OK Betong, the southernmost part of Siam with delicious food.
Finally got here. Betong. Traveling from Hat Yai, about 3 hours. The whole way is very beautiful. In addition to being eye-catching, the fruit and delicious food are also delicious. 🧑🏻🍳Restaurant name: Ta Yen (Kitti)
✔️Recommended menu: Everything I ordered was delicious, Betong chicken, stir-fried noodles, Kao Yok. It was worth every curve that I drove to get here. ⭐️Rating: 9/10, deducting 1 point, not because of the taste, but because the staff didn't communicate very well. 💰Average price: 300 baht/person
📍Favorite restaurant location: Not far from Betong Clock Tower
🗣️Additional recommendations: Another thing you must order is Mantou. It's super delicious. Served hot, eaten with Kao Yok, it's super delicious.

OK Betong
The southernmost of Siam, Betong, which impressed me, a city that is said to be quiet, but when you actually go there, it is not quiet, it is lively, very livable. The houses and buildings look beautiful, whether it is the clock tower made of marble, maintaining its classic style, the Betong Mongkhonrit Tunnel, which is about 270 meters long, with lights along the way. Everyone must go check in. Everything is like the city's architecture, beautiful, simple but not too luxurious. The people there are very lovely, very welcoming. #Betong is more than OK.

The largest mailbox in Thailand, Betong
The first giant mailbox was located at the corner of Sukyang Road, at the clock tower intersection in the heart of Betong. It was built in 1924, before World War II, by Mr. Songwan Jirajinda, a former postmaster and telegraph officer and former mayor of Betong District. There was a radio on the top of the box. The purpose of the box was to report news of the city to the people of Betong. It has been used as a mailbox to this day. Currently, a new, larger mailbox has been built at the community hall on Sukyang Road. It is 9 meters high and is a popular spot for tourists to stop and take photos as souvenirs.
If you visit Betong, don't forget to stop and take photos at this spot. There are two places that are not far from each other.

My Solo Trip to Betong, Thailand
#solotravel
#100waysoftravel
Betong is one of the best places for solo travelers, and it's not too far from Malaysia, making it a convenient destination. The drive from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, takes about 5 hours, so it’s perfect for a short getaway.
On my trip to Betong, I had the chance to explore a few interesting places. The first stop was the Betong Clock Tower, located right in the center of the town. It’s an iconic landmark, and a great spot to start your exploration of the area.
Next, I headed to the Morning Market. As a solo traveler, I loved walking through the bustling market, filled with fresh produce, local snacks, and a glimpse into the daily life of the locals. The vibe was lively, and it was a nice way to experience the culture.
After the market, I visited Kasong Supermarket for some shopping. It’s a good place to pick up local products and souvenirs. As someone traveling alone, I enjoyed taking my time browsing the aisles and discovering new things.
Finally, I made my way to the Iconic Tunnel, another must-see in Betong. The tunnel is not only visually impressive but also a key part of the town’s history. Walking through it gave me a sense of the town’s charm and significance.
Betong was a wonderful place for solo travel, offering a mix of culture, shopping, and sightseeing, all within a short distance from Malaysia.

"Thailand's southernmost town, Betong: a weekend resort suitable for relaxation"
Betong is a small town located in the southernmost part of Thailand, connected to the Malaysian territory. Chinese and Malays make up the majority of the population, so there is no need to worry too much about food or communication.
————————————————————
This originally unknown town🏡, through word of mouth from many people, has gradually become a great place for weekend travel🗺️, and a resort for many city dwellers to experience rural life and relax. There is the Betong Clock Tower⏰ nearby, which is a landmark. This area is also the most prosperous place in the city. The world's largest mailbox, historical relics of the Malayan Communist Party, sea of clouds, food street, it is also a great place for taking photos. Invite a few friends to take a walk and appreciate the shock this town brings you🤩

You don't have to run with Brother Toon to go to Betong. It's not as scary as you think. The Chinese-style food looks very delicious: Betong Chicken, Steamed Pork Belly with Taro, Stir-fried Long Beans in Oil, etc. Wake up early to go to the Skywalk at Aiyoeweng Glass Bridge, see the mist turn into cotton candy, stop by the hot springs, the flower fields, have a break to eat traditional grass jelly, local food, Shogun Orange Garden, you can stop by and buy fresh from the garden. Oh, there's also Betong Airport. 😊😊😊

Betong city has a very good atmosphere when it rains, with light fog and a cool atmosphere. In Betong city, there is a viewpoint where you can see the beautiful scenery around Betong city. There is a clock tower in the middle of the roundabout before entering the Betong tunnel. There are many famous foods. You must come to visit Betong city to see the beauty of Betong city. And there are many more tourist attractions. The southernmost part of Siam is very beautiful.
