Natural scenery
Benxi Water Cave is located in Benxi City, Liaoning Province. It is a large water-filled cave formed hundreds of thousands of years ago. It is the longest underground river in the world that can be visited by boat. The entire Attraction is composed of water caves, geological Attraction, Tiesha Mountain and Miaohou Mountain, which are distributed in a belt along the Taizi River. Tourists come here mainly to visit the water caves and museums. The water cave is divided into two caves, the water cave and the dry cave, with many stalactites of various shapes. You need to go boating to visit the water cave. The entrance of Benxi Water Cave faces south and north, and the entrance is half-moon-shaped. Above the entrance is written the four big characters "Benxi Water Cave". Entering the entrance is the "reception hall", which is very large and can accommodate thousands of people. From the hall to the right is a 300-meter-long dry cave, which is staggered and has caves in the cave. On the top and rock walls of the cave, you can see many stalactites of various shapes, such as ancient wells, dragon pools, and Baibu Pools. At the end of the dry cave is a clear pool, which is bottomless and the water vapor coming up is very cold. After exiting the cave and returning to the lobby, there is a pier leading to the water cave in front of the lobby. The water surface here is very large and can accommodate 40 cruise ships. Under the illumination of the Souvenir lights, it is like a quiet and unique harbor. Tourists walk down the steps from the revetment stone, get on the boat from the pier through the corridor, and start to swim in the water cave. There are many scenes formed by stalactites of various shapes in the whole water cave. Along the way, you can see stalactites such as Baolian Lantern, Yitian Long Sword, Crocodile Head, Corn Tower, One-horned Rhino, Spring Bamboo Shoots, Leaning Tower, Elephant, Snow Mountain, etc. on both sides of the river. In particular, the three scenes of Corn Tower, Jade Elephant and Snow Mountain are in line with their names and are almost real. In addition to the stalactites on both sides of the river, the stalagmites are picturesque and in various shapes, there are also stalactites hanging high on the top of the cave, which are very crystal and colorful, full of fun. The whole journey takes about 20 minutes. After visiting the water cave, you can visit the nearby Benxi Geological Museum, where you can learn about the main geological changes from the birth of the earth to the present. The museum also displays many precious samples of geological relics and prehistoric relics in the scenic Attraction, which are of great viewing value. There is only one restaurant in the Dining Attraction- Shuidong Juxianlou Hotel. Dining here is expensive, so it is recommended that tourists bring their own food.
