The one on the right is the Christ Church Cathedral in Dublin, also known as the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity. It is the principal cathedral of Dublin and the oldest of the two medieval cathedrals in the city. The identity of this cathedral is quite special. It is not only the most important cathedral of the Church of Ireland but also the episcopal seat of the Roman Catholic Church in Dublin. The cathedral was originally built during the early 11th century under the rule of the Viking King Sitric Silkenbeard, with Dublin's first bishop overseeing its construction. It was rebuilt during the late 12th century under the rule of the Norman King Strongbow and underwent significant expansion in the early 13th century. The cathedral partially collapsed in the 16th century and was extensively restored in the 19th century, overseen by the British architect Street, who had also worked on the reconstruction of Bristol Cathedral. This restoration gave the cathedral its present Victorian Gothic style, including the tower, flying buttresses, and the archway bridge that were added during that period. There are many bars and restaurants 🍻(a little bit overpriced) and the overall vibe is incredible. There’s a real Irish feeling here. One pub I really like is O’Neills on Suffolk Street. 👌 Hotels - Looking for a place to stay? 🏨 Check out the Paramount hotel in Temple Bar. It’s central and the price was reasonable for Dublin when I stayed. Restaurants - One of my favorite places to eat in Dublin is Captain Americas. 🇺🇸You’ll find it at the top of Grafton Street. You won’t get your authentic Irish experience but the food is really good! 🍔 Shopping - Henry Street on the North Side and Grafton Street on the South Side are line with all the major high street brands!🛍️ If you’re looking for a mall head to the Jervos Street shopping center.
