The Tian Tan Buddha is located on the mountain near the Pattaya Pier. In addition to the imposing Tian Tan Buddha statue sitting here, there are also many golden Buddha statues in the temple, which represent the Buddha on one to seven days a week. Believers can take incense to worship the day they were born. The Buddha represented, adding good luck and brilliance to oneself. Because the Big Buddha Temple is located at the commanding heights, the scenery is very good, especially when you go up the mountain to worship the Buddha at dusk, you can also see the beautiful sunset and the invincible sea view of Pattaya, killing two birds with one stone.

Make merit for prosperity at Wat Khao Phra Yai, Khao Phra Tamnak, Pattaya
Enjoy the blessings and the beautiful view of the entire city of Pattaya at Luang Por Phra Yai, which is the Sukhothai Walai Chonlatarn Buddha, a large golden Buddha statue located in the middle of the temple, built in 1977, making it over 40 years old.

[Pattaya] When you think of Big Buddha, you think of Wat Phra Yai
📍Wat Phra Yai
It is located on top of a mountain about 10 minutes by motorbike or songthaew from central Pattaya.
It is a relatively easy-to-get tourist spot that can be reached on foot👟
If you climb to the top of the mountain, you can get a panoramic view of Pattaya city!
It is famous for the Buddha seen from the stairs, and many people take photos there, so we recommend taking a photo from in front of the stairs!
It is a tourist spot that you can get to quickly and it only takes 10-15 minutes.
If you go to Pattaya, please go there!

Pattaya greatest moments
Pattaya was awesome. We started the trip to the sanctuary of truth where we find out the truth of life. It is a great reminder of who we are, why are we on this earth and what do we want to accomplish in our lifetime. The backdrop is perfect for photos and costume rental is available. There are also elephant riding.
Next en routed big Buddha temple for prayers and next take a slow walk in Pattaya walking street where there are lots of bars.
Take a slow boat ride at Pattaya floating market to immerse fully in the experience.

wonderful Buddha Statue on a hilltop
this is a great place to visit. beautiful Buddhist temple on a hilltop in the centre of Pattaya. the most important thing is that this is free of charge. however, the view from the temple is beautiful, you are able to see the park tower, the city and the beach.
I’ve seen lots of Buddha statues since I arrived in Thailand, this temple not only has Buddha, it also has other religious characters on site. lots of people come to pray and visit.
there are some shops nearby where you can get some things to eat. this is one of the most important sites in pattaya, there are lots of tourist bus coming. the stairs to the Buddha statue is not that steep, really accessible to everyone!
strongly recommended #passionpassport #staycation #gooutside #beachlife

Big Buddha Temple Pattaya (Wat Phra Yai)
The Big Buddha Temple in Pattaya, also called Buddha was built in 1977 on the Hill or Wat Phra Yai, is the largest Buddha in Pattaya, Chon buri Province. This enormous Buddha stands on a hill south of Pattaya. The 130 meter high hill, rather mountain, is called Khao Chee Chan but also listens to the name Buddha Mountain, you can understand why … From the hill you have phenomenal views over Pattaya, Jomtien Beach and the ocean.
Inside the temple complex are even smaller Buddha statues. it is really a spiritual place.
Although the temple is near the touristy Pattaya Beach and there are crowded with tourists

its a beautiful temple on a mountain . You will walk up a flight of steps with the protective Nagas on both sides and be greeted at the top by the 18 meter tall Buddha statue and a collection of additional buddha statues Ample parking is available and its free of charge to visit i don't know now since it is way back 3 years ago😅😅
This is a lovely little temple, with a large Buddha. There are plenty of vendors selling offerings, if happened you forgot to bring your sarong with you, you can rent for 50 to 100 baht each. We took time just enjoy the serenity of a site. we also did counting the spine of the naga which Thai people believe brings luck. Some lovely views of Pattaya from here and a number of smaller Statues on this site. But I must also mention the adjoining Chinese Temple just a two minute walk from here. I'm sure many people won't see this, but it's well worth taking a look. I spent longer there than Big Buddha. It has interesting features like the pictorial display of the 24 gratitudes, the Zhong Sun garden, Statues of Philosophers Confucious and Lao Tzu. There are information boards around the site in English. Don't miss this adjoining site. (6th photo)

Big Buddha Temple, Pattaya
🥰 Wat Khao Phra Yai on Khao Phra Tamnak, look carefully at the sign, go up the side that is a public park for exercise.
🌿 It is a temple on a hill, you have to climb the Naga stairs to worship the Big Buddha. Behind the Buddha is a viewpoint, which is the Jomtien Beach side of Pattaya.
** Anyone wearing shorts must wear a sarong, which the temple provides.
🔴 There are quite a lot of steps for the elderly and those with difficulty walking. Walk slowly, look carefully, and be careful not to trip.

Big Buddha Temple in Pattaya
On the hill of South part of Pattaya (next to Pattaya Park) you can visit this beautiful temple - Big Buddha Temple. You have to walk to the hill around 100 meters and all the way up you can see this Big golden Buddha. Once you arrive on the top you can see additional 8 Buddhas representing each day of week (for Wednesday they have two, I don’t know why). You can do some donations here instead of entrance fees. This place is very busy during weekend and Buddhist holidays.

Big Buddha
Big Buddha is one of the attractions of Pattaya.
Before entering the complex, you can go through a certain ritual: go to the monk, he will read a prayer and tie a rope-amulet on your hand. They say that you need to make a wish. And it will come true when the rope falls off.
The main attraction of the complex is the statue of the Big Buddha. There are also statues dedicated to each day of the week. You can go to the statue of the day you were born. And make a wish.
There is also a statue of wealth with a hole in the stomach. You need to move a distance and throw coins there. Whoever hits it, expects financial well-being. I got it).
There is also a misprint of the Buddha's foot. If you put a coin there edgewise, then well-being awaits. I succeeded).
And near the stairs there are bells. If you hit them all with a sledgehammer, you can cleanse yourself of sins.

Big Buddha Temple: Pattaya's Majestic Landmark
We visited Pattaya's Big Buddha Temple and were immediately struck by its towering, peaceful presence. The golden statue stood majestically, overlooking the city and offering a sense of calm.
The view from the temple was absolutely breathtaking, with panoramic vistas of Pattaya’s coastline and cityscape below. It was the perfect place to take in the beauty of the area.
As we explored the temple grounds, we felt a deep sense of tranquility. The serene atmosphere and stunning surroundings made our visit truly memorable, leaving us with a sense of peace and reflection.

The Big Buddha in Pattaya, also known as Wat Phra Yai, is one of the city's most popular attractions. Standing 18 meters tall on Pratumnak Hill, the golden Buddha statue is a striking sight and a spiritual landmark. Visitors can climb a staircase adorned with dragon-like serpents to reach the temple, where they’ll enjoy sweeping views of Pattaya and Jomtien Beach. The atmosphere is calm, and the temple grounds feature several smaller statues. It’s a great place for both spiritual reflection and taking in the beauty of Pattaya's landscape.

18-Meter tall statue!
In the 1977 when Pattaya was a fishing village, this temple was constructed and claimed it’s fame due to its size! It is 18 meters tall, sitting on top of the hill, overlooking a part of the city and the sea. The seven headed Nagas at the foot end of the stairs leading to the statue were designed to guard it.
🚌 Reaching the Big Buddha is a quick 20 min drive from Terminal 21.
🎟️The entrance is free
💧There are vendors selling refreshments at the entrance.
👗The dressing code is indicated at the entrance stating photography with the statue is forbidden with revealing clothing.
A great visit for those that hasn’t seen such big statues.

My friend and I were at the Big Buddha, we walked along the walking route, the path starts from the west of the island, from the Kata beach side, I highly recommend walking along it, the entrance to the Buddha is until 17:00, you won’t be able to go in later, you can just take pictures on the Buddha itself, I was here 7 years ago, nothing has changed at all since then, it’s very sad

The big Buddha is located in the Pattaya area. You can take a taxi there or book a driver to include this big Buddha into your travel itinerary . You can go up to the temple to have a great viewpoint of the area . You can even make a wish at the top of the temple. There are several Buddha statues along the way . Big Buddha Temple
#pattayatrip Visiting the Big Buddha Temple in Bangkok is an experience that stays with you. From the moment my friend and I set foot on the temple grounds, we were swept away by the serenity and beauty that enveloped us. The temple, also known as Wat Phra Yai, houses an enormous golden Buddha statue that is not only a testament to religious devotion but also a masterpiece of Thai craftsmanship. Standing at an impressive height and visible from miles away, it dominates the landscape with a calm yet majestic aura.
The temple is nestled on a hill, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding area. The journey up the steps to the Big Buddha is a spiritual ascent into a realm of peace and contemplation. The atmosphere is thick with the scent of incense and the sounds of distant chants, which enhances the sense of spirituality that permeates the place.
The architecture of the temple, with its intricate designs and traditional Thai elements, is a visual treat. The Buddha itself is a sight to behold, with each detail of the statue meticulously crafted, radiating a sense of inner peace that is almost tangible.
What made the visit truly memorable was the warm hospitality of the locals and the monks who maintain the temple. They share stories and insights about the temple’s history and significance, which enriches the visit far beyond a simple tourist experience.
The Big Buddha Temple is not just a place to visit; it's a place to experience tranquility, reflect on life, and appreciate the beauty that human faith and artistry can create. For anyone traveling to Bangkok, this is a must-visit destination that offers a unique blend of spiritual enrichment and cultural exploration.
