hike or just wandering around Moni, this is a great spot to sit back and refuel. 🌿☀️
If you’re in Moni and craving something other than rice and noodles, Modi’s Place is a must-try. A good burger in a small mountain town? Absolutely worth it. 💯🔥
Colored lakes at the peak of a volcano
Kelimutu is a volcano in central Flores, Indonesia, near the small town of Moni. It's about 50 kilometers east of Ende, Indonesia, which serves as the capital of the Ende regency in East Nusa Tenggara province. It features three different colored volcanic crater lakes.
The three colored lakes at the peak of Mount Kelimutu are undoubtedly Flores' most beautiful natural attraction. Each of the three lakes has a distinct color, ranging from blue and green to murky brown and black, depending on the season and time of year. The 20-kilometer journey is well worth it just to see these three magnificent lakes. You can alternatively take public transportation to a parking lot and walk to the lakes for a 30-minute trek.

Kelimutu National Park
Beautiful mountain famous for its three-coloured lakes. Their continuously improving the park, providing steps and paths that make it easier for visitors to reach the top. You can get a local guide to describe the park and show great views. The colors of the lakes change, so you may get to see a different shade of green or murky blue, depending on the time. I came in February which was a rainy season in here. It was not such a long hike to the top but the view is incredible. It is easy to climb up there but you better prepare a mask to cover your face from sulfur smell. You should hike before sunrise and watch sunrise up there if you’re lucky! ☀️🌤🌟⛰ #nationalpark #urbanexplorer #mountainview
